Hello, I have about 1200 watts rms of power (1 sub and 2 speakers) in my car : one saz 1000 and (soon) an sax 50.4 bridged to my comp set. My power and ground are 0 gauge. I will very soon do the big 3 with all 0 ga. I would like to have more electrical power, in order to have maybe a 1500 or a 2000 watts amp for a next sub. What would be better ? Add a second battery in the trunk ? XS or Kinetic, like the small one they make for Honda civic. Or just replace the battery under the hood with a bigger one? always XS or Kinetic. I have 2 Massive Audio D3000.1's right now with the gain turned up about half way. I put a recommended 100amp fuse in the holder... today i got in the car, turned on the stereo and one amp didn't turn on. I checked all the wiring, everything is fine...checked the fuse, fuse was fine. The amp doesnt turn on at all, doesnt go into protect, nothing. I used a multi meter to check the voltage, the remote wire was reading 12v but the power wire is reading 0.03v what happened?? :S

i was looking for some good batts to match up with a audiopipe 3000 and a 200 amp alt. i was checkin out the kinetiks on ebay they seem to be good for the price. im not to sure about some other brands out there really just kinetik and xs power is all i know of . i am on a budget as i only make min wage. 200-280 is all i want to spend on batteries

Hey everybody! I've narrowed down which subs I want thanks to the help from members of the board, so thank you to those people! I will be running 2 15" AA Mayhems. Now for the amp(s), I would like to run 1 amp as opposed to 2. I was refered by one of my friends to check out the Cadence ZRS-C6...any input on this amp? A friend of mine owns a shop and they those amps run for around $1599 (Canadian). He also told me about the Earthquake PH10000D which retails for $1299 (Canadian). Any input on this amp? Also, if there are any other amps I should keep in mind around the 5000-6000wrms @ 1 ohm range, please inlighten me! Thanks, Andrew

hi guys, i know alot has been ask about this 2 HU's, more often discussed on, "it looks fugly", "it has better tuning capabilities", "it has this pico fuse prob" and many more... frankly now i know i cant get the best HU i want due to cost so i have to get the best i can do with my current budget... So my kenwood kdc deck is acting up and I feel like I don't know where to start.. Ok so the other day my head unit would just randomly turn off and then back and on and back off again. It would work for the most part then yesterday I was stopped at the bank and it shut off and didn't come back on.. So tonight I re-did some of the wiring behind the head unit but still nothing. I'm thinking its either a bad ground or a loose wire somewhere.. It will come on for a good 5-10 seconds and then I move it and it shuts off. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have an aftermarket Pioneer HU (AVIC F900BT) and it has a sub control level (from 0 to 6) and bass boost (0 to 6). Would having a bass knob make any difference or is it the same thing as the bass boost on the HU?

Lately my 1000/1 amp has been cutting out while playing loud music. right after it cuts out it starts back up in a few seconds. I looked at the amp while it shuts down and its giving the thermal protect light. for the last week it has been cutting off more and more often. Troubleshooting steps must be taken to determine what is causing the problem. It is one of 3 things.... 1. Impedence under rated value or Thermal Protection. 2. Short to ground in wiring. 3. Internal Component Failure. One of the more confusing things with a car stereo can be when the amplifier goes into protection mode. One minute it's working and the next minute it's not. I am going to be running 4 saz1500 amps. My question is if I were to have the rca's signal go into the input of one amp and then use the outputs on that amp to connect it to the next amps' inputs and I do this for all 4 amps like a chain will there be a noticeable amount of signal delay? Would I be better off getting some form of rca block that has 4 outputs and run each output to it's own amp?

I tried to set the gains on some amps with a DMM and a test tone cd but I could not read the good values on the DMM. One of the Amps is an sax 1000 Sundown at 1 ohm : so I should read sqr(1000 x 1) = more than 30 volts. I don't remember the right number, but I had the good number when doing it. the maximum I read was 21.7 volts, withe knob to the max! What may be the problem? How can I do the good settings? The DMM is brand new, maybe it is a bad one. Hope not! So, I had to set it by ears. Help me, please!

Does the epicenter help increase you spl or does it just act like a bass boost where it will just cause the amp to clip. Would it be a good idea to buy one if I mainly use an ipod?

so my friend traded some stuff and got a sealed 10" menphis sub and a jensin amp. before he traded it i had the guy install it in his car to mak sure everything worked, which it all did and sounded fine. so he traded and after running wires in my friends car and plugged everything in the power light turns on, but when tested with my DMM there is no output in the speaker terminals... here is a googled page i found on the amp... could the rca's be bad? im pretty sure they are wired right deck is an alpine CDE-102 need any other info just ask... im lost haha

i have a popping sound though my sub when i turn off my radio or when i change a track, turn it on mute it will do it when i step on the gas , i first had 2 w6( old school 12s) and a directed 600d amp it never did it when i had that set up, but when i put this one in it started doing it after i played it cupble of times, so what could be the reason.
