okay, I got my Mach 5 15's and i love them. But until i get the money to get the Sundown amp, I need to figure out which amp I need to use in the mean time. So I have two amps, obviously. I just need to know which amp would be better off for me. I am looking for accurate punchy bass more than I am loudness. So please help me out and let me know which is better. Thanks Guys ~MadroX

i have 2 SAZ-3000D and the slave amp keeps going into protect mode.Its only at semi hi volumes, i checked the ground and all the other connections. They seem to be fine, not sure what it could be any ideas?

so I was just curious, as to the pros and cons of either amp... or what US amp would compare to a sundown, or if the even can be compared... I just keep hearing from a buddy, who seems to know more than me about car audio, that the old US stuff is hard to beat.

Hey guys, i've been getting an anoying screeching coming from my component speakers and a deep rumble coming from my sub when ever the car is running, the noise gets louder as the RPM increases. Also when ever you change songs or turn the deck on/off there is a poping sound. I've had my system in for about 3 months now and this JUST started a few days ago. I didn't have this problem at all until now. I have My RCA's run away from the power wires, I also have both amps grounded to the same location. I have an upgraded alt. to 180A (i know not much, but all I could get with my car) BIG 3 are done... 2 extra batts. in the trunk.... I wake up yesterday, and for the first time ever my battery light AND brake light are on, so I'm like wtf.... to coincidental, must be something stupid that needs to be re-set... I just went out there and tested my battery.. With car ON, it reads 12.35, car OFF 12.45....... I reved the engine with the car on and it went up like .2-.3 ANybody know what this indicates...whether it means bad battery, or bad Alt.....???? Battery is only 2 months old PLEASE HELP! looking for some comp amps that do 5-7kw @1ohm can only be a single amp not strapped amps. used for usaci 601 to 1800 class so the 4 ohm output needs to be 1800 or less. that or an amp with 4ohm under 600w capable of .5 ohm power around 4k thanks for the help

I have a Mustang which equals no trunk. I have 2 Audiofonic 12s in a ported box in my backseat. They are rated at 1200W max but we all know thats a lie. I am looking for a mono amp to power these until I find a 15 that will fit in the trunk. I have looked at kenwood KAC-X1R, hifonics 1608d, and a few others. My budget it 300 max. So working for Wal-Mart doesnt exactly leave you with a whole lot of money to spend on quality products, espicially when you are the only one working with a wife and kid. So anyway, my brother owns a towing business/ Car parts yard (aka junk yard) ... And he acquires many things. So he acquired one of those industrial sized Optima Yellow tops and a Regular Optima yellow top. I am building my system and a battery was my next step. He gave them both to me, and I was wondering if I should keep them or sell them and put in a large Powermaster or something??? Both are brand new, still in the plastic rappers

Would lets just say 1000 watts on 2 ohms be the same electrical strain as 1000 watts on 1 ohm?

i have a hk-802sx, i have 4 L7 15s D2 and can wire 2 Parallel/Parallel for .5ohms witch the amp can do 2200wrms x 2 or i can leave the current way all 4 wired Series/Parallel @ 1ohm. i was wanting to try it at .5ohms but b4 i take all the subs out and rewire i thought id ask and see what ppls thoughts on this, pros or cons???.. any input would be great.

I recently got a redtop from a friend. It had been sitting up for a good while and was reading 7 volts. So I put my charger on it @ 2amps for 3 days. Now the battery reads 14 volts when I take the charger off. All good right? But when I go to try it out and put it in my car, it wont crank it. So I let it charge some more, and same thing. Battery is fine until you put a load on it. Im assuming its bad, but I wanna make sure, so here this thread is. Hate to waste a battery like that.

hey guys im goin to be runnin a second batt in my trunk and let me get this right is this all i need wire wise stock batt+....fuse....+kinetik...fuse....distro...amp stock batt-.........-kinetik....amp and i will have a big 3 with a inline fuse form the alt to my stock batt all this being 1/0 thanks in advance

Does anyone have any experience with a Digital Audio DHC2154? My only concern is can it do 1000 true rms at 1 ohm. I know its not a great amp but my kicker 1200.1 was stolen and I am trying to work through college and dont have alot of extra right now. A guy on realm of excursion offered it to me for $150 shipped. Is it worth it?

Had one sitting around i picked up and been using since my kickers in for repairs.... Took her apart and looked around on amp guts. IDENTICAL to the 3000D BUT with the addition of fuses. Appears damn near 100% match. Ile take pics tommorow. For a cheap amp it has a ton of output power.

I've been running things off 1 alternator and 5 optimas for quite a while now, problem after problem kept delaying me getting my charging system right. About a month ago I finally got everything in, and just figured I'd say I'm very pleased. I ordered 3 alternators and a 4 alt bracket through Iraggi and was met with terrible customer service. He didn't respond to emails or calls for weeks on end. I finally got the alts in twice the time he promised (the only reason I went with him for alts) just to find he didn't send my bracket. Hey everyone, I need a distribution block that will input 1/0 gauge wire and output two 4 gauge wires and two 8 gauge wires. Or alternatively a distribution block that will input a 1/0 gauge wire and output three 4 gauge wires then another block that will input a 4 gauge wire and output two 8 gauge wires. But what I'm thinking, is just for a little more money I can get a second battery, hook the 1/0 gauge up to the positive post, then hook all the other wires up to the positive post without a need for the distribution blocks. I'd be spending just a little more money (the smallest powermaster battery on ebay is about $90..not sure if that'd even be beneficial) but I'd b…

I need some advice on how to tune my system. I've got the following...yes they are a bit old but in great condition. Alpine CDA-7844 SoundsStream Rubicon 404 and 702 amps MB Quart 6.5" components with MusiComp crossover MB Quart 2 ways with regular crossover for rear. The 404 is driving the mids/highs and the 702 is hooked up and ready for when I buy a sub. My question is how do I got about figuring out what to set the gains at? Also do I need to set the 404 to high pass and 702 to lowpass? If so, what frequency should I set them each at? The HU has a setting for the "bass control center frequency". Well my old battery went out on me cuz it was some crappy energizer battery and it was under full trade in warranty sooooo I pulled it out jumped in my dads lil 86 civic and rolled away got there and asked if I could upgrade the energizer for the optima at a discount.
