Well the title pretty much says it all. I am looking for an amplifier that pushes approximately 1500 watts at 1.5 ohms. My price limit is 400 bucks, maybe 450 if it was really worth it, but if it can be a lot lower, awesome.

Hey guys. Today I noticed a strange noise coming from the back of my Yukon. It sounded like digital fart through the woofers. So I decided to shut it down and go check things out. The first thing I noticed was that my ground wire was basically melting at the ground point. The sleeve for the ring terminal was melted along with about an inch of wire has turned the casing form clear gray to black.I have 4ga currently for the power run, amps, and ground, but plan to upgrade soon as the rest of my parts show up. There could be more wrong, but I am at work and this is the first thing I noticed. What has caused this? Was I just pulling too much current for 4ga or is it a bad gro…

I have an 86 crown vic with a kicker 300 watt amp powering an IA 187 15. When i have the volume or bass up i get some very noticable dimming from my interior and exterior lights. I think the stock alternator is only a sixty five amp. What i want to know is will this up grade help my dimming, and what exactly is it. I know its replacing wires with larger wire, but what wires should be replaced and how big should i go. I tried using the search feature but i guess its idiot proof.

I need to cross my tweets around 4k hz, mid range around 500-4000 and midbass around 50-1500 Not exactly sure on the crossover points yet, but its a rough idea of what i'd start with before I get into fine tuning it. I'm either going to use sundown SAX 100.4 for the tweets and mid range and SAX 125.2 for the midbass drivers WITHOUT AN EXTERNAL PROCESSOR, or buy cheaper amps without the crossover features and get an external processing unit with crossovers on it. Which do you guys think is a better option? any suggestions on cheaper, quality amps that lack the crossover features (maybe I'll go for 3 sax 50.4's and bridge each of them ) Any suggestions on a budget processo…

I am going to start installing my system next week and I am going to add a 2400 amp kinetik battery in the cab of my truck. I have seen some people say that all I need to do to hook up the 2 batteries is run 0 gauge wire with a fuse connecting them. But I have also seen people say when you run 2 batteries you need to wire in a relay or isolator between the 2 batteries. What do most of you run? Specs: Stock Alt. Optima Red Top for the started battery 2400 amp kinetik battery 0 gauge wire Audioque 2200 watt amp 2 Fi Q15's Kenwood 140 4ch. amp -Alex

Two questions 1) Does the AQ2200 have a regulated power supply? 2) Would the AQ2200 be able to run 2 FI Q 15's with BP power, or would that be too much power for the subs? Thanks

Got my spare change right and I'm getting ready to get my DC alternator its a 250 Amp large case "hybrid" that does 140 amp at idle. Is this enough with one D2400 under hood (in car now) & a second one (needs to be purchased) in the trunk to give my 3000d the current it needs?

I,m looking at the saz 1500 or 2000 . but my cousin say s i would need electrical up grades with the 2000 and not the 1500. on another forum i read even the 1500 needs electrical upgrades. is this true and if so would it be major? Also i want to run one deep and loud 15 ported , I like hdc3 but aluminum coils need too much power. any other suggestions?

  16. metal sleeve will probably work from lots of pioneers but im not sure, and have no idea about cross compatability with the trim ring, but its probably the same throughout the line. just opened the box with my deck inside it and it didnt have these items. and before I bid I asked this motherpucker if they were included, and he replied and said yes they were. BUT obviously they werent. I emailed him to see if he just forgot to ship them, but who the hell knows, and just in case I can get my hands on the parts cheap, Id like to keep the deck, if not and he doesnt have them I guess its time for another paypal dispute.....

Copied from earlier post below by Shizzzon. quick answer- A cap will discharge EVERYTHING in it's bank when a rush of current is requested... A battery will compensate for the current requested when the alternator can't or the regulator doesn't react fast enough. If you could.. try and imagine your battery going completely dead then back to recharging every other few seconds?!?! You can't imagine that at all.. So, you got your alt, a big battery bank and a big ass cap- The cap will ALWAYS be getting drained and recharged all the time... What's recharging it? The alternator... When it's doing that, it's providing less power to the audio system which results in more voltage…

I have taken it apart and hit it with compressed air and checked, Ramos and I did not see anything showing wear.....any ideas?

alright, I have 4 guage wiring right now, not installed. and there is some 1/0 on here I was considering buying, but if I dont need it then why spend more money. I am going to do the big 3 in 4 gauge, there will be a run of probably 8+ feet to a D block under my seat where a 4ch amp will sit. it will enter a D block, and leave as 8 gauge to the 2ch. another run of 4 will leave the D block and make a trip of about 6+ feet to the sub amp behind the rear seat. I am going to set the gain on the sub amp at 800 watts, and not sure whats happening with the front stage, but worst case scenario - rear channels will be 100x2 and fronts 75x2. so Ill be pushing 1150 watts at the mos…

Am running 2 FI 15 inch Q's with BP power on an AQ 2000 watt amp in a 2000 dodge dakota. I upgraded to a high output alternator (230 max output, i had it tested), and i have already completed the big 3 with 1/0 gauge wire. I am presently using a 850 CCA battery in the hood and have no space for a battery inside the truck. I am currently experiencing diming and since am not interested in using a Cap, i was woundering if i took out that battery and replace it with a kinetik 2000 or 2400 watts battery, would that solve the problem? Thanks
