I took my bmw to a local install shop here in Atlanta.... I had them make me a sealed box for my 2 15's. Solobaric l7's to be exact(dual 4 ohm)..... i dropped my car off and left.... When I returned everything was done! EXCEPT! I have a o guage kicker wiring kit and they told me 0 guage wouldnt be necessary so i said ok we'll see what happens first... i told them i wanted to use the 300a kicker fuse though.... I returned and all my settings were turned up... the sub on the radio was at 15/15 the highest it would go..... the bass was at its highest level and the gain was more then 75% up..... they told me......" we've been playing it hard for the last hour trying to break …

i'm thinking of getting a second eD nine.1. they're 900 watts stable at 2 ohm, and 1200 at 1 ohm. if possible i'd like to run them both at one ohm, im pretty sure i have the electrical system for it. question is, if i wire a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub by itself to the amp its either at 4 or 2 ohms right? no way to get 1 ohm load from a single d4 woofer? could someone maybe give me a crash course in wiring? i think i would need d2 woofers to get 1 ohm from 1 speaker right?

I am thinking about getting a Sound Stream Xstream 480.2 and 360.2. I know that some of the older Sound Stream amps were really good. But is this like other "ghood back in the day" companies or do they still make strong products?

I have a JVC KD-Dv500 head unit. It plays everything, including dvd's. It is dolby 5.1 ready, w/ the digital toslink output. I am looking at a PhoenixGold 5.1 amp for everything except my sub, that has the toslink input. SO, my question is, it I hook up the head unit to the amp with the digital cable, would I still need to use RCA's, or does the digital cable take the place of them? MattB

Everything was working perfectly til yesturday when I took out my batterys ground and added another ground wire, when I turned the car back on my voltage gauge and both amps powered up but the HU didn't light up at all and started beeping really fast for the first few seconds then stopped, I hit the reset button on the HU and now nothing powers up (HU, amps, voltage gauge)...I checked both fuses on the amp (1 fuse on red power wire, 1 glass fuse on yellow "back up" wire) both were replaced and I've checked the necessary fuses in the interior fuse box with no luck... I've already emailed eclipse with no response in 3 days Im guessing that because they shut down all US oper…

Well, I have all the speakers that are going in my truck, however, I lack the power to get them up and running. I came across a thread over on CA.com that linked me to a memphis amp called the "mch1300". I don't know much about memphis products, but that's beside the point. My question is this, instead of having to buy a lot of amps will this power the following: 2 image dnymaic cx62's @ 2ohm so they should get 115 watts, 2 koda 8's they are 4ohm so they should get 75 watts, and a eclipse ti, it's DVC 4ohm so it should recieve 600 watts. Is this correct? That would mean I would just need to get an amp for my horns and I'd be set. Also the kodas, really won't be get…

My system was finally working right all together. I was on my way to my apartment (3 hr drive), so I had turned the bass really low so it wouldn't knock my radar detector off the glass. I was just driving along and heard a loud bass hit all of a sudden. It was really weird, kuz the bass was pretty much to where I couldn't even hear it and I guess I didn't notice kuz i had turned it down alot. So the bass hit really hard, then stopped. It did this about 2-3 times, just really odd sounds and extremely loud...like not going with the music that was playing and far far louder than I had the bass turned up. Anyway, I got home to check it out. I can turn the subwoofers OFF…

Driving a 03' bmw 325i sedan, have a JVC KD-AVx77 and it doesn't fit. The dash kit I purchased doesn't even fit it. I also think that the panel that goes over the dash kit doesnt even fit the unit either. Anyone know what I can do? Am I going to have to customize it?

Alright so my Fi 12 D2 q should be arriving tomorrow. I arleady have my Sundown Saz 1000D. I've been reading as much as I can on here so I just want to make sure I have everything straight. Wiring my sub to 1 ohm I need to take the positive's and run a wire from one to the other andsame for the negatives. Then take a wire from one of the pos and neg's and run them to the amp. I noticed the amp has 2 sets of speakers inputs A & B. I would hook my sub up to one set correct A or b? As for setting up the amp I have a Alpine CDA-9884 it has a subwoofer level 0-15 if I understand this I put the subwoofer level to 15, bass to 0. Take 1000wRms x 1ohm load, Square root of 1…

Just like the title says. If my woofer can handle more that what my amp can throw at it, how would I go about setting my gain to absolute max without clipping? If you say you can hear it then please record me a sample and send it to me so I can hear it for sure. Thanks jerry
