Alright, so i'm going to be ordering two 12" 2 ohm DVC RL-ps soon. Any suggestions on an amp to run them with? I would like to run them at around 700-800 watts each.

I'm wanting to run my sundown 3000 at .5 ohms and was wondering what I need to add to my electrical or what could help. Right now I have 2 c&d 77 ah in the back, factory batt up front, 220 amp alt, 2 runs of 1awg. Thanks in advance.

Well, the time has finally come for me to try out an active front stage. This will be my first attempt at this and I don't know much about it. I think what I want to do is run an active capable head unit and a nice 4 channel like the IA 6.4 going to some 8" pa mids and super tweeters. I only plan to run 2 mids and 2 tweets for the front stage. I'm looking for something to keep up with at least two 18s, maybe four 18s by next year. Any suggestions on head units, mids and tweeters are welcome and appreciated. So far, I've been thinking about Ciare PT 382 super tweeters and either the Ciare 8.50NdW 8" mids or the B&C 8 NDL51 8" mids. Please, let me know what you think of…

Hey guys. Today I noticed a strange noise coming from the back of my Yukon. It sounded like digital fart through the woofers. So I decided to shut it down and go check things out. The first thing I noticed was that my ground wire was basically melting at the ground point. The sleeve for the ring terminal was melted along with about an inch of wire has turned the casing form clear gray to black.I have 4ga currently for the power run, amps, and ground, but plan to upgrade soon as the rest of my parts show up. There could be more wrong, but I am at work and this is the first thing I noticed. What has caused this? Was I just pulling too much current for 4ga or is it a bad gro…

This may be a stupid question, but i want to be sure before i go and buy this. I want to run this amp(kicker zx200.4) for only one component set. I could just bridge it so it does 100 watts x2 at 4 ohms, right? or is bridging a 4 channel to a two channel not a good idea? thanks

Hey guys, just looking for an ok temporary (probably 6-9 months) to run a single Crystal cmpx2 15. That's going to be 1600 rms dual 2 ohm coils. My budget is around $150 I'm currently looking into grabbing one of the cheap Shark 2500's. Let me know if there are any other options you would recommend. ok, let's start with the stupid question, are 0 gauge & 1/0 gauge cable the same or are they diff & some people just don't realize it? I see people advertise 0 gauge power cable but the pic has 1/0 clearly stamped on cable. 2nd, I will be using 1/0 with an inline 300a fuse approx 4" from batt. It will go into a non fused dist block to 3 amps.(2g out, & 4g x 2 out) Do I need to to refuse between the block & the amps or does the inline protect all wiring past that point? duhhh, found answer to 3rd question! I'm looking for an amp that will push (2) DD3512E's to either close to the max, or max them out. Any suggestions that will give me that amount of power at 1ohm? I'm running two D4's jumped down to a 1 ohm load. System is stock right now, I plan on getting the big 3 done...and another battery. I cant upgrade the alt by much, only up to 120 amps

So I got one of these off ebay and unlike the stinger one it only has 2 wires. And if I was to hook it up straight to power it would be on all the time. Was thinking of either running it off the ignition wire that triggers the head unit to turn on or running it off a switch so I could turn it off. Or do you guys think another way would be better.

Which one of these caps is the better buy or the better name-brand? Is it the LQ30CAP Lanzar 3.0-Farad cap or is it the ALMANI ALF2F 2-Farad Digital Power CAPACITOR. They are both around the same price?

im getting 4 cvr 12s i was planing on getting the aq1200 but now my friend suggested getting 2 zx750.1s i was want to see your guys opinions on what to do aq1200 is 249 shipped and 1 750.1 is 230 shipped the only thing i dont like about the zx is the low pass says 50-200hz so will it not hit the low cause if it wont i dont want it

ok well i have an alpine cda 9886 and the ipod setting isnt on the HU. to even get it to play i have to put the setting on aux+ and plug the ipod in a certain way and most of the time it wont work. when it does i can change the songs on the ipod when theyre suppose to be changed on the HU. ive tried it with four different ipods and its all the same. has anyone else had this problem?

i know alot of people on here run a 3400 in the front and a 3100 in the back. im in a honda so standard size is a 51r. i wanna get an xs for the front (for now anyways) and i like to think ahead. is there a big difference between the 51 and the 3400. id have to do some customizing to get the 3400 to fit but id rather not if i dont have too. if i run a 51 in the front and a 3400/3100 in the back eventualy is the back one gunna drain the front? im probably only gonna have 2-2.5k and might soon be upgrading to a 190A alt

Is this normal? I guess its hard to say, but I own a 2004 Impala, stock alternator. My battery finally died after 9 years of use and when I threw the new one in its charging at 15.5volts. Im just hoping a regulator isnt shot or anything stupid. Obviously constant overcharge can cause batteries to prematurely fail. Just checking to make sure everything is normal here.

My amp is mounted in the middle of my trunk and today i had to take everything out to install some more spl tiles i got in the mail, when i put everything back in and opened my trunk, a drop or 2 of water (it has been raining the past 3 days in st louis) fell onto the circuit board of my t2k...it fell in right by the phase switch. After that when i turned the car on, the sub (FI BTL) was making a awful low scratching noise, at first i figured it was the rca's to close to a power wire, messed around with the rca's which helped a little. I am just completely stumped with this problem. I'll try not to make it long but I want to make sure I explain everything right. I have two amps in my car. A Rockford P500.2 and the SAX-1200D. Both have their own runs of power wire and grounds. The Rockford has 8 gauge going to it, as nothing bigger is necessary, and the 1200D has 4 gauge running to it. Yesterday I completely redid everything at my battery. I had to get new battery terminals, as mine were meant for a top post battery, and rewired the factory ground and such to the new terminals. Whats the difference between the Kolossus Fleks Kable 1/0 and the normal KLMX Kable 1/0?? Other than the Kolossus made up of pure copper are the strand counts different? Also Isnt the normal KLM Kable just as good as kolossus? Material wise except flexibility? Thanks. Just wanted some clarification.
