My friend has a 2004 Kicker L7 8. He needs an amp for it. It is DVC 4 ohm. He wants to put around 750-1000 watts on it. He also doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I have tried to find a good amp for that price, but its hard to get full power with that vc configuration.

So I installed my 4 AA Carbon fibers and my SAX-100.4 just now and when i turn my truck off a "POP" comes from the speakers, i only turned my truck off twice so i only heard it twice and i think its coming from 2 speakers. How do i get it to stop thanks guys.

When I finally realized what the issue was... I spent lots of time, made numerous threads, vids, and posts, even sold my old subs and got different ones....I called AP. After attending my first bass off in VA last weekend the bug has bitten. Car will be paid off this summer so it's time to start thinking about uprades. I'm not looking to dominate competitions, but I do wanna get way louder. Right now I'm thinking 2-3k would be good for me. Being that I'm running a 5 channel now I know I'll be adding a second amp for the highs. At this point, will an extra battery in back be enough, or do I need to start looking at HO alts? Would it be better to install a kinetik HC 1400 and replace my original battery or could i just add a smaller kinetik like the HC 600 and have my original battery and the kenetik. im on a budget and it would be a lesser dent in my pockets if i had the smaller kinetik also will my stock alternator be able to handle either one. or do i have to upgrade that too? im getting the hifonics brz1700.1d amp and i dont want any voltage drops, cause it already drops with a sony xplod amp

Just out of curiousity, for those that are running batteries in the trunk, how many are running them without some kind of isolator? Are you seeing any issues? For those that are running an isolator, what are you running and where can you find them? What kind would you recommend, if any? I am thinking of running a Yellow Top in the trunk, or possibly a Kinetik. If I went with Kinetik, which battery do you recommend (besides the 2400 which I think would be a little extreme for a daily driver, but maybe not)? Thanks in advance.

Anybody have any suggestions, pros or cons about this? I have a nice JVC (forget the model#) that has a bad a@@ equalizer and five volt preouts, and basicly everything I want in a headunit. I've done a lot of research on here and in general about line drivers, some people swear by them and some say they are a waste of money. Anyways I came across an Audio Control video that explained the said line driver and they were saying that like power wire rca's tend to lose a little power with longer runs and could possibly pick up noise and such. I couldn't decide for the longest time and now i've finally decided. And i'm going with AVIC-D3. I bought it today now its just a matter of time until i get it in. Hopefully tomorrow. I was bored so figured i'd post. Feel free to tell me what u think about it.

Hello everyone I have a little problem. I just installed another kinetik hc 2400 in my 03 yukon. I am currently running 1 red top under the hood and 2 kinetik hc 1400 and 2 kinetik hc 2400. I'm pushing 2 18's tc sound ultra lms and a ia40. I am waiting for my second one to come. I charged the 5 month old 2400 and one of the 1400. After installing all the batteries and driving for 20 minutes my engine light came on. What's the problem. I tryed removing the connections for 5 mins to reset the computer, but that didn't work. Anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

Hey, I was running wires etc today and I decided to just make sure everything worked alright before I got my box built. So the amp turns on and appears to be fine (it isnt in protect mode) but the subs only hiss. It seems like they are moving a little bit but I dont hear any sound except for white noise. My rca's probably arent the best *rockford fosgates* but they should work and for the ground I sanded a patch in the trunk and screwed it down. The amps manual says that white noise is caused by the amps settings but I turned them all in different ways and still nothing. btw I have a hifonics brutus 1606d and 2 12" soundsplinter rlps and a pioneer premier 6700 any ideas?

So i bought 2 15" fi btl's off a friend and i was wondering if a rf t2500bdcp amp would be ok for both subs at .5ohms? I dont compete and i play mostly spanish music...my electrical consist of a 270a alt and 3 xs3200 batts...all 0/2 gauge wire...

I was fooling around with my amp today, turning up the gain gradually, and I was getting excited, sub was pounding a lot harder, and it didnt sound like it was getting any muddier or sound like it was clipping. But then i noticed that once i disconnected the sub and played a tone, the amplifier itself was making a buzzing noise. So i turned back the gain and it went away. I was wondering if this was some kind of built in clipping detector or something along those lines? Have you guys ever encountered something like this? Any info would be great, thanks guys.

looking to put two more subs in my auto. currently i'm running each sub to a Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w. i'm looking to only be running 2 subs total on all 4 subs.... what do you recommend?

Would i need a new battery and alternator to run 1500 watts...i have a rockfor fosgate 250.2 and have it bridged to 2 ohms i'm aware that i'm not suppose to do that but not too concerned about the amp i just need something to push the 10's behind my seat...but i am wanting to run a 1000 watt 1 channel amp to power a 15" Fi Q...please help

could i go wire straight from the alternator to the battery in the rear? the alt would also still be wired to the front battery as well. the car im installing is an 2000 honda accord. would i need to fuse after the alternator and before the batery in the rear? in my head this would work but ive never done it this way before...

I'm looking to get a new head unit that will stream audio from my Droid to the unit. 2 Questions... 1. What are the sound quality limitations of Bluetooth transfer. 2. What are my options for the best head units available that offer streaming audio. Goals: I want better audio quality than the crappy headphone out and preferably the least amount of filtering to the signal (I have an H701 to handle processing needs) It would be awesome if the unit featured a digital out for connection to my H701, though it's not necessary. I have an upgraded alt. to 180A (i know not much, but all I could get with my car) BIG 3 are done... 2 extra batts. in the trunk.... I wake up yesterday, and for the first time ever my battery light AND brake light are on, so I'm like wtf.... to coincidental, must be something stupid that needs to be re-set... I just went out there and tested my battery.. With car ON, it reads 12.35, car OFF 12.45....... I reved the engine with the car on and it went up like .2-.3 ANybody know what this indicates...whether it means bad battery, or bad Alt.....???? Battery is only 2 months old PLEASE HELP! i took my equipment out of my car to diagnose a problem. while it was out it was stolen. so now i am stuck with factory power. the problem now though is, the factory system had some issues when i bought it. at a little over half volume the sound from the tweeters cuts out when there is a louder sound.. like a yell or.. scream. or just louder singing. head unit? or amp. 03 z4 by the way

Tracy, I saw some info in here the other day about the newer amp lines. I was hoping for a refresher and also wondering along the lines of AB power... 750X2 @ 1 or 4 Ohms or so, maybe 1500 @ 2Ohms. Basically I mant alot of controll, like one of the new lines seemed to offer. I am going to be powering 2 Brahmas (I needed a little more umph ). I am hoping to keep them in a foot each so power needs to be about 750-1100 or so per driver. I like the Cadence Z1500, or a pair of Z9000s. I am even kicking DEI around (2400D) but it is a D amp. I really want an AB. Also I was wondering if you might hit me some rough prices up. Thanks Bud, Seth
