First of all i'm thinking of running 2 audio que 18s (HDC318) on 2000w rms a piece, is this possible? If it is possible, would i only need 1 ho alt and how many amps? 300? lastly, should i switch my stock battery with something different AND throw one in the trunk or what would you suggest? Thanks.

To push 4 1508's? I can run 2 1508's @ 2ohms to each 1211a (1200w), or I can run all 4 @ 1ohm to the AQ2200 (?). As for my electrical, I have 2 redtops, 200amp alt, big 3, & 0awg. What's going to be the all around better setup?

So i already want more power. how well would a hifonics brutus bxi2008d on .5 ohms? ill be running two. alt will be a second 220 on top of my stock alt, plus one batt up front and another by the amps. maybe two by the amps. has anyone had experience with them? i cant even get mine warm at 1 ohm right now... just kicking around ideas, as this would be my cheapest way to get around 4-5k rms. otherwise i gotta buy a big amp and thats lots of money. i want s Sundown 4500 but im just dreaming there. i can afford what im proposing... thinking about sayin screw it an getting the amp this week and trying it... lol. although i really should get the batt/alt power first... anywa…

I lost my license for 12months er, speed racer me. Any how i have... IVA-W200... 500/1 jl amp.. wiring... subs (i can uninstall those) my question is this with the deck cant i just take off the dash, take out the fixture and unhook the harness and im done? or what am i missing with the amp and wiring just un hook it from the battery and remove right? I just dont want to damage anything please guide me.

So my friend has a 2001 camaro z28 And he doing a wall build With to HDC418-D1( about to order) And running 3 group 31 batts and a group 34 x power under the hood With a mechman 320 alt( do not have yet) Box will be tune low in the 28-32( will be talking to Alton about that) So we came across 2 good deals to stay in budget on the amp both are around same price Crescendo bc 5500. Or dc 5k both are used....I google each and read up on some stuff but We still looking for more outside input I do not want any other amp choices...it was hard already talking him in to walling off is car...

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion with a 2.2L Ecotech Engine with a stock 105A alternator, im trying to upgrade my big three but im running into obstacles so im coming here for some creative input. Yesterday I pulled the box out my trunk and finally took the spare out since its pointless in being under there and got to my starting battery (located in trunk where Saturn puts them). I completed the Big 1 so far using Kicker 1/0 Gauge ground wire and my voltage is outstanding so far when I idle I dont stay 14.0v to 14.1v (use to be 13.7v to 13.8v) when I crank my car im at 14.3v to 14.4v (use to be 14.0v to 14.1v in this Texas Summer Heat we been in the 100's last few days) and when …

Ok I got to thinking the other day about the way I wired my sub to my amp. I am sure this has been discussed before. But I have been unable to locate the answer. If it has I appologize now. The sub is an Alpine SWR-1222D and the amp is a MB Quart Discus 1000.1 Monoblock. The way I have it wired now is in parallel to 1Ohm with one set of wires to the amp on the outer positive and outer negative terminals. According to the manual that is for single svc sub. Is that way ok or should I physically wire each coil straight to the amp. As the amp automatically parallels both sets of terminals which would make this a 1Ohm load as well. Got 320 amp mechman now need advice on wiring and what type of lithium battery setup to get, wanting to run about 4-5k RMS total and hold voltage. I've read that I should run a regular lead battery with a lithium, never done a lithium setup before and need advice, all help appreciated really excited about this build!

Is this ok or a no-no? I just added 4 gauge wire in addition to the factory wire(wired it to the same spot and sanded paint off the ground) and replaced the factory battery terminal blocks with stinger ones.

How much stronger would the 2 aq2200d @ 1 ohm strapped be compare to 1 aq3500d old one @ 1 ohm on 2 dd3512? Running a 180 amp alternator with 2 kinetik 2400 and 1 kinetik 1400 in the back. Would this even be enough to run the 2 aq2200d? This would be a daily driver.

Well, here is the deal: Ikesound is out of DEI 1100D5's, so when I returned mine because it wouldn't power up, they said that I can have store credit (haha), so I emailed them back and told them I want a refund. I am probably going to go with a pair of the US Amps IS series amps (IS 2200 and IS 4065). I will be splitting up the crossover on my 3 way rainbows to run the midrange and tweeter off of 2 channels and the midbass off of the other 2 channels of my amp. I have 2 long runs of rca's and 4 short pairs for what I previously planned on doing, so that is a factor. I also heard that it is bad for sq to have multiple processing devices, so that is why I am kind of wear…

So to get any decent volume out of my new sub, i have to have the gain on my new amp really high.....too high and the bass boost up pretty far too. I know the RCAs arent the best, and its a sony HU.....but still, any ideas?

I checked my battery, nothing is touching + and - I checked the amp, the power wire and ground fit nice and snug with no loose strands The amp worked last night......all i did was unhook wires, move it to the trunk and hook the wires back up....I'm at a loss The only thing i can think of is its somehow shorted in the amp, but i didn't shake, tip, etc. since last night...i don't think the power wire is cut since i turned the car on and the fuse in the engine bay is fine. I have an AQ1200D and two SDC2.5 subs by the way.

I currently am running 2 amps, 1 for comps and 1 for sub. It totals 1300rms. So, I would need about a 130a fuse as a estimate, correct? I'm gonna upgrade the big 3 and get a HO alt. I don't really know jack about amps and all that. My question is, can somebody help me figure out what size alt to get? Would a 200a be sufficient? I drive a 97 Exploder 6cyl and I think the stock alt is 95a. Any help is greatly appreciated

I just got an amp Its a crossfire 360 that got in trade. I tried to hook it up and one channel is real low and the other is clear when I play music thru it. Ok lets get down to the nitty gritty What I want to know is 1) Might it be blown? 2) The entire amp Blown or just that channel? 3) Is it safe to run the amp like that ? 4) I have looked and looked and I cannot find a PDF file for this amp, can someone help ? I think Thas It if you guys need any more info Feel free to ask and I will post as much information as I know and I can see on this problem. Thanks again and I have to say this is a Great Site.
