anybody have any experience with this amp? i'm thinking about getting one off of ebay to power my 6.5"s and tweeters. all comments about it are welcome, good or bad. recomendations are welcome too!

My system was finally working right all together. I was on my way to my apartment (3 hr drive), so I had turned the bass really low so it wouldn't knock my radar detector off the glass. I was just driving along and heard a loud bass hit all of a sudden. It was really weird, kuz the bass was pretty much to where I couldn't even hear it and I guess I didn't notice kuz i had turned it down alot. So the bass hit really hard, then stopped. It did this about 2-3 times, just really odd sounds and extremely loud...like not going with the music that was playing and far far louder than I had the bass turned up. ok here is the scenario: im running 2 BLs off of 2 1000.1 kickers and am gettin some dimmage(only when i turn it up), everything is stock question(s): whats the difference between a red top and yellow top(which is better reccommended if at all)? or do i need to get an xtra battery and/or cap? should i go ahead and attempt the "big 3 upgrade" to see if it helps any? thx in advance, and sorry, im noob when it comes to this stuff

What can happen if to many things are hooked to one remote wire? . . . Every once and a while my amps will shut off like there protecting and sometimes the cd player will shut off but volts will be in the low 13s . Could this happen from alot of things hooked to one remote? . I have both sub amps. My 4 chan amp. An eq and both volt meters all from one remote

Just curious if the Atomic 5000.1 can do .5 ohms daily with the proper electrical and how much power it will put out at 13-14volts..

i plan on upgrading the battery under the hood with an agm but am worried about the arizona heat "killing" it. does anyone live in hot weather that has an agm bat in their car, and if it lasts as long as people say?

I know everyone's going to be like after reading this but please bare with me. I have a Pioneer 800prs and 3sixty.2 that I want to use together for a 3way + sub active setup. I'm just looking for the best way to hook them up to eachother. Alright, the 3sixty.2 allows 50hz-10khz on the front and rear outputs and 50hz-200hz on the sub output. Center will not be utilized unless later on I feel like adding a light rear fill (mono). The 3sixty also allows Bandpass, HP, LP, and Bypass on the front and rear outputs and LP only on the sub output. I installed 3 batteries which one in the engine compartment and another 2 in the boot. Since I owned a small car, I cramped those batteries on the side of the box and its almost impossibel to take them out without taking the whole enclosure with it. So my question is it safe to charge the battries while it is still connected to the amp and the front battery or should I unhook all cables before charging the batteries.

I could not find the answer using the search fonction. Sorry. Can I use the Alpine 9886 with the Alpine processor pxa h 701 without getting the "screen" remote( RUX something) ? A friend of mine already has the h u, and he just made a fantastic deal on the processor. He does not know how to run both ! He has the imprint processor but this new one seems way better. If he has to buy the remote, he will do it, but it would be great to just run bost equipment without anything more. Thanks for your help guys !

hey guys, i joined like 5 years ago and used to troll back when fxn and some of the other explorer sites were still around. Since, then I have gotten a different truck, 2006 GMC Canyon, and now comes the system addiction. In my explorer I was running a Phoenix Gold Tantrum 1200.1 amp to 2 Adire Audio Shiva mark !V's. However after about 2 months the amp fried somehow and I swapped to a RF amp and it is still running strong even though I know longer have it. The point of this post is that I want to put a system in the new truck, with either a few 8's or some shallow 10's and I would love to be able to use this PG amp since I know i can get it fixed. How big of an alt would i need for 2 saz-1500 on 2 yellow tops.

I plan to wire my sub to my amp like this, My question is, would it be the same if i ran 1 positive wire out of 1 positive terminal on the amp into 1 positive terminal on the voice coil and the other positive terminal on the amp to the other positive terminal on the other voice coil and the same for the negative?

i went ahead and ordered 2 SAZ-1500D's. I had a stock battery but i purchased a Duralast Gold Yellow Top before i started on my system. I got a 200 amp alt coming and i purchased a Kinetik HC1800 to go in the trunk. IS this enough? i wanted to do the big 3 upgrade but i wouldnt know where to start much less what to do. is adding the extra bat and changing the alt enough?

from my readings it was mentioned that remote turn on leads should be fused at .5A on all installs. is this standard practice today or was this directed at older decks? i have just never seen or heard of this until i read it. when using a LOC converter (factory head unit to power amps) i read it should be installed behind the deck. is there any reason against installing it off rear speakers in the trunk or else where in the car? assuming what ever speaker outputs you are going to are the right type e.g. not crossed over from the factory deck at an incorrect frequency for your application. edit: question about gains. when setting amp gains i was told that i should max ou…

So I sent in my alternator for repair and the message he sent me was, The rectifier was overheated and the rotor was open (this alternator design is very compact) I have everything broken down for a full rebuild other then the stator now. The stator is in perfect shape still and was never overworked. Just waiting on the parts to install them. So I don't know much on the process it takes to rebuild my alternator sui could someone she some light on this message he sent me.

I'm looking at possibly running three 4 ohm subs, which would give me a 1.34 ohm load (of course, you all know this already ). How much power would I lose if using an amp that does its power at 1 ohm?

Lately ive been thinking of different installs to get myself into considering i recently landed a decent job. Basically not sure how to hook up multiple amplifiers beyond the 2/3 pre amp outs on the HU. I understand most amps these days are linkable and that I understand.. but what if i want to go farther than that? Where does the signal come from? For example.. say i want to add a shit load of speakers to my door's which would need multiple amps.. how do i go about getting the signal to each amp beyond the front/rear outputs on the H.U? Or say i want to add a shitload of subs to the back which will require more than a couple amps.. arent linkable amps limited to (2) toge…

h, i am thinking of running a 980bt for my headunit and i want to use it to do an active set up and i was reading the manuel and i think i understand how to do it but i want to make sure. this is how i think it is: i need to have channels 1 and 2 used for the tweeter with a highpass set to whereever then use channel 3 and 4 for the midrange with a lowpass set just below the highpass. and i want to use 2 sets of speakers so i can just run an rca from the amp to the other amp. and sorry but this is my first time doing active and i want to make sure. also on the amp. Sax100.2 would i set x over on it to full? or is there a way to bypass it.
