I've decided that I would like to put two 10" dcons in my car this spring. Im trying to find an amp that will power them well without spending tons of money. I came across this MB Quart REF 800.1 for $135. Its stable down to 1 ohm and is cea complient. Is this too good to be true? I hear people hate on maxxsonics but it has all the features im looking for. Howzit guys, Anyone have suggestions for a decently priced amp that does around 800watts at 2ohms? Its gonna be powering a single skar vvx-10 in a 1.5ft^3 ported box tuned around 32hz

Kinda in a jam here guys. My Clarion HU has took a shit on me. I cant turn my volume up to test before it blinks, cuts off, and shuts everything down. After it resets it come right back on and it plays fine at a moderate to a quite loud level, but it's cutting off on me before I can get it to full volume. I need some opinions on a new one. What I want is a Pioneer 880PRS, but I don't have time to wait around on a used one to show up. I need one now even if that means finding one that does what I need and keeping my eyes peeled for something better. I never got around to finishing the system in the last truck but this one will be different, dammit. Anyway... New truck is an F-150 Supercrew. The H/U is already installed, Kenwood DNX-8120. It has some limited processing capability but I doubt that I'll use much of it. I have an Altomobile Drive 30 for processing the front stage, I'll replace it with a MS-8 if I decide that it isn't getting the job done from a noise perspective. I am looking for a new head unit for my friend who doesn't have much experience with audio. He has an 01 Dodge Ram Regular Cab...bone stock audio system. He has a budget of about $250. He is planning on eventually putting new speakers as well as maybe a 10 ported if he can fit it. Anyways...I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-P9400BH as it has 4V RCA Preouts and all the goodies like HD Radio Tuner, Bluetooth, Pandora etc...but anyways I thought I would get some advice from other more experienced people...any suggestions?

Alright guys, I'm looking for a good In-Dash 7" TFT-LCD Touchscreen, Single Din. I'm looking for something that has a responsive touch screen, looks good, has Iphone 3gs support, Aux inputs are always nice, Navigation is not needed as for Multimedia options i would like the ability to play DivX files, DVD's, and DVD Music C.D.s . I would like the ability to run 2 way active, then in the future to run 3 way active, So it must have Subwoofer + Rear+ Front outputs. My budget is around 400 probably no more than 425, I'm open to all brands, so Pioneer, Alpine, Clairion, etc would be all acceptiable.

Hello there, my name is Mark. I Would like some input on best options for continuing to improve my electrical system. I am not satisfied with the way things are performing now. Seems like my voltage is very inconsistent and that there is way too much draw at higher volumes. No I have not hooked a volt meter up to see what the voltage has been. Sorry, the topic may be a little vague. I've recently found myself researching amplifiers as I may be replacing my zapco c2k 9.0xd amp shortly. I have 2 12" dvc subs with 1ohm per coil, and they handle 1800wRMS/ea. they're situated in a 4.2cu/ft box tuned to 30hz. The zapco puts out around 2200wRMS and I was looking for something a little closer to the subs rated input or over. So I've been working on a spreadsheet to compare different amps to try and discern a value. I have a nendo BC2K that got a small amount of water in it,popped 2 transistors/mosfets.I'm having a hard time cross referencing the fets.I dont know if I have the P channel or the N channel fets,digikey pulls all sorts up.part number is IRF 3205.I'm grateful for any help.

i was gonna put this in the for sale/wanted section but i didnt know how well that would go over with mods. so im looking to upgrade to a good headunit. i just traded the pioneer i had it wasnt anything special just plain jane with sub outputs. im wanting one with a motorized face and graphics. i dont really care if it has usb or aux in as i dont ever use them. i used to have a deh-p680mp that i absolutely loved. im not really interested in the newest "look" unless its the style with the bigger volume knob like a 6000ub. im also open to a possible kenwood or jvc arsenal if it looks good and the price is right so if anyone has any head units collecting dust let me know…

Alright, well I finally had time to run the wires and hook up the AQ2200D i bought and hooked up the Volt meter also. When i First started my truck it was at 14.1V(If i remember correctly). that was with no sub hooked up just the amp, along with a boss rev-665. after having the truck run for about 5 minutes it dropped down to 13.8. I still need to do the big 3(i know i should have this done already ), and Im saving up for a XS D2400 for my main battery. What else would i need to keep a stable voltage around 14.4 or higher. I know I should get a HO alt but I just dont have the money to drop on one at the moment. What would yall suggest for me? Thanks! Alex

Alpine 9811 Kicker 550.3 ED 6000 Had this set up for bout 3 years now no probs but over the last month when i listen to it at 28 and above the treble get all muffled and u cant hear the highs. When i turn it down to say 20-24 for a min or so the treble returns and all is normal. this happen no matter what source i use Ipod/CD/Tuner and it is hap more freq. Is it the HU/Amp/Mid&high??? or RCA cables???
