Planet Audio AP3000D or Audiopipe 1800.1D? Specs on Planet Audio amp are higher than the Audiopipe. This is to push a 12" JL Audio w7. Any suggestions?

Gotta love em batteries.. but its time for something else any suggestions on a good under the hood battery. I've been looking at xs and optima not to impress with yellow tops.

Ok, SOOOO, I'm reallllly baffled and just plain pissed off. Last night i decided to cable tie ALL of my wires, put plastic tuding around all of them, and tie them back. (kinda clean up my wires/install real good before I make my amplifier rack.) So, that's what i was doing last night. Not installing anything...I only unhooked my subwoofer amp...nothing else, i didn't even take apart my dash or anything. That's the pre-face, here's what happened. Hello there! I have been looking for a new head unit for over a year now. Im picky tho. I want a good one (of course) double-din,am/fm, cd, usb all that stuff. Rear rca's and all, I want to be able to change the light colors. Ive spent a good bit of money matching all my interior lights and i dont want the head unit to be different. I also want a remote. Ive had good experiences with clarion in the past, but the guy at the local audio store says clarions quality has gone down a lot. Ive been looking at some jvc's, but im not sure there quality is any better now then it was a few years ago. Im trying to stay in the $200 range. Any suggestions? P.S. I dont care for flip out…

Im gonna order a ho alt for my 08 yukon but i wont have the $$ for batts till june..my stock alt craped out so i need the ho on there to run the truck. My question is if its ok to only have one battery? I wont fry it? Im buying a 300a+ alt.

Hello I am an amateur stereo guy in need of advise on setting my amp. I have the gain set to 21 volts on the front and rear of 4 channel with a 1khz test tone I have the gain set to 41 volts on the 1500d amp with a 50hz test tone Those settings were given to me by a friend My question is where to set the crossovers? the low pass/high pass filters the subsonic knob and the 2 push in buttons I currently have the front channel run on the crossover on the head unit set to 100khz with a 24 slope Rear channel is off on deck, and set on low pass on amp but not sure what the settings should be on the amp, the deck does not give me a low pass option on rear channel The sub is cur…

due to an exploded turbo i need to dig into my truck so id like to fix some wiring. i have some runs of 0ga that i would like ot not throw away but perhaps combine into one long run or do some light extension to them to route them better. how should i combine 2 sets of 0ga cable? my first thought is to but the ends together and solder them, then wrap with shrink or tape. secondly have any of you run wires in the frame rails and pulled them up into cab in back instead of running through the fire wall and under the carpet? what are your thoughts and recommendations on this method?

I just recently got a pair of DC Level 4 18's for my 2007 Suburban. Now I want to try and focus on my front stage. I'm not looking for competition SQ here, just something that will be on par with the 18's until I turn the bass knob up. I'm mostly listen to rap and R&B, but I've been known to listen to all types of music. It common for me to listen to Project Pat and then turn around a play some Hall and Oats, or Phil Collins. I think while my truck is in rebuild mode I will go ahead and upgrade or change to a newer unit. I love the alpine but want to look at something different. Looking at the deh-80prs or the avh-P8400bh. Sq wise the 80 looks like the choice but im sure I would be happy with either. Any other good dd units out there? okay i have a boss 1600 watt amp hook up to 2 10" CVT kickers, sealed box, in a 2007 Ford F-150 i know that there is a lot of forums disusing this same topic but i don't seam to understand. What should my Input Lever, bass boost, and Frequency

seems like this only does it on these amps, any other brand amps i never really noticed this...but anyways, ill have a speaker connected, and ill have the gains on 0. i gradually put the gains up, and the loudness/volume doesnt move. it gets louder only when i get to like right before 3/4 of the way up....is that normal? does this on both of my 150's and both of my 45's... i just think thats odd, like ill put the gains at 1/2, and its the same as having the gains at 0....

I wanted to find out the best location for a line driver... (here by reffered to as LD) by that I mean is there benifits of having the LD close to the HU unit? or close to the amps? for example in my truck amps sit in the rear

Hey All, I was just wondering what electrical necessities I would need. I have a 99 Honda Accord Sedan. Right now I have stock alt, Kinetik HC1800 up front and 0/1 guage wiring for my sundown 100.4. That is all currently hooked up. I was planning on hooking up my next amplifier which would be the Sundown 1500d with either a 12 or 15 FI BL. I think I am leaning towards a 12 because of space issues in the trunk. Anyways what other electrical upgrades do I need? Would I need a second battery in the rear? Would i need a new high output alternator? Or is this even necessary? Thanks for all the help

Whats up yall. Its been a while sence ive been around, but im back with another question... I got a sundown scv 4000d, got everything hooked up no problems. once i turn the key and let the power get to it, theres an audible click sound, almost a pop. Im wondering what it is. i did notice i hear the sound at the same time the blue power light comes on the amp, but i just want to be sure thats what it is. Thanks in advance!

So I have my SAX-1200D and im sure its the same with alot of amps as well. But to my question, 2 sets of RCA's and i understand both of them but they are not marked + - on either, so i dont want to disconnect the wrong ones and fry $$$ any 1 have any suggestions to which jack is + and -?

So my battery died yesterday cuz my friend left a light on in it. Its parked in my driveway which is on the main street of my town and i can't push it back anyways cuz of the snow. Would I be able to take my battery out and charge it with a friends running car? I don't see how this wouldn't work but just want to make sure before i make anything worse, gotta work tonight.

I have always seen to use a 50-60hz sine wave note when setting gains with a DMM. And this is what I did, I downloaded a 50hz and 45hz note from realmofexcursion.com and went to set my gains. The number I was aiming for was 34 volts, and I did it first with the 50hz, and reached 34 volts. But then, out of curiosity I played the 45hz tone and the output voltage went way up. Like around 45 volts. I was not expecting this jump. I always thought the voltage would be higher in the 50-60hz range?

I just installed a DC Power Engineering's 250 Amp Altenator XP on my 2010 Camaro 6.2l and the belt squeals on cold startups. My car has 6600 miles on it. I have a new belt on order and will try as soon as it comes in. The alt came with a smaller pulley on it Im wondering if I may need a shorter belt, maybe the tensioner is not tight enough with smaller pulley the Alt came with. Any suggestions? What about changing out the pulley with the stock one? Though Im sure the DC Power Alt came with a smaller pully for a reason?? Scott
