I recently bought a pair of sundown SA 6.5 components and the amp i have to run them on is a Vibe Litebox stereo 2 channel. I was curious on the best way to wire them. any help would be much appreciated, thanks!

Just getting into car audio so be kind. I have 2 dvc rockford fosgate hx2 10's (500rms) Sealed 1.5cf box. I know these amps are overkill but eventually I will be upgrading my subs. im looking for mono, 1, 2, chanel amp that @ 4ohm is rated at 600x1 or 300x2 but i need TRU RMS @1,0.5,0.25 ohm to be 1200+ kinda like the saz1500d thanks God bless Samuel

Hey everyone! im new to the forum, but i decided since i purchased my amp from ssa that this would be the forum id make my account on. ive got a sundown saz-1000d pushing 2 alpine type r 10"s at 1ohm along with a 3.5 farad cap. in a 1993 ford tempo I got bored one day and decided to do the big 3 upgrade with some JL 4 awg i had lying around in my room. for some reason i feel unsure about the wire i have going from the engine to the chassis, and was wondering if it'd be ok running a wire from the alternator cage to the chassis instead? if doing this is it still ok to leave the stock engine to chassis wire? is this even possible? or will i just run into electrical problems…

Hello Everybody i'm new here. and i have some questions ! i'm gonna buy HAVOC 15 and hook it up to Amp : Sundown 1000d is it good ? it will be loud ? because i don't have money right now for 1500D and i heard that the amp is Underated is it true ?

So I have my SAX-1200D and im sure its the same with alot of amps as well. But to my question, 2 sets of RCA's and i understand both of them but they are not marked + - on either, so i dont want to disconnect the wrong ones and fry $$$ any 1 have any suggestions to which jack is + and -?

Looking to get a H.O Alternator. I have read some bad feedback about DB and Iraggi. What brand would you suggest? I have read good things about Excessive Amperage! Any others? Thanks

Well I recently (2 weeks ago) purchased a Brand New Volkswagen GTI and it just turned 1000miles so it's time to play (I told myself that I'd at least drive it for 1k miles before tearing it apart.) Anyhow, I'm looking into processors, line level converters, ect.. I'd like to keep the factory deck, It's a in dash 6 disc with aux in and Sirius so I'd like to keep it for now (I've never ran a stock so this will be a new adventure) What I'm looking to do is just get some better sound.. alpine 9886 vs eclipse cd5000 What do you guys think. the eclipse had 8 volt preamp outputs but the alpine works great with the ipod. Im looking for the best of both worlds

hey everyone, i have an 18" fi btl and i was wondering what amp you would suggest? i was thinking about the Hifonics BXI 2010D, im running it at one ohm. also my buddy has a 10 farad power acoustik capacitor..are they any good? this is all goin into a 1992 Chev caviler..will a yellow top battery be enough of a upgrade or should i get a high output alternator? lastly, what does it mean to have a box tuned to a certain amount of Hz? is it like port size? alrite ive got a set of the image dynamics idq 31 eq's and if anyone has ever dealt with these they probably know how to help me. the back of them has all liek XLR input and output jacks, except for 1 rca input and 1 rca output. the way i have had them hooked up for the past year (and yes i kno this is horibly wrong and totally killed my stereo imaging) is had the front l+r into a y cable and in to the eq then out and split it back into a l+r rca. and same with the back. It bugged the hell outta me and i do not want to run it like this so i was wondering if anyone can give me any input on all of the other jacks on the back or if anyone has any of the plugs or anything. ot…

ok so as some of you know dani picked up a new car, a maxima with the bose system in it , for now i would like to get a LOC unit put it on the output of the bose sub and run an amp off of it of course, i was looking at LOC units, and i have used some high end ones, and i have used some scoshe ones from walmart but , they have alll been adjustable, the stinger one im looking at now does not... im not sure that it will matter, the boes sub is very low power.. i guess its only getting 10 watts or so... its very low power.. has any one used this LOC before? http://www.walmart.com/ip/Stinger-SGN11-12W-Fixed-Line-Output-Converter/21647873?findingMethod=rr and also if an…

Ok my first post here guys, I sold my MTX terminator's i know haha really cheap 12's with a crappy amp but to me they honestly weren't that bad although i haven't heard anything other than that and kicker comps. i'm just now starting to learn about car audio. right now i have alpine cda-105 HU alpine type r coaxial 6x8s up front alpine type r coaxial 6x9s on the rear deck I was gonna get a 4ch amp and a mono block amp but i came across 5ch amps so u get your high's n mids and sub channel all in one amp the kicker zx700.5 looks like a pretty good deal and i'd probably come out cheaper getting that vs buying a 4ch and a mono block amp my question is would 70x4 be enough …

This is my first time messing with the GM Data system as my older tahoe didn't have it. I don't care about keeping satellite radio, onstar, or the bose system. I DO want to retain warning chimes, retained accessory power, and steering wheel controls. I'm installing aftermarket head unit, amps, etc. I am looking at either the PAC RP3-GM11 and PAC SWI-RC(~$120), or Metra BX-GM1 and Metra ASWC-1(~$90). Of course saving money is nice, but I don't want to have any integration issues. Just hoping someone has used one or the other, or both, and knows if there are any known issues. Edit: I suppose I should mention I am working on a 2005 silverado.

I have everything connected right on my amp but it is going to protect mode!! I’ve disconnected everything and connected everything back but still is in protect mode. I have a loc running to my amp on my stock boss radio. Can anyone let me know what am I doing wrong. Also if I connect the remote wire to the amp and conect the battery wire and remote together also my amp turns on idk if that a bad thing or a good thing. Fyi it was working before and one day in the am everything stop working.

Ok I just got an audio pipe 1300 amp it's a 2 channel amp. If I wire it two the outside + and - and hook it up to a 4 ohm single coil sub will that show as a 2 ohm load bridged and give it 600 watts or read it as 1 ohm and 300 watts??

Just like the title says. If my woofer can handle more that what my amp can throw at it, how would I go about setting my gain to absolute max without clipping? If you say you can hear it then please record me a sample and send it to me so I can hear it for sure. Thanks jerry

I have an Eclipse CD-8053 CD player which I love. It have a built in Crossover, However it can not do everything I need. I need a outboard Crossover that will work in conjunction with the Eclipse r all by itself to control a 3 way or 4 way system I have a SI Sub CDT EF8 Midbass CDT ES520 Components. Now either I need to break the audio line in 3 spots and use 3 amps and let the Components Crossovers do the work between the 5.25 driver and the tweeters, Or I can buy a 4th small amp to run the Tweeters off the new crossover. Hello everyone, I haven't posted here in a while, but I've been keeping myself current on the threads in the build logs section for sure. Some of you might remember my build log, and might also remember that once I got to the point where I could finally fire the thing up, I was having lots of trouble with noise. I tested and tested, and it turns out that it is my JL Audio 500/5 that's to blame (I installed another amp in its place and the problem was totally fixed). It's a high pitched beeping sound that changes evenly in frequency (up and down). Sometimes it actually sounds like a pack of dolphins from the nature shows... very bizarre. Alright guys, I'm looking to expand my knowledge on car audio and I'm wanting to look into active setups and how they work, do's and dont's, ect. I'm not trying to look lazy here and not able to do my own research but I cant seem to find some quality websites explaining this when I search it up.
