I want a cheap but decent head unit with an aux jack in the front... I went to several shops; they kept showing me Sony's. They were Xplodes; one had a USB jack in the front. For a second, I wanted one; I started to freak out. I don't like Sony; please help me.

I need an amp that puts out 40-80x2 for my mb quart components. My budget is around 100. I've seen some cheap clarion amps on ebay. Do you guys have any suggestions? What do you think about this memphis amp? Would be nice if i can extract 70x2 out of it. But it is refurbed... Any suggestions would help guys. So I'm gonna do the wiring for my 4channel before I actually get it and the way my h/u kit is designed my h/u has to be bolted in...u can't just pull it out from the front. So can I plug in the rca's in the back of the h/u and not have them plugged into anything at the other end or does there have to be a connection? Or should I just do all the wiring and just not plug it in the h/u until there's a 4 channel I can plug it into

what can this amp really do with (2) fi bl 18"s? overated or underated?

Sub pops when I turn off the car. Talked to physics teacher and he says it is probably a surge that happens when I shut the car off that makes the speaker pop. I am inclined to agree with him... What should I do to fix this problem? Amp= SAZ-1000D if that helps.

i have a popping sound though my sub when i turn off my radio or when i change a track, turn it on mute it will do it when i step on the gas , i first had 2 w6( old school 12s) and a directed 600d amp it never did it when i had that set up, but when i put this one in it started doing it after i played it cupble of times, so what could be the reason.

Well, my friend installed a Rockford Type RF.4 4 channel amp into his car and after it was installed a popping noise would occur when he turned on his HU or when he turned his volume from 0 to 1. We must have regrounded that amp several times but the popping still occurs. We tried replacing the HU but to no avail, same problem occurs. I told him to try regrounding his HU but his HU was already grounded to a drilled, sanded spot. Right now, he is trying to shorten his ground wire. Now this only happened after he installed this amp. So i have 2 Earthquake PH5000/d1 amps running 4 FI SSD 15s. I have found a low popping noise in the speakers from 1 of the amps. When i unplug the RCA cables from it it gets louder. I tried switching the 2 amps and it stays on that one amp. I also have an audiocontrol in dash epicenter that can measure dbs. One night after i built the box i went for a test drive i was hitting 158 on it. the next day and since then i have not been able to hit above 155. The alt is mechman 250amp adjustable voltage and the battery is xspower d1400 14v. I know that there is no definite answer but do you guys think that this would be sufficient to power 3 amps? (saz 3000d a jl 500/5 and a jl e4300) Maybe make it two batteries? Better alt?(recommendation for 1)

Hello all, my set up is pretty basic..kenwood radio and eq, kicker 1200 mono class d amp for my jl 13w7 and kenwood 100x4 interior amp. Also I have a optima red top under the hood and a stinger battery in the trunk all ran with 0 gauge from and I did the big 3. I still have the stock 100 amp alt which im replacing with a 180 amp and also, I never play my system with the car not running. Right now my lights dim and at night when I press the gas pedal my lights get brighter, so will the new alt stop that? And whats the highest that I should have the gain on my sub amp? So i got a double din installed on my car and after about a month my system would just randomly turn off(headunit would power off and same with subs and amp) it did it once then would reboot. I took it in they changed the wire harness and the ground. It fixed it for about 2 days i then decided to change my negative battery cable and that fixed it for a few months and then it came back and i noticed that with the head unit turned off that there was a bass note from the subs playing real faint until i turn the bass knob it gets louder. What could be the issue on why my head unit turns off by its self faulty head unit, bad amp need help asap.

Hey guys, I am having an issue with my amp I am wondering if my RCA's are bad, I had them loose in the trunk while my amp was uninstalled, could they have touched and burnt out or something, I didnt tape them off, only the power wire and ground, I didnt think they needed to be taped off as well. But my amp is sounding unright! the output is very low, I turned the gain up to max and it does not sound like a 1200 watt amp should sound, I dont know if that makes sense. Is there any way to wire my iPod to my factory deck? It doesn't have an aux input, and I don't want to run it off a radio frequency due to shitty SQ.
