Are these any good? the amp I'm getting, an AQ2200d requires a 200 amp fuse, and im using 2/0 welding cable so i figure il ljust get five, best bang for my buck and in case any pop i'll have an extra http://cgi.ebay.com/Tsunami-200-Amp-ANL-Fu...bayphotohosting And for a fuse block/holder, should I use the typical screw down the cable, or should I get the ones that you use a wire terminal on each end and just touch the fuse together? Have any suggestions on some? I need 2 affordable ones, but 3 if they are REALLY affordable.. I'm not trying to cheap out, but I just don't think its necessary to spend 75$ on three fuses... (since I'm using 2/0 thats why I'm wondering becaus…

Currently my setup is as follows: Acura RSX HU: Alpine IVA-W200 Front: Focal Utopia 6.5" and tweets Rear: Focal Polyglass 6.5" Highs Amp: JL 450/4 Subs: 2 Fi Q12" Sub Amp: RF T20001BD I've never tried hooking up 3 sets of components in a vehicle before as I normally have enough with two sets. I was thinking of putting some kick panels in and using the Focal K2 5.25" components I have sitting in my closet. Is there any way I could hook this up without another amp? If not possible, think I would be ok just removing my rear fill and using that channel on the amp for the K2's? Or would that be like too much just coming from the front and only bass in the back...I don't kn…

Okay so im asking this question for a friend of mine. He just recently bought a hu from a local shop and they do free instal with the purchase...well they said that his car has a factory amp and that they will have to by pass it by running all new wires which will cost $120. I am still learning but this just doesnt seem right. I mean why would you want to bypass a amplifier? The shop said that running the amp would equal less output to the speakers but bypassing it would make it louder. I just dont quite understand the logic so if someone could explain it would be great. thanks

Hey guys... I have posted this on a couple other forums and have not had too much feedback. Here are the details: 2007 Chrysler 300C Fi Q15 Dual 2 (Ported) "Big 3" Upgrade I am looking for an amp (1 ohm mono) to run a Q15. I would like it to sounds as good as possible (obviously) with a budget of $350. So far, I have narrowed it down to the following: - US Amps MD-1D - Sundown SAE1000 - Audioque AQ1200D - Cadence iA7 All can be had for $350 or under... what is my best bet for a good LOUD SOUND QUALITY amp?? And why one over the other?? Thanks for all of your help!!!

How do ohms have an impact on the electrical system.? I know that if the woofer is wired to a lower ohm rating then there is less resistance. Does this mean that a 600 watt amp at 2 ohms is the same electrical strain as 1200 watt at 1 ohm? And. I have heard that a higher ohm rating results in "tighter" bass. I believe it is a myth but I want to ask the input of the users on this forum.

So here's the question, i just got my saz-1500d in the mail yesterday, and there is a bass knob.. i only really see noobs with one. so are they worth it, i always just tossed them. if i was to turn it up all the way would it start clipping my amp or will it only raise my gain to where it is at on my amp? i have no problem turning down the sub on my headunit.

This topic is to help a friend at work. He recently bought a 1996 Lexus ls400, he loves the stock system as far as clarity just wants to add some bass. It has a stock free air 8" in the rear deck but its guttless on any bass. He doesn't want anything outrageous just needs to get it bumpin a little bit. What do you guys suggest he do? He has mentioned maybe just find another free air 8 to replace what's there...who makes a decent free air 8? Maybe do a LOC and just add a sub and amp to the trunk?..but he has a stock amp and I have no clue how that works.. Another question he asked me was if he changes his stock head unit, will he lose the ability to use the stock amp and e…

Need some help and thoughts. When I crank my system and it starts hitting the low bass notes the engine idle falls and it almost kills the truck. It never did this with my old system. Here is a break down of the old system and the new sytem. I've asked around and no one seems to have an idea other than that the pg amps are power hungry. Old system JL 1000/1 2 JL 12W6 JL 300/4 200 amp alt 2 awg from batt to the fuse block and 4 awg to amps. New setup 2 Pg ti600.2 2 JL 12W6 Ti 500.4 200 amp alt Yellow top under hood all charging wires with 0 awg (big 3) 0 awg wire to a second batt in the truck (kinetik 1800) with 4 awg wire to amps. Are these amps much good, for the price? Does anyone know if the 1Kw class D puts out actual and how about strapped? The guts don't look that bad inside, and I don't think they sold these at walmart.

  17. I have an alpine 9886 and pxa-h100 crossover. I've looked through the menus and don't see a bandpass option for an active mid range woofer. I looked around the Internet and didn't see anyone running active with this setup. Did I just not find what I was looking for? Or is it not capable? If it's not then pioneer p880prs here I come. Right now I'm using the passive crossovers with my focal 165a1's woofers in the stock location low in the doors and the tweeters mounted low on the pillars. And powering them with an alpine mrp-f250.

hi, i am thinking about getting a jl audio xd600/6 and going 2 way active using my 9887 for the processing. and i plan on using channels 1 and 2 for the tweeters. and 3 and 4 bridged for 1 midbass and channels 5 and 6 for the other midbass. now i am wondering by doing that. will i lose some features such as time alignment? or should it be ok as long as i have the rca's matched up right, thank you. and also i plan on doing the 2 way active this way with that amp because it is going in a truck so space is limited and this is only option that i can think of that can give me the power i want and still keep me within budget. thank you.

I have an xs d3400 and plan on getting another, my problem lies that my altenator has a run of 1/0 to the vehicle fuse/power distribution then charges the batter only after passing through a 140 amp fuse that bridges the battery connection to the altenator charging wire. I plan on running a SS Da Vinci for a 2 way 6.5 system up front and some 5 inch rear fill, and an old school SS tarantula. I will be using BLT4's, will the 140 amp fuse be enough to charge the batteries without blowing, also thinking about taking advantage of a MS-8 processor. please help thank you, also i will have two runs of 1/0 from batt to batt and batt to amp.

I have an Eclipse CD-8053 CD player which I love. It have a built in Crossover, However it can not do everything I need. I need a outboard Crossover that will work in conjunction with the Eclipse r all by itself to control a 3 way or 4 way system I have a SI Sub CDT EF8 Midbass CDT ES520 Components. Now either I need to break the audio line in 3 spots and use 3 amps and let the Components Crossovers do the work between the 5.25 driver and the tweeters, Or I can buy a 4th small amp to run the Tweeters off the new crossover. My Main concern is that its adjustable, and will not introduce any new noise, in other words a SQ piece! Let me know if you have any suggestions. I …
