ok im going to try to make this short and simple because ive been thru hell looking for a new HU that can beat my RAVDVD1 (its nice but lacking a lil and very slow) im lookign for a few features i need and a few i want and other then that i dont care what else it has... so far ive found some close canidates but nothing for sure yet (top is JVC and i dont want a jvc to be hoenst) Features i need: 5.1 support with 6 rca outs dvd video support single din sized Features i want: DVD audio support Ability to handle high SPL USB input DIVX (very very important but all in all i could do without if everythign else was right) 4v+ preouts with 2 360.2 processors and 12 channels of …

needs some opinions on a good 1/2 din eq for under 150. just what some people are using. the main thing that i want is two inputs not aux just frt and rear with three outputs but if i have to i can do without.

Recently my sub hasn't been giving me the same output as usual. I figured it was because of the cold but the output never really changed once it warmed up. So idk whats wrong but basically its at half the volume it used to be. I thought maybe I messed something up on the sub itself but the voice coil wasn't burnt, and there there was no mechanical noise. Basically everything looked fine. I checked the rcas and they were fine, so was all the other wiring. I redid everything on the amp just in case. The wiring on the sub was fine because I haven't touched it in months. well i was bored again the other day so i threw 1 of my oldschool kicker zr240s on 1 of my solo x's. it doesnt sound to bad. i do however have a second zr240 in perfect working order. so how would i go about wiring both of them up and linking them? i want both amps to be pushing the 1 solo x.iv never done it before and help would be appreciated. First off, another comparison that may have already occured yea yea sorry. Looking at a Saz-1500D for $400 or a 2200d for $389? Obviously a difference in power but Sundowns are usually underrated with great CS and don't hear TOO much bout the AQ's besides ppl that have them but know nothing bout any other amps. Got my spare change right and I'm getting ready to get my DC alternator its a 250 Amp large case "hybrid" that does 140 amp at idle. Is this enough with one D2400 under hood (in car now) & a second one (needs to be purchased) in the trunk to give my 3000d the current it needs?

Alright.. So my Iphone has decided to stop working with my head unit. When i plug it in, it will either automatically go to error-01 (communication error). BUT, it also does something else I find very strange. It will sometimes play the very first song on my ipod. Doesnt matter whether I go to playlists, or certain artists, it will always switch to all songs and play the first song according to alphabetical order. (My headunit doesnt let me control songs through my ipod, i always need to switch using the head unit which is normal.) Ontop of this, if it starts playing the first song, i cant skip it, fast forward or even pause. This all causes it to go into an error-01…

Sup everyone, had a few questions. So I just got the new Sundown SAX 100.4D. Its got some EQ buttons that I question because I dont know them. Under the High Pass Filter there is a button is either 12db or if pressed 24db. Also beside that one is a x1 or x10? The last is a knob that ranges from 50Hz -500Hz. Can anyone tell me the advantage of any of them? I played with those settings a little last night when I installed the amp.. I just need someone to give me a good starting point and a better understanding on how to set them. Examples would be greatly appreciated. I just got it in the mail today and I want to intall in my 07 Suburban. Anyone here who has this install on they're tahoe/suburban, where did you mout these unit at? Did you mout it on the firewall, or did you mout it near the fuse box? Is there an easy accessory wire available under the hood that I could use to turn the isolator on/off? Also is there anything else I have to do special with this isolator since this is a newer truck? From the directions it looks like I'll go from the alterntor to the one of the isolator's hot lead. Then from the 2nd isolator hot lead to a fuse/relay switch, which will then go to the second battery. Does that sound about right? Then there a…

I have a 4 ohm sub so should i be looking for an amp that has the subs recommened rms at 4 ohms or how do i pick the right amp. i know thats not real clear but i couldnt figur out how else to word it.

Hey quick question guys/gals I have an optima yellow top i just recently bought.... 34/78 I know others have mentioned hooking there bat straight to the cars battery (parallel if you will) without any problems, YET on the optima website it states: 9. Can I hook an OPTIMA up in parallel with my other battery? No, when hooking batteries together in parallel they should be of identical make, model, and of similar age. So can anyone confirm that there is no harm in hooking my optima in parallel with my car stock battery? tried to search this but found no info

ok well i have an alpine cda 9886 and the ipod setting isnt on the HU. to even get it to play i have to put the setting on aux+ and plug the ipod in a certain way and most of the time it wont work. when it does i can change the songs on the ipod when theyre suppose to be changed on the HU. ive tried it with four different ipods and its all the same. has anyone else had this problem?

Just getting ideas for the next system. I want two 15's max depth of box is 26" and max width is 34-36". Height can vary. I am thinking of icons (I want my next subs to be from ssa) And am just trying to find good amplifier options. I would like something less expensive than the 2000D, but if it comes to it, that is just what i will get. Any good amplifiers that will put 2000wrms out at one or two ohms?

Well I discovered today that my amp power input is loose and the plastic is melted...I attempted to unplug everything and plug it back up and my amp wouldn't come on..Could it still work or am I doing something wrong??

what size alt is needed to run a aqx3500.1?

Im running a rockford fosgate T25001bd wired down to 2 ohms for right now at 2 ohm the birth sheet says 2220 watts i would like to some day drop it down to 1 ohm but that will push 3250 watts and the efficiency goes down by a good amount will i be fine with the stock alt with the xs? i dont have the money at the moment to get a ho alt from dc

i was installing a voltmeter today and i ran a power wire for it from the front battery threw the firewall and up to around where my headunit is the wire was 8g so i just hooked everything up to see if it was working everything worked fine then i moved the headunit and that power wire touch the back off my headunit it sparked and now the hu wont work i dont know how that could break it it touched the part in the back that looks like a heat sink idk what that part is for its liek ridges any way it made this terrible smell so i guess its broke i didnt like that hu anyway it was a soundstream touch screen one so for my new hu im looking for one with just buttons and volume …

If you have a two channel amp and only use 1 channel for now, would all of the amps power from both channels go through that one channel being used or would it stay the same as what it is supposed to put out per channel?

well guys i just purchase a used amp kicker amp by the way. i realize on the birth sheet it says 2800 rms its a kicker KX2500.1 but it has a little sticker on the name of it and i can see in the back it says kx600.1 but thats my question colud kicker miss up on paper and just a sticker to it or the one who sold it to me made a copy and just stick a paper saying kx2500.1. so how can a meassure if its true? Soon I will be getting a 12" AudioQue HDC3 (Copper Coils) and was wanting to finally upgrade my Front Stage Mids & Highs. This is the first time I dealt with Component Systems and 2-Channel Amps so some of these questions might sound stupid. I am considering RE Audio 6.5 Components or Rockford Fosgate T162s and they both are 4 Ohm. Does this mean that after you connect mid & highs to crossover then crossover to amp, then will the final impedance to the amp be 4 ohms? Or is there a way to wire component systems in parallel to get a 2 ohm load? One more question. Is each channel kinda like a different amp? For example, If I have a 4 Channel amp can I have 2 channe…
