What type of amp should i get to run two skar audio vvx 12" dual 2ohm vc. I'm thinking two Hifonics hf 2000d's one on each sub. My limit it $500 for a good quality amp that does either 3000+ watts at 1ohm or .5ohm. I want .5ohms stable

hey guys a have jbl gto1200 amp going out at 1117 watts rms at 2ohm into a dual 1ohm fi bl 18in my amp doesnt come with a subsonic filter and the sub will be in a ported box tuned to 32 hertz will a fmod at 30 hertz be good?

what amp would be best matched with a 15" SSD w/ the bp option? orion 1200d RF t1001bd Sundown sae-1000 I can get the orion and rf for about 200 locally and I am waiting for the email back for the sundown. What would you guys choose? thanks for any input -Ryan

Hey there. I have a 1998 Jeep Wrangler Sahara edition and i have absolutely no bass in my car. I'm leaning towards a downfiring sealed enclosure with two 10" Alpine Type R 1023D. They peak at 1800watts and 600watts RMS. The sealed enclosure provides them with 0.85 cubic feet of air space per sub. What amplifier can really make these subs sound crisp, clean, and provide deep full bass? Hifonics? Kicker? JL audio? Any thoughts on the amp or the set up in general would be greatly appreciated. hey yall, i just wanted to get your opinions on the volt meter i have. i actually bought this Autometer voltage gauage quite a few months ago for around 60$ (msrp 120$) and um i thinking should i get that install for my system? or should i get a digital one since this one is a gauge and it doesnt tell u the EXACT voltage.. and if the digital one.. which one should i buy? no one near me seems to be selling it less then 100$... thanks!!

I currently have a rockford 1500.1 amplifier, 2 12" fi q's a power acoustik 5 farad capacitor and a stinger sp 680 car audio battery. I have been having problems with the amplifier and am not sure what it is thats wrong or what I can try next or if the amp is possibly deffective. the amp is currently turned up a little less than half way and when I put the base all the way up on the head unit and turn the volume up about 3/4 the way up the amp will shut off. The red light does not come on to put the amp into protection or anything just the amp turns off than back on a few seconds later. I have upgraded the big 3 with 4 gauge wire and ran 0 gauge wire from the battery back…

was connecting my UV neon , with the cig lighter in my car , suddenly it smoked up , n smelled like burned plastic, suddenly it went off, and when i touched it it was very hot... any idea , why did that happen ?? pluse the neon wasnt underbody or anything , it was inside the cabin, n no water or any liquid can reach it .. thnx for any helpful ideas

Whats the best double din headunit out there with the most features for under $850

i'm installing an indash into an old explorer. heres the problem..... we wired everything up right, used the same wiring harness that was in the truck. no fuses blown or anything. indash turns on.... but we got no sound. took off the indash harness and tried battery poppin speakers... still no sound. tried hard wiring it so the truck harness and still no sound.... my guess is that the truck harness is bad and that we need to hard wire all the speakers....

So for about the past week or two, my speakers keep cutting out. I've tried to find a pattern in their behavior but it APPEARS random. Sometimes they will play for a few songs and then cut in and out in 10 second increments, sometimes they will cut out for 5-10 minutes straight. I thought they might just be over heating (it has been really hot here in Md and the amps are mounted behind the seat) but the amp's thermal warning has not been going off. What's also strange is the sub continues to hit flawlessly. I've walked around with a volt meter and do not see any issues from battery to amp. looking to put two more subs in my auto. currently i'm running each sub to a Pheonix Gold Ryval 1000w. i'm looking to only be running 2 subs total on all 4 subs.... what do you recommend?

What's up everyone! I am starting to learn more and more about systems and tuning them correctly. I have a mtx 421d am with a 8inch American bass sub, I need some help on how to tune the amp and what songs you guys recommend. It hits hard with low bass music but with bands or other k8nda bass it doesn't hit right or it won t hit.

hi, i had to change my plans and have to go with a more budget friendly set up around 300 for the front stage amp . ok right now i have a sundown sax100.4D that i love. but the problem is it is too long i need 3 inches of it to be cut off for it to be true love. so i am i going to have to sell it. and i was looking at small class d amps. and i saw the kenwood xr 4s. for roughly 300 it is rated for 120 rms at 4 ohms and can do active. and on diyma it seems to have gotten good reviews and i do like the fact that it has a fan.. but i never have ran kenwood before . and the only other options i can see for me is getting 2 2 channels amps and stacking them since i want atlea…

Hello, I just purchased a Diamond Audio D7152 two channel amp. I plan to use it for my front stage which would be the Hex S600s components. The rear fills will be raw midbase drivers from DA's D661 series and they'll be hooked up via Diamond's RAF feature. I'm not sure I want to keep this amp because after getting myself more acquainted with it, it's way too high end for me. It' got more tweaking features than my home theater. I really should have gotten something simpler especially since I only listening to music to and from work. Ok I don't usually like to ask these type of versus questions but I've narrowed my replacement amp (for my blown RE35.1D) to these last 3(I needed a 1500 watt amp that is <18" in length and these were the only few i could find): -RF BD1500-1, the new model -Sundown SAZ-1500D -USAmps md2d The Sundown is the largest and the hardest to put on my amp rack but it's also the cheapest and from all the opinions I've seen a very nice choice. The USAmps is tempting though the most expensive choice. The RF is just tiny nd woud make installs easier.
