im looking into adding lights under my dash and posibly around my sub/amp in the future. i remmeber seeing somewhere on here that u can buy an adapter/distributor/divider that you would hook one end up to power (bus bar, distibution block ect.) and from there it divides into say 10 different slots that you could connect small gauge wires too and fuse them. anybody have any idea what im talking about/any idea where i could get my hands on one?

Right now I'm running 4g cable from battery to my amp. I'm getting ready to do the big 3 with 1/0 cable, but my amp terminals are only 4/0.. is there some sort of adapter that I can use to be able to run the 1/0 into this amp? I need about 4 of these.. 2 for in line fuse (only 4/0 as well), 1 for 12v on amp, and 1 for ground from amp. I'm getting rid of my cap after this upgrade so no need for adapters on it.

well i was driving all of a sudden the bass stopped i looked back to see all 4 subs "sucked" in so i shut down the power. (switched) remote The amp stayed on with subs still sucked in so i ripped out the speaker leads and the subs released, i then disconnected all power after i let the amp cool down reconnected power and tested with a dmm. results show 0 ac voltage and so i tried dc and got -93 volts wtf! any thoughts as to whats going on as the protection hasn't even tripped yet the fan doesn't fully engage now either. and there is definitely power coming from speaker terminals as it arced when testing(high power).

i just got a american bass vfl 500.1 not to long ago and i was wondering if anybody has one or knows a little about them.

I inquired about purchasing this massive 1500watt amp from a buddy of mines for a few bucks and he said it cuts on fine it just stays in protection should I purchase it and get it repaired. He is selling the amp for 25 bucks. worth repair yay or nay?

has anyone had a remote that went on and off, i checked the voltage from the wire that comes directly out of the deck and it goes on and off intermittently. the deck is very old and seen a lot of abuse, my question is can i splice my remote wire with another to achieve the same effect or am i stuck buying a new headunit, i guess i could run a wire from some 12v source and throw a switch in between but that's a hassle.

i was wondering if maybe there is some kind of really easy way that works well for tuning an amp. the instruction booklet shows most settings for things like sub eq, subsonic, and frequency as set to halfway is this something that i should do with it right out of the box or should i try and tweak the knobs to some other directions. if anyone knows of a easy way to make the settings easy to set and sound fine it would help me a lot. thanks

I'm wanting to run my sundown 3000 at .5 ohms and was wondering what I need to add to my electrical or what could help. Right now I have 2 c&d 77 ah in the back, factory batt up front, 220 amp alt, 2 runs of 1awg. Thanks in advance.

Checked under the hood today and saw this... So pissed. Looks like I won't have my truck for a day or two. Getting it towed to the dealership tomorrow. My friend has a 2004 Kicker L7 8. He needs an amp for it. It is DVC 4 ohm. He wants to put around 750-1000 watts on it. He also doesn't want to spend a lot of money. I have tried to find a good amp for that price, but its hard to get full power with that vc configuration.

Like the title suggests, would it be practical to build a tube amplifier from scratch for a subwoofer? i need between 20-40w power @ 25hz 20w is acceptable but the more the better. Looks and size don't matter. Budget is $150

O.k. I will be hooking up my amp (soundstream 2000w monoblock) to my factory h/u via a PAC audio plug-n-play (c2a-chy) harness. The rca voltage isn't fixed and will be adjusted as the radio vol. is increased up to 5 volts. My question is, in order to set the gains on my amp, do I just set by ear with a test tone or get a line driver and have that fixed voltage to set my gain with a dmm. My amp has a range of 300mV-5V max. Thanks guys !

99 accord coupe 3.0L...pretty sure the alt puts out around only 100amp...i need to figure out if i will be able to power around 1300RMS for my fi BL..what all should i get? Hey guys I would be wiring up my 4 channel amp, and have a few questions. (1) I have read that the power wire should go one side of the car and speaker wire (rca) should go on the other side. Should the remote wire go on the side of the power wire or on the side with the speaker wire? (2) I am using 2 ch bridged for my sub, and the other 2 ch ( built in crossover on amp), for a pair of mids and tweeter. what frequency should I set it to? (3) The HU has 3 pairs of 4 volt rca pre output, should I use these or the the wires from the hu haness to feed the amp or a combination of both? , I have rear speakers which can also be included, what would be the best setup? I have been looking around at equalizers and was wondering how Epic 160s worked as one? I have heard they aren't very accurate for metering so is it even worth getting or am I better getting something like a Clarion 746?

What are some of alpines flip out monitors that work with the h701? i was looking at getting a iva - d310. Any experience with this headunit? Also would i be able to hook this up to a pioneer 9800 headunit? Without a dvd display is manually tuning this a pain?

I am wondering how to go about wiring 2 older fin style rf bd 1000.1 amps to a single 18" old 3 stack Fi btl. The sub needs a recone so I could get dual 2 or 1 ohm coils.both the amps have the spot for the sync cord.the real question I have is one amp to each coil @ 2 ohm? or get the dual 1 ohm coils and run both amps in parallel to both coils in parallel? I never used the bd sync cord, don't know if I should trust it? I don't want one workin harder than the other.as u guys know I'm looking for a 2 ohm load on these amps. Thanks a ton for any input!!!

Just curious about this amp, I found it online, but not many reviews. It's also in the SSA store. Looks sick, but no reviews there either. Anyone heard one, seen one, smelled one, etc. lol.

So I've been looking at a bunch of nav head units, and these two seem like the best out there. I haven't had a chance to use either as I can't find any local shops that have either in stock. What is the general consensus on these two? Is there a clear cut winner? I've heard that the pioneer's have a high failure rate, and they often times freeze up, is that true? They have a gorgeous UI, but if it doesn't work I guess it's not that great. My other concerns with the pioneer are the low RMS power output, no name GPS, and only a single USB input. Would I need an amp with the pioneer or is 14 watts RMS enough for components and mid basses (no subs yet)? Is the GPS comparable …
