Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / Electrical

Hey guys well I want to clean up the wiring behind my head unit a little bit. I have the aswc1 for steering wheel controls, antenna adapter which has a power wire, and the remote wire from my amp. All this is tied into the head units wiring harness. Is this too much on the factory harness? Should I run some additional wires, just looking for some opinions here?

So i've been looking at upgrading head units because I am getting some new components and I have an alpine now and use it all the time with my iPod. I currently have a 9881. So I am thinking of sticking with the Alpine line-up and I was going to go with the 9887 for sure, but now I've seen the 9884 and it seems to have a lot of awesome features. Whats the big differences here? My currents needs I guess are: Imprint technology good equalizer( im not sure if parametric or graphic is better for me. My audiobahn 18001DT amp isnt getting enough power out of my car a 2000 Mazda Millenia S. The stock alternator is putting out 110 amps the amp is drawing 150 amps to put out 1800 watts to 2 12" audiobahn ultra excursion subs. I have upgraded the battery to a optima red top and have installed 2 1 farad caps. When i have the car running the amp recieves 13.5-14 volts when i have the bass turned all the way down. When i turn the bass up half way the voltage drops within 5 minutes to 11.5. I currently have 4 ga wire planning on upgrading to 0 ga to stop some of the voltage loss cause im running the wire 20 feet. should i upgrade the alternator or put more caps or a battery? a…

I plan on ordering 4 ethos 15s for a 4th order blowthrough I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on what amp I should go with I like two 3500s but I don't think ssa has them in stock and isn't they dont when will they? And I like the ct sounds 7000 but I would rather something a little cheaper any suggestions will help

i just had some weird dreams i was being bitten by blackwidow spiders on my left hand and woke up in a panic. (i'm terrified of spider). so it lead me to go to soundstreams website to look at what kind of amps they offer. i see this D tower thing looks pretty sweet. anybody have any experience with it? i found a place on ebay that sell is it for 328 each. they only problem i really see with it is you cannot lay it down. ebay D-Tower also that cant be right... can it? direct 4 awg power?!

Ok so almost 6 months ago I loaned my car to a friend and when I got it back my subwoofer was not playing. I started a thread on here asking about how to fix it and what not and I never really came to a conclusive answer. I just got a Sundown SAZ-1000D and plugged it in and went to check the output voltage of the amp and even at high volume with the gain pretty high the highest I get is 3.x AC volts. I am getting power to the amp and it turns on without the protect light or anything I checked the DC voltage at the amp, its in order. Now the one place that does not seem to be right are the RCAs. My friend is getting 2 15" RE MT's? hes getting a 3000Watt amp to add to his 1700watt amp and he wants to get 2 more batteries, but he apperently has a 15.3volt alternator?

After months of dealing with pioneers terrible customer service, one tech finally tells me that there was supposed to be a four foot usb extension capable of carrying the video signal from my iphone to the unit in the box. Unfortunately, even though ive been dealing with them since january, they wont send me one on them becuase its been over thirty days since i bought it. Anyways... I really need one longer anyways. It needs to be able to carry the signal and be at least 12 ft long. Any ideas?

Does anyone that is familiar with the Audiopipe 3000D (The one that is two 1500's strapped) familiar with what kind of current it pulls? I plan on getting one in the future, and I am trying to plan out my electrical system. I need to know what it takes to be able to back one of these suckers up. I currently have a 220amp h.o alternator, 1/0 Big 3, an Optima yellow top under the hood, and a run of 200amp fused 1/0 cable to the back.

so, im borrowing her mustang for a week, and shes using mine but shes got a few problems i wanna check to make sure before i do anything. 1. after about 2 hours, it all cuts off... im thinking cuz her amp gets too hot. its a dual 600w amp i think, and its powering the inside speakers, and her 10" xplod. should i rewire the inside speakers to her head unit? only bad thing is its a 4 channel amp i think. so, how would i get that working with just 1 10" sub? or should i leave that alone? 2. hermusic lately has just been cutting off for now reason. i THINK the fuse on the power wire from the amp is loose cuz when you wiggle it around the fuse, it works again. mabe i should r…

I have 2 t2500-1bdcp's that I would like to strap together to run 1 smd 15" subwoofer. I haven't bought the sub yet because I don't know how to wire it to 1 ohm per amp. if anyone could tell me how to strap these amps together and wire the sub that would great.

I know almost everyone here has auxiliary batteries to push their systems, but how did you wire them up? Did you run an output wire from your alternator to the primary battery, then run another run to your auxiliary(s), or did you run wiring straight from the alternator to both? Anybody using a dual-battery isolator or relay system, or is it just a waste of time and/or expense? GM originally used a parallel wiring scheme for its factory dual-battery system, I'm just wondering if that is the BEST way. I don't want to have any adverse effects on the alternator. I just want to do it right.

i had a excessive amperage 300amp alt installed and its charging but its not sending the signal the computer saying that its charging so the battery light keeps coming on, but the battery never drops below 14v's, i was told i can only use a pulley from the makers of the alt which is EA, do you know if this is true? i think the guy said i need a 1.5 or 1.75'' pulley for the alt

Anyway all i have right now is a Soundstream XTA600.2 600 Watts RMS and my Oz Audio Matrix Elite 15 and its dimming even with that. I have been looking around and i cant find that many alternators for my car i had been recommended to call ohiogen to ask? my lights have been dimming when idling especially when the air is on at the same time, i have a 1995 dodge stealth and they alternators are weak on them and i believe i even have the upgraded 140 amp ......it could be the 110 amp thought im not sure, but i was told that i couldn't go past a 140 amp that it probably cant be wound more than that.... I have a crunch powerzone 1500.1 and have a strange issues between it and my head unit. I raise the gain, and there is little to no difference throughout the range until it's about 3/4 up. However, if I raise the line level input (I play music from my phone) it increases dramatically, however my highs distort, no matter how I adjust their amp. I haven't even bothered with the bb because I've heard nothing good about it; but I don't feel right maxing my gain to get decent output. It's the same level of sound as my 150w amp without the line level adjustment and I figure 6-700w increase should sound a little louder? only asking this now, because I plan on getting a new amp …

Looking at a setup for my car inolving 2 12" l7's, Is the 1200.1 SX amp a perfect match for the two of them wired down to 1 ohm???

I'm just curious without the ac converterr, what would happen if I cut the power wire and connected it to the battery, or a 12 volt connection. Would it A. burn up the ps2 B. Not get ebough power C. work just fine. I say B

i have 2 SAZ-3000D and the slave amp keeps going into protect mode.Its only at semi hi volumes, i checked the ground and all the other connections. They seem to be fine, not sure what it could be any ideas?
