ok so i installed my optima up front... what kindda battery do you think i should get to back up the amp i have? (kicker zx2500.1) I was looking at at a powermaster D3100 but idk if that would be overkill or not =(

Hey everyone, I need a distribution block that will input 1/0 gauge wire and output two 4 gauge wires and two 8 gauge wires. Or alternatively a distribution block that will input a 1/0 gauge wire and output three 4 gauge wires then another block that will input a 4 gauge wire and output two 8 gauge wires. But what I'm thinking, is just for a little more money I can get a second battery, hook the 1/0 gauge up to the positive post, then hook all the other wires up to the positive post without a need for the distribution blocks. I've been running things off 1 alternator and 5 optimas for quite a while now, problem after problem kept delaying me getting my charging system right. About a month ago I finally got everything in, and just figured I'd say I'm very pleased. I ordered 3 alternators and a 4 alt bracket through Iraggi and was met with terrible customer service. He didn't respond to emails or calls for weeks on end. I finally got the alts in twice the time he promised (the only reason I went with him for alts) just to find he didn't send my bracket. Well my old battery went out on me cuz it was some crappy energizer battery and it was under full trade in warranty sooooo I pulled it out jumped in my dads lil 86 civic and rolled away got there and asked if I could upgrade the energizer for the optima at a discount. They told me I could get full value for the energizer applied to the optima yellowcap ($80) plus I got another $10 off because they price matched checker auto =). I'm getting ready to order 3 DEKA Intmidator cells from REMY through the ROE.com group buy... My question is....they have 100 Amps/Hour rating.....so 100x3 is 300 Amps/Hour on tap... Would that be enough to feed the 3000D's properly along with them being from what I read up on them(underrated) at 1000CCA's... and my Yellow-Top up front...all 0 gauge wiring, 2 runs of ground and power front to back....160Amp load boss alternator... Should this be enough to feed the amplifiers properly? I'm going with a wall and 2 15" subwoofers...undecided on the woofer as of now and I want to have enough voltage on tap...

ok so i originally planned on 2 hifinics 2608s but was advised against it.....so any recommendations. and price is a huge factor so the cheaper is nicer

I have bought 4 2608d's for my setup and I have several threads where people have said you can get better amps. The thing is you can always get better amps becuase some company will always make something better. I have been installing for 20 years and have seen almost everything from the begining and have fallen in love with many amps only to be let down by the company becuase they stop making something, it's the nature of the biz! anyway I will post actual test results of my setup and prove or disprove all theory's

...I have an 04 f150. im gonna have 2 hifonics 2608 brutus amps and 2 rockford fosgate p400.4 amps running. i currently have a yellowtop just running the car but i know im gonna need more. so how many more yellowtops should i get? or is there something better?

hey guys im goin to be runnin a second batt in my trunk and let me get this right is this all i need wire wise stock batt+....fuse....+kinetik...fuse....distro...amp stock batt-.........-kinetik....amp and i will have a big 3 with a inline fuse form the alt to my stock batt all this being 1/0 thanks in advance

Ok so i'm on my first active setup. I have a set of kicker RS6.5 comps. on a sundown SAX-100.4. When we hooked everthing up and tested it for the first time the tweets were working and the mids weren't. So i started unplugging RCAs, if i move around one set of RCAs then i get mids and highs out of only one side. I can even manage to get both tweets but not the passenger midbass to work. So first i thought maybe either RCAs or Bad input. Well turned out the midbass was grounding out. FIXED. Ok now i can't get bother left and right to work unless i run another set of RCAs from the output side to the input side. see pic..... So now i figure that i have a bad set …

I just got off the phone with Ohio Gen, for a 95 Honda Accord they are suggesting $525 + shipping for a 160amp (195peak amp) alternator. Is this a good price? And I got a quote from Dom for $400 +shipping for a 200amp alternator, but have heard many GOOD and many BAD stories about his alts. And I haven't had a call back from EA yet about a quote on an alt. hey guys, i can't seem to find anyone selling digital batter voltage displayers for car sound systems on ebay. it will be necessary for my car since i will be running stockk electrical for a while until i can buy a h/o alt or battery. does anyone know where i can pick one up for cheap? my buddy has one of the later model pioneer head units which works really well (the one with the big knob that controls everything), and i would totally buy it, the only problem is that i'm putting the sound system in a 98' bmw 328i and the blue headunit looks a bit cheesy with the dark orange lights bmw uses for the cluster and buttons...can anyone help me?

I need some advice on how to tune my system. I've got the following...yes they are a bit old but in great condition. Alpine CDA-7844 SoundsStream Rubicon 404 and 702 amps MB Quart 6.5" components with MusiComp crossover MB Quart 2 ways with regular crossover for rear. The 404 is driving the mids/highs and the 702 is hooked up and ready for when I buy a sub. My question is how do I got about figuring out what to set the gains at? Also do I need to set the 404 to high pass and 702 to lowpass? If so, what frequency should I set them each at? The HU has a setting for the "bass control center frequency". Ok, I have a MMATS DHCx 2200.1 hooked up to 4 single voicecoil kicker comp c12's 8 ohm each for a final load of 2 ohms. The amp is a mono channel. The problem is, sometimes when I get in the car and turn the radio on the amplifier goes strait into protect. You can still hear it playing at a very low wolume ie. 2 or 3 bars on the radio but if you turn it up any louder the sound fades away and sometimes I can turn it on and it plays fine. It usually doesn't do it unless the car has been sitting for a while. When it does this, the only way I've found to get it back playing correctly is to unhook the load from the amp turn the power off and turn it back on and reconnect t…

Hello all, well as I stated in my opening post I competed years ago in SPL and as I am building a new setup running four identical amps for my subs, I was curious what else there is to link them for good synchronization? Please do not debate with me or anyone about syncing either my post is only for the purposes of finding out what people are running to link there amps whether it be custom or store bought, I have used both. I have seen people using the maxx link from hifonics but I can't seem to find them as they must be discontinued???
