Trying to figure out what size alternator I'm going to need and how many batteries I'll need. I'm figuring at least a 250 amp alt and 2 D3100 powermasters, plus a yellow top under the hood. Will be running a Clif Designs 4800.1lx and probably a Sundown 100.2 or 125.2. Is there a way to calculate what I'll need or is this all a guessing game?

I am getting some money built up to get some SSD's and I want to push them just right. Since I have no experience with Fi Car Audio, I was wondering what would be the best choice of an amp for these subs. Money is almost not an issue with me. But not a rediculously priced amp. What are some of alpines flip out monitors that work with the h701? i was looking at getting a iva - d310. Any experience with this headunit? Also would i be able to hook this up to a pioneer 9800 headunit? Without a dvd display is manually tuning this a pain?

I am interested in buying two 15" bl's 1 ohm subs and I am just wondering what amplifier I should put with those. A friend of mine is telling me to go with a USA-2000x amp for both. I keep reading over this forums and it seems lots of people enjoy Sundown. Any help would be appreciated.

What size alternator would I need to run 2 US Amps AX-3200DE, and 2 AX-TU600C Amps? Should I run Dual Alternators?

I've had a Mag D2 for about a month now. And ever since I've had it, when my hu is at high volumes and the bass is hitting hard, it skips like crazy. I have just a normal $150 JVC hu, it sucks and I'm saving up for a new one. But are there any suggestions to help keep it from skipping? (foam or any padding?)

I've got a '03 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, with a stock battery and 150amp alt. If I run a SAZ 1500d with my DC 15, will my stock electrical system be able to handle this? Or should I install a second battery in the back? Big 3? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

im looking to buy either a Sundown SAZ-2500D or an AQ2200D. neither of these amps are internally fused, and ive never ran an amp that wasnt internally fused.. so my question is do either of these amps come with the fuse holder + fuse? also, i know i need the main wire fuse close to the battery, but how close does the fuse for the amp have to be to the amp? less then a foot?

installing my new system and my buddy says no dont run fuses.this is what im running 4 runs of 0 gauge wire from the front battery 2 power 2 ground,in the back i have 2 kinetik 3800s and a 300 amp altenator but the alt wire is fused.there is currently no fuses on the power wires for the truck but have not finished yet so just wondering what everyones opion is.im thinking 2 under the hood one on each power 2 before the batterys in the back and 2 after the batterys in the back.thanks

So for about the past week or two, my speakers keep cutting out. I've tried to find a pattern in their behavior but it APPEARS random. Sometimes they will play for a few songs and then cut in and out in 10 second increments, sometimes they will cut out for 5-10 minutes straight. I thought they might just be over heating (it has been really hot here in Md and the amps are mounted behind the seat) but the amp's thermal warning has not been going off. What's also strange is the sub continues to hit flawlessly. I've walked around with a volt meter and do not see any issues from battery to amp. I am looking for some real world tests done on the 3 types of batteries that show current draws to voltage drops, charge rates, how they funciton and how they differ from one another in a more technical way than "one is wet and one is dry" i seem to recall reading some where that AGM could deliever greater power in a shorter time than a standard lead acid but i cant find anything confirming or deneying this on google. thanks.

The sundown is more expensive, but I use to own a soundstream a while back and never had any issues with it. OK. I know this is a HORRIBLE post and probably an open ended question... I am wondering what can be added to my setup to make it better "overall"? I am seeing a bunch of stuff about things which i have never heard of and am currently researching a few different things to see if something might be missing. My main thing is the speakers or rather all the settings on the amp for the speakers. Ok here we i just bought the mach5 6.5 i bought a saz 3000 and a 18btl with an enclosure design by hexibase. Now my question is what would be a good amp to push the 6.5 i know the saz 100.4 but my budget is getting low so any other sugestion thanks.

ok well i have an alpine cda 9886 and the ipod setting isnt on the HU. to even get it to play i have to put the setting on aux+ and plug the ipod in a certain way and most of the time it wont work. when it does i can change the songs on the ipod when theyre suppose to be changed on the HU. ive tried it with four different ipods and its all the same. has anyone else had this problem?

anyone know how much one of these will cost?
