Has anybody had this head unit? I can't seem to find out how to set the bass, treble, mids, ect. It has presets but that's it.. Can anyone help me out?

Just getting ideas for the next system. I want two 15's max depth of box is 26" and max width is 34-36". Height can vary. I am thinking of icons (I want my next subs to be from ssa) And am just trying to find good amplifier options. I would like something less expensive than the 2000D, but if it comes to it, that is just what i will get. Any good amplifiers that will put 2000wrms out at one or two ohms?

Would i need a new battery and alternator to run 1500 watts...i have a rockfor fosgate 250.2 and have it bridged to 2 ohms i'm aware that i'm not suppose to do that but not too concerned about the amp i just need something to push the 10's behind my seat...but i am wanting to run a 1000 watt 1 channel amp to power a 15" Fi Q...please help

ok i really hate to ask this, but how are you able to tell when your amp starts to "clip"? And what exactly does it mean?

for some reason the amp for my subs is getting incredibly hot . I dont understand why though as the gains were set correctly and no bass boost has been engaged. I found out that the plexi glass that i had placed over the amp was making things worse so i took that off ... it is still getting pretty hot however ... i do not know if it is getting adiquate cooling as it is under a false floor but because i took the plexi off it over 3/4s of the amp is revealed ... my 4 channel amp seems to stay cool but the mono is getting hot ... they are both power series amps (t8004 and t40001bd) ... what is the remedy and is there any ways to keep the amp cool?

can i ground my amp to another ground in the trunk? ill have a picture in a moment when i figure out how.

well today was the first time i've ever heard about stetson amps. i looked at there site and i will say that have a lot of amps with a lot of power. i was looking at the digital amps. are there rms ratings good? accurate or over rated? under rated? has anyone heard one?

Hey guys I'm kind of new to building and wiring (I've done a couple of installs but I still like to learn). My question is what type of electrical system I should go with. I'm aiming to have TWO Sundown SAZ-1500D's and TWO RE-SX 12's. My question is what type of battery setup I should need to upgrade to. I've been looking at running an Optima Yellow Top D75/25 battery up front and an Optima Yellow Top D34/78 in the back. I don't have much info on some of the other brands to run like XS Power, BatCap, or Kinetik. Any info is much appreciated. I've been following the site for some time now and really like everything I've seen (the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe build is sick).

anyone have an older crome version that is rated to do 1200wrms @ 1ohm. how was it could it handle .5ohm burps? underratted or overrated

I need an amp for my 15 Icon.It is in a (about)4ft3 ported enclosure.(wired @ 4 Ohms now, but it can change). I am thinking about a Sundown 1000 or 1500, or a Clarion DPX 11500. I did not find a lot of informations about the Clarion, and everybody here loves Sundown. I will probably upgrade to a 15" or 12" Xcon, so I should look for a 1500 watts rms amplifier. What do you guys think? I would like to play at 2 Ohms with the future sub, and at 4 ohms now : so the Clarion looks like the good choice. It seems like very few people have it here. Why? How do most HUs hold up under high voltage, say 16V?

So i have a sundown 1200D and i did the Big 3 but thats all... besides that everything is stock. Then recently my sub would randomly stop playing, especially at higher volumes. At first i thought it was my headunit because i could get it to play if i pushed a certain way, well sometimes haha. Then i took it to where i got everything installed and they ran a "diagnostics test" and they said they couldnt find anything except maybe that it was too much power for my stock electrical and that ive fvcked up my amp. Well i cant find the papers to my order with the amp so idk what to do there.... but besides that, the guy told me if i had a capacitor that what happened wouldnt ha…

does anyone have a solution to getting speaker wire through the door "boot" or what ever it's called? i tried for hours and i cant even get it half of the way through!!

when tuning an amp without the bass boost on you tune it right before the amp starts to clip ... so if you increase the bass boost wont it make the amp clip or am i missing something?

So my amp has been acting up since the day I got it.(Diablo Audio Technologies HellFire 1000.1) The problem is that it plays for a few minutes after I turn on the truck and goes into "Alarm Mode". (If I restart the truck it will come back on for a few minutes as if it had a clock inside telling the amp to only turn on for a few minutes(3 or 5 min.)) At first the ground was a little loose so I tightened it. It still kept on doing it so I bought some Sandpaper to make a nice, clean ground and it still does it. Can someone help me? P.S.- As I've mentioned before I did a direct swap with my MTX amp. In fact, the only thing I changed was the ground which is alot better now. H…

hey guys. i need some input on what kinetic battery to use in the trunk. i have a stock alternator and my setup will be pushing around 2500watts. i plan on using a yellowtop up front. so my question is how many watts should my kinetic in the trunk be? the power cell calculator on the site says i should use (2) 1400watt power cells. which will be costly to me. any cheaper solutions? do i really need that much? input please and thank you.

I am ordering 2 RE XXX 6.5c sets. And am planning to use the sundown amp to power it all. Do I use the front or rear rca output on my deck to the amp. One component set in my front doors one in my rear doors. Or does it matter since I will be using the x-over network provided with the comp set.

hey firstly im new here so hello everyone as the title states i have a problem firstly my set up 0guage from batt to 80a fuse to 10a fuse to head unit and a 2guage to a distro block powering 3 amps (through 4 guage wire) 1 4 channel and 2 2 channels then 4 guage to another distro then 2guage to a hole that used to house a clip for the trim in the side of the boot (metal is thin, maybe this is the problem?). the remote from the HU goes into a 2 channel then piggybacks from there to the other 2 amps. I'm planning to upgrade my electrical. My battery is in the back of the car (Magnum). Couldn't I just run new wire from the alt to a pair of separate batteries? Rather than wire all three together? I'd be running a pair of 105 AH marine deep cycle batts, dry cells, separate from a regular dry cell car battery. I've never seen it done, although i'm sure it has been. Thanks.

ok noob here and i was thinking i should get a yellow top under the hood, do the big 3, and get a kinetic hc2000. now my question is do i neeed the second batt? i heard that a second batt isnt neccesary if you wont play music with your car off. the yellow top under the hood and big 3 are going to be done for sure though. oh and one more question how many ft of 1/0 wire would i need to do the big 3. i have a 00' honda accord coupe. alternator will be done soon need help on that too but dont want to spend more than 400 on one?
