Any recommendations out there? I'm looking to get a Double DIN Non Nav unit with at least 4v preouts. I will have powered door speakers and then my SSA XCON in the rear powered by the RF T1500. Thanks for any recommendations.

I just recently found out that my T400-4 has some major issues with crosstalk. I talked with a local guy advertising on CL for amp repair and $25 for testing and flat $125 for repair has me wondering if it would be cost effective to fix it vs selling it cheap to someone that wants to mess with it and getting new amp(s) to properly power to my mids. The ad in question is http://phoenix.craigslist.org/evl/eld/4346888840.htmlI am trying to run a set of ID X65 and XS28 in a 2-way active setup. I have been eyeing the arc foose amps and the zapco st-x and st-d lines if I were to change what I was running. My goals are to utilize my current drivers in the stock door locations t…

Current setup is a Pioneer GM-D8604 4 Ch amp (4x150), this amp powers a 10" Infinity Kappa 100.9W (bridged) and JBL P660c components. I also have a pair of JBL GTO938 6x9's (un-amped) in the rear deck. This is running of the OEM head unit. I blew the coil of the Kappa sub a while back so I'm looking to upgrade. What I'm wanting to do is install an Alpine Type-R 2 ohm in it's place and run it off of a dedicated mono amp. I've already purchased the Pioneer GM-D9601 amp. This pushes 1200 watts RMS at 1-ohm. And add the rear 6x9's to the Pioneer GM-8604. This amp is installed under the driver seat, so I want the second amp under the passenger seat (it fits, without the wires…

I have been considering running dual alts in my silverado and was wanting to know a few things... 1. I have a Mechman 270 installed right now. Can I install my stock alt and add the mechman back on a dual alt bracket? 2. Can I use the stock alt to run stock electrical and the mechman to run everything else? Or do I have to run them together? 3. How do I wire in the second alt if its possible to run the different sizes?

So I have a delima. I have a Chevy Sonic and the stock alternator is only 100 amps. I cannot find an upgrade for it nor can I find anyone that can rebuild it to have higher output. My question is, what can I do to upgrade it? I have already done the big 3 and upgraded the stock battery. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Are DD amps worth the money? I sold my saz2500 because it was in okk shape and a guy offered me 460 for it. Kinda scratched and a few dents so I took it. I came across a DD M3a for 520 shipped. Is it a good deal? Does anyone else run digital design amps? Any experience with them, good or bad?

Just bought a northstar nsb agm 34 Opinions? Any experience? What am I to expect of it? Electrical: runs of 0 gauge 220 amp alt Big 3 Duralast gold under hood Kinetik hc600 as 2nd battery Pushing roughly 2400 watts rms The kinetik is being replaced by the Northstar. I typically drop down to around 10.5v with car driving and sub playing. Just curious if this should solve my problem and if anyone has experience with these batteries.

  19. Here is a video to show my new charging system. The main point of the video, which came to my surprise. But EVEN with a large electircal system, you still may not be supplying enough for your audio equipment. This was an interesting find for myself. At full tilt sort of speak, my vehicle, the vehicle itself, pulls right around 40 amps!!! That is HUGE! haha. That included, headlights which is H.I.D.s, which pulled 10 amps lol, Wiper Full blast, Front heat full blast, rear heat full blast, and interior lights on. So, let's just say I had an stock 80amp Alternator. That means 40 for the vehicle, and only 40 for the audio equipment. That is some huge information to know for y…

Ok, I recently bought a blown sax 100.4 relatively cheap. I did not need it, but wanted to see if I can fix it. I know it needs new rca inputs as one is broken, but I believe it needs a mosfet (that is my guess I have yet to do any testing). Before I go any further where can I purchase amplifier parts from knowing that they are quality parts and exactly what I need. Again this is just something I have wanted to take a crack at for awhile and a lot of people probably think this is stupid, but I am hard headed and like to tear things apart and rebuild them. Lol

I have an xs d3400 and plan on getting another, my problem lies that my altenator has a run of 1/0 to the vehicle fuse/power distribution then charges the batter only after passing through a 140 amp fuse that bridges the battery connection to the altenator charging wire. I plan on running a SS Da Vinci for a 2 way 6.5 system up front and some 5 inch rear fill, and an old school SS tarantula. I will be using BLT4's, will the 140 amp fuse be enough to charge the batteries without blowing, also thinking about taking advantage of a MS-8 processor. please help thank you, also i will have two runs of 1/0 from batt to batt and batt to amp.

  22. As the title states, I've got one of these HU's coming. It's BNIB, never used, never opened. It wasn't really a planned purchase, the seller posted it up on EBAY and when I threw in my max bid it was at $32. After a few other bids went on it It came to $104.50 and that's what I won it at! Pretty damn decent deal IMHO. That brings me to the point of my thread. Anyone have any experience with the EQ settings on this unit? It has a plethora of crossover, DTA, and EQ settings, but it's only a 5 band parametric EQ. The question I'm trying to answer is, what frequencies can you select for each of the bands? The book only says 20hz - 20khz. Most list the frequencies suc…

i have 2 batteries up front right now and plan to add some more wattage to my system. i am thinking of building a bracket ot hold a dedicated alt for 3 AGM's in the back and run 2 lead acid up front for the rest of the vehicle. however i wounder if this is necessary, is there a way to have 3 batteries in back and 2 in front with a single alt and have it setup for the stereo to only pull power from the rear battery bank and have no voltage drop/draw from the front 2 batteries for the rest of the car? i was thinking the only way to eliminate voltage drop to the factory electronics was to get a dedicated alternator and battery bank but i thought id ask here before installing…

I recently had a 3sixty.3 failure and decided I no longer wanted a separate processor. Now im looking into head-units that can give me what my 3sixty did. My setup consists of a set of rockford T5 comps and an Fi Q. When I had the 3sixty I Used my T400-4 to bi amp the T5 passive giving me a the ability to eq mids and tweeters seperatly. I realize that I may not need that and decided to bridge the amp and not bi amp anymore. So with that I need is a headunit with time alignment and a decent eq. The head unit I have in mind is the alpine cde-149bt; it does t/a but only gives a 9 band parametric eq. I guess my question is do you thing 9 bands will be enough?
