When replacing in line fuses with a bigger size do I have to buy another holder or can I use the one I have now? Thanks

so, like the title says, im begin to look into an active set up. right now i have chitty sony hu (cdx gt310.... first hu). im basicly looking to the option i should be considering when goin to an active set up. obviously im looking for new hu. my idea is to slowly work up the funds for it or put it on my xmax list. as a college student i really dont have the funds but im very interested in this hobby and i think this is the next step. well technically i will be deadening the front doors first and finishing the trunk. my plans are to sell my current hu and pg rsd components when the time comes ofcourse. i also need to run new rca's and clean up some power and gound wiring …

I know everyone's going to be like after reading this but please bare with me. I have a Pioneer 800prs and 3sixty.2 that I want to use together for a 3way + sub active setup. I'm just looking for the best way to hook them up to eachother. Alright, the 3sixty.2 allows 50hz-10khz on the front and rear outputs and 50hz-200hz on the sub output. Center will not be utilized unless later on I feel like adding a light rear fill (mono). The 3sixty also allows Bandpass, HP, LP, and Bypass on the front and rear outputs and LP only on the sub output. The 3sixty has a 31-band EQ for the Front Channels, 27-band EQ for the Rear and Center channels, and a 10-band EQ for the subwoofer.…

Hey guys im looking to try out the maxx link but i have a question for ya. Im gonna be running 4 kicker zx2500.1 amps and 2 18in Btl dual 1 ohm subs. The zx amps are 2 ohm stable and i was wondering if there is any possible configuration to have the amps see a 2ohm load once strapped. Also would i be better without the maxx link and running each amp to each coil? What ohm loads could i see there. thanks

I'm changing my T600-2 running 2 P3's to a T1000_4ad. Unfortunately I have to bridge them seperately and must use two different gain controls. I wish it had a master, slave control but there independant and want to know how to balance the gain between the two subs. I don't want one sub hitting harder than the other.

i'm thinking of getting a second eD nine.1. they're 900 watts stable at 2 ohm, and 1200 at 1 ohm. if possible i'd like to run them both at one ohm, im pretty sure i have the electrical system for it. question is, if i wire a dual 4 ohm voice coil sub by itself to the amp its either at 4 or 2 ohms right? no way to get 1 ohm load from a single d4 woofer? could someone maybe give me a crash course in wiring? i think i would need d2 woofers to get 1 ohm from 1 speaker right?

So i'm sure many of you have heard this question before but i cant seem to find a good answer.. I'm running an Fi bl 15, on a sundown sae 1200d in my scion tc. Big 3 is done. Stock battery is some kind of panasonic. It seems that its not regenerating power quick enough or something. I will start my car in the morning and be at like 13.8 volts, and start it up a few hours later and be at like 13.4 upon startup. I want to be at a consistent higher number than this. Also how can i prevent my voltage from dropping so low when at loud volumes, getting tired of seeing it drop in the mid 11's and having to worry about it. Hey I've got 2 12" ssd's to a 08kickerzx2500.1 with a Kinetik hc1400 in the back. The first 4 weeks I had the setup it was great, working to what I had expected. Some said they have never heard any cars around here get so low. (tuned to 33hz) Then...last week I turn my PAC bass knob all the way up and then I hear the bass cut off, I then turn down the knob and it comes right back on. I turn it back up and after like 30secs it will cut off and on. I am looking for a new head unit for my friend who doesn't have much experience with audio. He has an 01 Dodge Ram Regular Cab...bone stock audio system. He has a budget of about $250. He is planning on eventually putting new speakers as well as maybe a 10 ported if he can fit it. Anyways...I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-P9400BH as it has 4V RCA Preouts and all the goodies like HD Radio Tuner, Bluetooth, Pandora etc...but anyways I thought I would get some advice from other more experienced people...any suggestions?

i went ahead and ordered 2 SAZ-1500D's. I had a stock battery but i purchased a Duralast Gold Yellow Top before i started on my system. I got a 200 amp alt coming and i purchased a Kinetik HC1800 to go in the trunk. IS this enough? i wanted to do the big 3 upgrade but i wouldnt know where to start much less what to do. is adding the extra bat and changing the alt enough?

the alternator i have is a single wire and does not have a ground connection. it is mounted on 2 bolts that screw in to the engine block. is it alright that i grounded the engine block to chasis instead?

Hey guys... I'm about to do the big 3 in my pontaic g8 and the batter is in the truck.. The alt positive is no problem but I'm trying to work out the engine block ground..... What are my options without putting the wire under the car..... Can I ground the block to the chassis and double up on the chassis grounding points near the battery?

I will be using four Phoenix Gold ZPA amplifiers in my next build. Two of the ZPA 0.5 will be used to power my subwoofers. I am considering two ICON 15". All four of my ZPA have v2 mods as well as cap replacement and the two 0.5 wil have upgraded power supply components. At a 4 ohm mono load the 0.5's output is around 1200w, at 2 ohm mono output is around 1600w. Since these are class a/b amplifiers current draw increases fairly significantly at 2 ohms mono. Do you think I should use these amps at 4 or 2 ohm mono load? I would think that the damping factor would also be lower at 2 ohm mono. This is a daily install and the design goal is more SQ orientated than SPL. BTW I…

I have ordered a D3400 for the trunk and front bat on my car. Should I have gotten the 3100 for the rear. If I read the details correctly it just has a larger AH value which means it should stay charged longer(I believe). If I have made a poor choice please let me know I will be running around 4k on a 270 amp alt. two runs of positive 1/0. Also would it be overkill to have more than one battery in trunk. I realize power is the hole key. Just wanted opinions to help me make correct decision even though I already have the two D3400 just wanted to get third and if the trunk bats are incorrect I will have to sell and order correctly.

hey all, im in the process of trying to possibly put a xcon 12"/sundown 1500 setup in my car. its a 95 camaro. well my charging system is shot i need a battery and alternator ANYWAY. can someone steer me in the right direction as to what battery and alternator i would need to power the stereo and car. ive heard a lot of bad things about the optima batteries so are there any other options?
