I'm going to be running (2) 6.5 Alpine Type R component sets and i need to know what amp would YOU choose and WHY. Audioque: Amps: AQ4X90 Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. - I'm leaning towards the PDX.

I know theirs many of these posts about people asking for a good amp to run there sub but I thought id post my own topic to fit my standards...I have/on the way a 15" Fi SSD. Even though I still haven't received my subwoofer and haven't heard it on my current amp I still don't think my US AMPS XT2000D is going to feed it the power i want. with that being said I want some ideas on a good amp that can put out as much power or a good recommended amount of power to push the SSD. my price range would have to be around 200$ or so...idk just thought id get some ideas if i were to get one soon.

hey folks I was hoping u fellas could help me on an amp decision. I think i finally got a pretty good box build at 2.5 cuft per woofer. I have two 12 RE SX 12D2's. I listen to alot of rap and R&B and while i am a lil concerned about SQ, I know i'm a bass head at heart. I want a beast of a daily driver but i also want to be able to take a crack at competitons say one comes my way... any suggestions?

I bought a PG 1200.1 from my buddy he had 3 15s hooked up with just one PG 1200.1 and he was push about 1510.2 watts when tested with just one Pg and a 4 chanel amp. My buddy told me i could use just the PG 1200.1 to push 4 12 inch hifonics brutuss. Each one is 1200 Wats MAXX 600 W RMS. should i buy 1 more PGs to push the subs the right way or just use one?

Between these two amps, PG Octane-R (4 channel)series and Hifonics Titan (4 channel)Series, which one will you choose???...

Hey guy don't know if you've heard anything about the JBL GTO 1400.1 amp. I was thinking of changing my older PG Tantrum for it. I'm currently driving a JL 13w7 with the PG but I think it's not putting out the wattage it says it does, I mean the fuse rating is only 80 amps compared to the JBL 160 amps. What do you think?

Iv recently blown my Alpine 1000.1 amplifier so i decided to replace it with an older PG Xenon 1200.1 i had lying around. I was looking at the control knobs and noticed it only has a Bass boost option, but no gain setting. Iv looked it up and its a bass boost knob for 45hz, 0-18db. I was just curious how i would go along setting this boost without a gain setting as well. Also, how should i set my deck settings along with this? I'm running 2 Alpine Type X 10" subwoofers in a ported box if that helps. Thanks -Mike

just wondering if anyone knows anything about the Xenon line, prices are falling on them (posted link in classifed section) and same for the subs, I know I should wait until CES, but I am an ansey one

I will be using four Phoenix Gold ZPA amplifiers in my next build. Two of the ZPA 0.5 will be used to power my subwoofers. I am considering two ICON 15". All four of my ZPA have v2 mods as well as cap replacement and the two 0.5 wil have upgraded power supply components. At a 4 ohm mono load the 0.5's output is around 1200w, at 2 ohm mono output is around 1600w. Since these are class a/b amplifiers current draw increases fairly significantly at 2 ohms mono. Do you think I should use these amps at 4 or 2 ohm mono load? I would think that the damping factor would also be lower at 2 ohm mono. This is a daily install and the design goal is more SQ orientated than SPL. BTW I…

alright i plan on running 2 18" subs. i have them in my car (91 civic hatch) so its a tight space. they are already in the car there right behind the seats 2 boxes side by side. and the subs are facing me. do i need to switch the amp phase to 180* since they are right behind my head lol or keep it at 0? its pretty much a wall setup. the subs are just angled back a little bit. im not 100 percent sure about the phase setting yet.

Friend asked me about the phase dial on his sundown 1500. I couldn't give him an answer. What exactly is it and what does it do?

any on here have any experiance with a phase linear uv8? i have someone local that wants to sell one for 150 and i figure that is a pretty good deal unless they are junk any one had one or heard anything with one

What should I set the phase to on my mono amp if my 4ch. has no phase adj.

Since im getting back into car audio. How does the new Phoenix Gold amplifiers compare to the older models like the M and ZX series? Reason im asking is it fits my budget plus a local dealer. I was looking at the RSD600.1 or RSD1200.1 to drive a pair of 12" IA Lethal Injection Series.

I tuned it by ear, but it took a little extra time due to the gain knob being maxed out and still not pushing it's full potential out, so I turned up the bass knob slightly to a point where I saw stress. Now, the sub gets slightly warm after 15 minutes of full tilt, but it's not more then a few degrees higher off the ambient temperature. Just wanting to make sure there's nothing bad going on. I was reading about the PG tantrum 1200.1. I have a 13w7 in a prowedge box. Im gonna wire it in series to push a 3ohm load, would this amp be efficient for that setup? The amp I believe is 2 ohm stable, i hear its much easier to use a 2ohm stable amp rather than finding a .5ohm stable amp.

My H/U only puts out 2v. Figured this could help so I bought one. Im tryna set it to about 5V. Got the cover off and everything. But how do I check what voltage its at? I put a DMM on the outside of the rca plug and it stayd at 0. Put the prongs on the inside and the numbers went crazy! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to have the LD installd and the rca's hookd up before adjusting the voltage?
