I just got it in the mail today and I want to intall in my 07 Suburban. Anyone here who has this install on they're tahoe/suburban, where did you mout these unit at? Did you mout it on the firewall, or did you mout it near the fuse box? Is there an easy accessory wire available under the hood that I could use to turn the isolator on/off? Also is there anything else I have to do special with this isolator since this is a newer truck? From the directions it looks like I'll go from the alterntor to the one of the isolator's hot lead. Then from the 2nd isolator hot lead to a fuse/relay switch, which will then go to the second battery. Does that sound about right? Then there a…

I have an upgraded alt. to 180A (i know not much, but all I could get with my car) BIG 3 are done... 2 extra batts. in the trunk.... I wake up yesterday, and for the first time ever my battery light AND brake light are on, so I'm like wtf.... to coincidental, must be something stupid that needs to be re-set... I just went out there and tested my battery.. With car ON, it reads 12.35, car OFF 12.45....... I reved the engine with the car on and it went up like .2-.3 ANybody know what this indicates...whether it means bad battery, or bad Alt.....???? Battery is only 2 months old PLEASE HELP! what are the benefits of using ur subwoofers on a external crossover? is there any difference from using a subsonic filter. running subs @ 35hz.

i unplugged my sub yesterday and noticed that running my mids/high amps cause my lights to dimm very slightly when bass hits. when an amp draws power it is producing a spike draw on the entire vehicles system wich it is not designed for as there really is nothing else on a car that will pull such a bust draw outside of cranking. how common is it to see a slight dimming of lights on audio installs? i ask because to me it seems that with 2 large batteries and a HO alt i would expect not to see any dimming regardless of volume level. now the wiring is good and i am certain that all my grounds/contacts are properly terminated. i am looking more into this as I am planing to …

I'm finally getting around to installing the stuff I've had for over a year now. I'll be putting 2 RE 8's powered by a USX 2080. My deck is an old JVC El-Kameleon KX-something or other (the best Kameleon they had), I'll be using the deck's sub outs because I'm too cheap to buy a crossover for now, and the highs are Infinity Reference 6x8's. That was all because I know I'd get asked. Anyway, I need a wiring kit for the amp. Denim has informed me that someone on here makes and sells them on the cheap? Hook a brotha up

Here it is..... I have a Defeat ON/OFF switch. If I have the Defeat switch ON the nulls all my setting on the HU correct. I want to bea able to use my Draconia crossover points and play with my EQ on the HU. If I set my HU to Defeat OFF, and set the crossover HP crossover points lower than the settings on my amp and my LP point higher than what I'm running, can I take advantage of my crossover points on the amps and still be able to use my para EQ? Example: HU crossover is set at 20hz HP and my amp is set at 60hz, do I get the 60hz crossover point?

Hi, I am selling my 4 channels Boston amp. I can make a good deal with it, and I don't use rear speakers no more ! I need a small (in size) 2 ch amp to power my Focal 165 KP. I need about 2 * 100 watts rms or even less, and my head unit is good enough, so I don't need lots of features on the amp. The problem is the budget : I want a really cheap amp! But I want a brand new one. The Sundown 125.2 would be good, and would match the sub amp (a saz1000), but I would like it cheaper. Went out to my truck and followed the directions verbatim. Set my multimeter to read AC voltage, threw the 50hz tone up on the deck, and checked the voltage at the speaker terminals on my amp. I got nowhere near 30v, only 5.6v to start. Mind you, the gain level was at 3/4 at this point. What am I doing wrong?

I have a 2009 Ford Escape with factory sirius installed. My question is i have my Alpine CDA-9887 from my 05 escape that i'm putting in and want to know if i need anything else to get sirius through my alpine besides the KCA-SC100 Sirius Satellite Radio Plug and Play Interface.? Does the factory installed sirius unit plug into the kca-sc100? Do i have to buy anything else??

Im gonna order a ho alt for my 08 yukon but i wont have the $$ for batts till june..my stock alt craped out so i need the ho on there to run the truck. My question is if its ok to only have one battery? I wont fry it? Im buying a 300a+ alt.

I was planning on purchasing two RF P3D2 12's (600rms each) in a ported enclosure and need help on picking the right amp for them. I am stuck inbetween the RF T-1000.1 which has a posted 1000rms and the RF T-500.1 that outputs 500rms both at 2 ohms. The problems is that RF apparently under rates their amps and i've seen some "birth sheets" of both these amps going over 100rms-500rms of the posted rms on the RF website. I don't want to over power these subs or under power them too much. Any help for choosing the correct amp for these subs would be appreciated.

hi, in my last attempt to rule out installation problem i rewired my whole system again plus i added a ground run and i still having this problem: ok, if i have my eq on my headunit set on flat and turn everything off like loud and my highpass i have to have my gains all the way up to even get 20 volts coming out of it( rated for 100 rms @ 4 ohms) and also if i have my eq set to anything but flat and the gains are not all the way down the amp goes into protection mode at 3/4 volume. and i mean all the way down. like i had one just slightly up and it goes into protection mode and also it does not seem to get as loud as it did before. now i don't have an o scope or know any…

Whats up yall. Its been a while sence ive been around, but im back with another question... I got a sundown scv 4000d, got everything hooked up no problems. once i turn the key and let the power get to it, theres an audible click sound, almost a pop. Im wondering what it is. i did notice i hear the sound at the same time the blue power light comes on the amp, but i just want to be sure thats what it is. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone have a question. i have a custom built 180amp alternator that i bought online. and im looking for parts for it since the place i bought it from dont wanna help me and wanted to ask if anyone knows a place online that sells parts for alternators. i look up on google and had no luck. the part i am looking for is the adpater that bolts on the outside of the case and the power wire bolts up to.

im getting audioque 15inch alum coiled and my amp is Hifonics BXI2008D 2000-Watt Super D-Class Brutus Amp 1-Channel Mono-Block with 5.0 frad cap so i wonder what gauge wire size i should get for it?.. silver or copper? or what?
