i just thought about it, is 500watts woth 50bux? the bx is only 235$ and the PA is 299$ diffrence is about 500watts giv or take. which one? or just found it the Viper D2500.1 for 355$

this weekend i worked on the car some. i installed my voltmeter, when i installed it it said "LO" figured cuz the car wasent on well i was working on it and the batt drained some. so i hooked up a charger and let it charge well i finnished wireing my active front stage and my sax100.4. when i was done i turned the car on and i had nothing playing at all. volt meter went up to 11volts, i drove around and the highest it goes is 11.4. i have the big 3 done. i have an optima g35 under the hood 720 cold cranking amps. when i stop at a red light it drops down back to "LO" witch is under 10 volts. i have an 06 envoy. when i was running my wires and installing everything i notice…

Lately I have been having some problems with my alt for some reason. Two days ago on Friday it was working fine and steadily charging around 14.4 while I was driving. Yesterday out of no where while I was driving (not listening to my system) it just decided to drop down to about 12.9. Today while driving I noticed that when I pressed the gas my voltage would severely go down but then if I let off the gas while in gear my voltage would start to rise. When I put it in neutral it would go back down again. today iinstalled 2 15" idq's in individual sealed compartment..maybe 1.75ft^3 a piece, being pushed off a memphis pr series amp(the big 2 channel one) and here's the deal...after a few bass hits..it quits playin....one sub sucks in and the other pushes out. u turn the h/u for a few seconds, it'll start playing again and then uit again. here is what i checked.. 1) the amp never goes into protect mode and doesn't shut off when the subs quit playin...also the amp was benched about a month ago because of the same problem..different car...tested ok 2) all connections are tight..had to fix a few on the box terminals 3) changed from mono bridged to stereo to play with the impede…

Current setup is in sig. I ordered my XCON a couple of weeks ago and I'm shopping around for amps to power it. It'll go in an optimal ported enclosure. I've checked db-r.com and the classifieds in caraudio.com, here, ebay, amazon, and woofersetc. Sundown amps, DB Drive amps, Crescendo, Cadence, Audiopipe, Nakamichi, Planet Audio, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting to name. I know 300w or even 600w will make the XCON pound, but with a 200A alt, I can get up to 1200w each. My goals are mostly SPL, but I hope to retain the SQ that I am LOVING with my ID components. does anybody know what size kinetik or powermaster will fit under hood of expedition? I am going to run either powermaster 3100 or couple kinetik 2000s in back, but expedition has side post in front, and not much clearance for hood.

Hi all Ok this is the problem On the big three the alternator power.... It says to upgrade that... now this is the issue i discovered tracking down my voltage drop... My alternator wire goes from the alt to a fuse box (factory) then from the fuse box to the front battery... now my rear battery taps off the front battery.... all 0/1 guage wire... I changed the wire from the alt to the fuse box to 0/1 So i need to change the fuse box to the bat now to 0/1 OR is just going straight from the alt to the rear battery an option (fused with 200 amps of course)

whats a good amp for a fi ssd with flatwind coil and bp option added? thats not a high price tag preferably under $300

I forgot how I had the settings on my SAZ-1200... so How do I set things on here, Ill list ones I dont know Rofl. ( I will set bass boost on OFF obv. And ill set the Gain with my DMM with 50hz tone ) Now.. What should Subsonic filter be set to? Its from 10~60hz What should LPF be?... 35hz~300hz? And Phase?.. 0~180? Hey guys, I have a dxz925 clarion deck and wanted to know about the filter on the deck and my amp. Is it all by ear? I currently have the deck lp filter off and the amp around 60-70hz? Hard to tell with the generic dial on the amp. Is it better to have both on? I have a choice of 50, 80, and 120hz on the deck, and 50hz on up on the amp. I notice the subs sound weird when I turn the amp xo up to much, don't know how to describe the sound, but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. So would you recommend me trying? thanks. btw the gains are about 1/2 way up. sealed box, so ssf is off.

After months of dealing with pioneers terrible customer service, one tech finally tells me that there was supposed to be a four foot usb extension capable of carrying the video signal from my iphone to the unit in the box. Unfortunately, even though ive been dealing with them since january, they wont send me one on them becuase its been over thirty days since i bought it. Anyways... I really need one longer anyways. It needs to be able to carry the signal and be at least 12 ft long. Any ideas?

as some of you know, i have an 84 300D benz, and i have had this freakin 200a alt lyin around in my room waiting to be installed for 4 months. My dad is weary about installing this into my car because he is scared that if the regulator goes out, it will overcharge and blow my battery up. Other concerns are the stock wiring (not the big 3 wiring) the dimmer wire, startup wire and all that good stuff (all in a wiring harness) is going to catch fire. His wearyness has caught on to me and i am scared that my car is gonna catch fire. Hi guys, I found very good prices on these 2 amplifiers on Audiosavings. They're cheap (less than $450) and claim to be powerful. I am surprised by the fuse rating on both of them : they need 130 or 150 amp fuse only for +2000 watts. My current amp, a Sundown saz 1500 needs a 150 amp fuse. I know Cadence and US Amps are well known brands. How can that be ? Are their ratings legit, or are they overated ? I still want for my BTL N2. I will upgrade the electrical after I get the amplifier. I will add or change battery for an AGM one (probably an Optima Yellowtop) later. what do you think about these 2 amps ? zrs c1 and md3 ?

Does anyone have any ideas? It hooks up to the cd changer plug on the back of the head unit

OK I got an LED rocker switch from O'reillys to turn h/u on and off on the powerwheels like an ignition. If I hook up the wire from my fuse block to the hot side and the load wire to either other post I get the led but no h/u. If I hook up all 3 posts (pos,load,neg) I blow a fuse as soon as I flip the switch. I don't know if running the red and yellow wire together causes to much draw, or if the ground isnt really a ground? But I'm confused and slightly annoyed...

i bought 2 group 31 batteries for my truck last year, they are now dead to the point that they can not start my truck in teh cold. i do not have lots of money to spend so i am looking for advice on whawt the best batteries are with out spending 700 on stingers. I have a cummins turbo deisel that requires about 220A for 30 seconds in cold weather to heat the air intake, it pulls 750-950A from the starter for about 15 seconds of cranking when cold. i have 1500W of amps for mids/highs and a 2500.1 for my sub. my alt can handle them just fine while running. what 2 batteries should i get? should i go agm for starting or stick wtih liquid acid?

I have a 2009 Ford Escape with factory sirius installed. My question is i have my Alpine CDA-9887 from my 05 escape that i'm putting in and want to know if i need anything else to get sirius through my alpine besides the KCA-SC100 Sirius Satellite Radio Plug and Play Interface.? Does the factory installed sirius unit plug into the kca-sc100? Do i have to buy anything else??

I have a PPI pc1800.2 that burned out. I haven't opened it yet to see what fried but it's definitely dead. I was wondering if anyone knew of a place down in Glendale or LA or even OC that knows where I can get it repaired? It's a sexy amp and I'm not willing to let it go.
