Okay I have a PPI PC2200, But I have no clue how much it's worth. Anyone know?

I cant stand this chit anymore! OOppss can I swear in here? LOL Anyways Ive done everykind of search for the PPI car amps on all models. High and low through Google searches with rephrasing the words and the whole bit! For makin some bomb ass amps they suck with tellin you how to use the Dang Things!!! Well yeah I know they sold out and ya da ya da but CHHEEZZZ can I get a lil help people! Startin to get frustrated,mad,tired and ready 4 a new amp! Only had these PPI's for a lil over 4 months together but now I think I want a 1500W to 2000W Mono Amp or 2 channel. But I put in some time and efforts pickin up these PC 2150's and they are tight as hell. But I have this one …

How do I connect my subs to my Amp to Bring it down to 2ohms? The amp rating is 200x4ohms 400x2ohms 800x4ohms Bridging the amp L- R+ brings the amp to 800x4ohms So I was wondering how to do I connect it to bring it down to 400x2ohms. Right now it's connected R+ R- and I don't know if that's 200x4ohms or 400x2ohms. Please help.

what is the pre amp voltage in deck do? what would be the difference between getting a 4 volt pre amp deck and a 5 volt pre amp?

I was talking to guy at the local shop and he got me thinking about pre-amp voltage and line drivers. I have a Pioneer 3200DVD with 4v pre amp outputs. He told me that a line driver would boost that voltage and make a night and day difference to my system. If someone could tell me how they work, and what it would benefit to me if I got one. Head Unit is stated above and the amp is a saz-2500d. He exclaimed it was needed, I don't think it is. He may of been trying to make a sale. Thanks in Advance!

Gonna buy a single 10" or 12" X or Icon, which ever pops up in the classifieds first. Will be in a .8-9 cuft fiberglass box sealed, polyfilled 1-2lb iirc. This is an under seat setup for a 4 door dodge pickup. I've seen the black ice has been proving a decent amp for the money. Just want to get any last opinions or reasons to not get it and go with something else. I don't want to spend more than $200-250 on an amp at the moment. Thanks!

Anyone know if Precision Power makes quality amps? I was looking at these two http://www.sonicelec...I-S1300.1D.html and this one http://www.sonicelec...-BK1300.1D.html. Looking to use it at 2ohms to power a single d4 skar vvx10. Just wondering if it would be worth the money, cuz im on a tight budget.

Anyone have any experience with the precision power amps? I have a d2000/1 but have never used it, just checked to make sure it worked. Just got 2 sundown SA 12's and wondering if this would be a good amp for them. I also have a sundown 1000d but I think the SA 12's would do better with more power, just wanting some input from some of you with more experience than myself.

i have had a couple pioneer 980's that had ground problems, then on the 3rd one i had for over a year with no problems. Now i havent had a stereo in almost a year ( bought a bike and never drive truck), now i am putting stereo in truck. I would like the new 800prs, but have still read of many people having trouble with pioneer ground problems. What headunit does everyone use comparable to the pioneer? Locally, only choices here are pioneer, very few being premier models, alpine, and some lower end kenwoods. thanks for help

Hey all, I just picked up a Pioneer Premiere DEH-P880PRS off ebay for $200. Pretty good deal. The only thing is, is that it doesn't come with a cage, book, or harness. I get get the pdf of the book off of pioneers website. Does the 880 use a 16pin harness like all of the ones on ebay? There is a cage, harness, and trim panel on ebay for $15.00 shipped. So any help would be appreciated! -Ryan

ok i just got a alpine cda9855, and the preouts say 4 volts. i am going to be using a us amps ax1000de and a us amps merlin md41, and the input gain on the ax1000de is 150mV to 3 volts. and the md41 i dont have the manual on. so my question is. will a 4 volt preout work with this amp, and if anybody knows if it will work with the merlin as well. also what exactly will the difference be between 2 volt preouts and 4 volt preouts. becuase im pretty sure 4 volt is better. thanks

Hey guys!!! I bought an alpine cde123 and it says it has 4v preouts before clipping. Well I am wondering why when I measure at volume 23(at 24 the speakers start to distort) it only measures .188v, I had to max my amp gain out to get it to play full tilt. Even the the amp clipping light doesn't come on when it's up all the way? What could be the cause of this?

Well I sold my pretty red car in my avatar. :L I bought a nice Jeep Cherokee though and I plan on getting a BTL in the near future. For the sake of my electrical, would there be less voltage drop if I ran a SAZ 3,000 at 2 ohms compared to a SAZ 1,500 at 1 ohm? I don't mind the extra $175 or so if it won't take as much of a toll on my electrical. I have a stock alternator and will only be getting 1 XS or Kinetic battery (as big of one that I can fit) that will go under the hood. Thanks in advance.

Ummm. I redid my big three. I was making a tutorial for YouTube.I added, didn't replace the original wires. In 1/0 i did alt positive to battery positive, battery negative to chassis, battery negative to engine block, engine block to chassis i guess its more of a big four. And battery is kinetik 800. And for a couple of days it was alright. But then I noticed it was having problems turning on, it would crank an extra 2 times or so. Now it doesn't start without me getting a battery charger. Okay, so my problem is that my brothers HU only has one RCA output that is currently running to the amp he had on his subs, well now we are hooking up another 4-channel amp for his 4 6.5's he has in his car now. So i need another 2 RCA outputs somewhere to go to the 4-channel amp. *Can I just get 2 RCA line output converter's and tap one into one of the 6.5's in the rear and one of the 6.5's in the front?? He doesnt want to upgrade his HU right now. Any input is always appreciated. Thanks

My friend is installing his eclipse avn52d headunit in his 05 hyundai sonata. I've had a little more experience with it so I was helping him. We got everything squared away and now came time to turn on the car and test it. The headunit came on but there was no sound coming out of the speakers. I double checked wiring. Still nothing. Went to the biggest audio shop around town and they told me to check a few things and I did that still nothing. They said the car might have a factory amp and that is why the speakers arn't working because the amp isn't see power, which made sense but when I did what they told me it didn't work. hello, i recently got 2 alpine type r's professionally installed in my trunk with a kicker 1000.1 mono amp. It was blasting nd bumping for about 2 weeks then i realized that they needed to be mounted because they moved around too much. I got them mounted and they started to make a strange noise. I took it to the installed nd they "fixed" it by fixing the ground substance or whatever....I turned the car on and the noise is still there. I took out the "phone line wire" from the amp and it still makes the noise, the installer said it was probably something wrong with the amp but im not too sure... the subs make a loud croaking nd buzzing sound even when i have them set at 0.…

For my birthday, my girlfriend bought me a brand spanking new Eclipse 5425 HU. I chose to install it because I was ripping everything out in order to lay down wiring for new speakers and amp. And I just really like doing that stuff myself. The problem is this... Sometimes the display and buttons don't light up and are inoperative. The stereo still plays, but you can only adjust the volume level and change stations. You cant insert or eject a cd, change any functions, or even tilt the screen. So my kenwood kdc deck is acting up and I feel like I don't know where to start.. Ok so the other day my head unit would just randomly turn off and then back and on and back off again. It would work for the most part then yesterday I was stopped at the bank and it shut off and didn't come back on.. So tonight I re-did some of the wiring behind the head unit but still nothing. I'm thinking its either a bad ground or a loose wire somewhere.. It will come on for a good 5-10 seconds and then I move it and it shuts off. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I recently had an apline head unit installed in a toyota camry. I have a memphis audio amplifier pushing four 6X9's and an JBL amplifier pushing two subwoofers. Everything was working fine in my jeep and then yesterday when it was installed in my camry this happened. The head unit puts out an audio signal to the amplifiers only when using the radio, the cd player and ipod can't be heard through the speakers connected to external amplifiers ( but the cd and ipod can be heard through the speakers that are being pushed through the head unit's internal amplifier).

I was just installing my pioneer avh 4200 and while i was pushing the headunit in my yellow wire came undone and must have grounded because the unit shut off. When I connected the yellows back together the unit would not turn on. But once I touch the yellow with a constant 12v connection it turns on. Is there a way i can fix my yellow wire or would i have to tap into another wire? Everytime I turn off the unit it will reset because the yellow wire isn't working. BTW it is an explorer 2003. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

well just like the topic title suggests i have a problem with my amp. i have 2 2400's and i strapped them to my FI BTL 18. one amp per coil. amps are stable to 2 ohms i have dual 2 ohm coils. now im pretty sure the amps dont truley strap together but they have the slave copy master switch to match gains and xovers well i set them up how the book said and it was workin but just didnt sound like i had 2 amps on the sub. so i started foolin with the switches. well needless to say i messed up onw of the amps and also blew my sub, both coils. now one amp is fine and works perfectly it was the master amp. the slave amp still works but when i turn the LPF up it makes a buzzi…
