I have an 08 Jeep patriot that will most likely be seeing a Hybrid Audio Legatia L8/L1 pro combo up front and a single sub in the rear. I have been weighing my options and I am curious. I am going for a stealth install, so basically you will see the amp. I'll be using the factory 6 cd head-unit so my options are this amp, an h701/rux-c701 combo or a rockford fosgate 360.2. The sub section will be one 8" sub seeing 360 watts at 4 ohms. Which option would you go with if your goal was awesome sq from a stealth install using factory head-unit, factory mounting locations etc...

Audioque is already aware of this so while i wait for shipping delays, i wanna know if u guys can think of how this happened before i have to wait a week before they tell me. I have 2 AQ2200ds strapped together. The power light was always on on both amps so no reverse wiring there. They never went into protect. Voltage sitting at 13.5v Gain half way, subsonic all the way down, lpf at 110hz. Preout voltage 4v, preout maxed out on head unit, Sub output is turned on, bass is on +3 boosted at 80hz. Ok so I have done the Big 3. Have a jeep grand cherokee. Found out the alt stock is 110amps. I am running a 100.4 amp and an alpine mrd1005d. Looking to get a deep cycle battery up front and a bigger alt. Battery i have up there now is 11 long and 7.5 wide. I looked at the battery basket and measured 13 long. I was thinking a powermaster d3100 up front. Just am trying to brainstorm some ideas and figure out a few different product choices. Also the Sea tweeters sound very nice. Barely need any power to get loud which really surprised me. Almost got those Excel mids dialed in and the midrange clarity is def worth it.

I was wondering if the IA20.1 is underrated? Looking to get one to power my DD9515 d2 subwoofer. Also, does anyone have one they would like to sell?

i have two batteries and i have a fosgate 1500x1 i was wondering that if i ran just the two batteries would i be fine for a couple of months?

Hi, I was buying a pair of KnuKonceptz Krystals, but a few days ago I heard something bad about them. someone told that Knus were made by the same manufacturer of Stingers, but was a kind of second line. Is that true? Are they any good? What would you recommend to me instead of them? Ps.:My last ones were Monster XLN301. Thanks!

Hey I'm trying to build a system for my 2000 nissan pathfinder...and unfortunately it only has a 90 amp alt, and I don't want to buy a H.O. alt, so how much power can I safely run? I was planning on getting an Arc Audio 1500v1 XXK, which I didn't realize is a class A/B monoblock amp that puts out 1000 watts RMS...so i'm guessing it's not as efficient as a class D of the same power... soo i could do the big 3 upgrade...but is a 1000 watt class A/B monoblock not a good idea for a 90 amp stock alt? thanks for the help

I recently purchased a DXZ785usb to replace my panasonic CQ-C7203U with ipod connector. Here is a list of the problems I have run into. 1) The source unit doesn't recognize my ipod. Ipod is a bit older but software is up to date. So I am just going to sell the Ipod... bought an Iomega 120 ext HD and installed all my music on it. 2) USB off source unit isnt enough to power HD alone. I bought this all in one car charger with a USB port. HD runs and is recognized by the source unit. If you switch the source to CD/Tuner etc.. and jump back to USB/MTP the unit will have to completely read the HD before playing music again, I have 20 GB used atm and takes about 20-30 se…

Which amp would work best with 2 alpine type Rs 12". Either an alpine pdx 600 watt or alpine mrp m1000? and what ohm would you run it at 2 or 4?

Hello. I need help selecting an amp for a Cerwin Vega 12" Stoker. My budget is $500. I had my eyes set on a Hifonics XXV- Colossus. Supposedly it's rated 1x3200@ 2-Ohms, which sounds like more than enough to power a stroker efficiently, but after some reading in this forum, the brand now sounds like borderline garbage. I also hear that this speaker requires a very large custom box, or is that also a myth? I have a 99 Crown Vic, so space is no object. Is there anyone here that builds them, or online? If not can anyone help me with specs to take to a local audio shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i'm looking for a amp to power 2 fi bl 18s. well right now im looking at the audioque 2200 for 389 shipped and the audiopipe 3000d for 386 shipped. what other amps should i look at for bout $400? also i'm looking for a amp that has a warranty.

I currently have an Alpine 9843 HU in my car which is currently powering 4 Infinity 6022i's. I want to get two 12" BL subs and will be powering them with a sundown 1500d (will be getting a 2nd one when i get more money). I have about 400$ to spend on a new headunit, and would like to get a motorized DVD one, but if i can't get a decent one i'll just get a normal CD player. So, do you guys think i'll need a new HU, and if so any suggestions?

Hey, I was just looking for some input on which car battery I should purchase for my 2000 GMC safari van. I plan on running 2 18" Fi Q series off of 2 apline pdx 1000.1's also a alpine for my highs and mids. I have already purchased a xsatic 400 series batcat for the rear and wanted some help on picking a battery for up front to replace the stock one. I am running 0awg power and ground wire from the front battery to the rear also am planning on doing the BIG3 but dont really know how to upgrade the alt. wire to 0awg, anyhow i dont plan on upgrading the alt right away maybe down the road so I need a battery that can be ran off the stock alt. Would I fry the amp if I have the Big 3, stock alt, and a 2nd battery if I ran a saz-1500D at 1 ohm for daily?

Hey guys, been lurking for a while now (on CA.com, DIYMA and ROE more). I thought I registered but guess not. Anyway I bought this AX 5600 BNIB, I believe it is a 2006 model. Upon arrival I noticed that the Xovers were 50-500 for the sub channel, 50-500 for the "Front" 2ch and the "Rear" were able to be bandpassed from 50-500 and 200-5k. I have an Alpine CDA-9835 HU and CDT ES-6 mids and DRT-25 tweeters and a single 12" SS RL-p in a 2 cube box tuned to 32hz. I want to run the comps active off this amp. Now I'm stumped why the "Front" channel Xover is 50-500hz. Please tell me I have a fluke amp that has a typo and that really should be a say, 2000-20000hz HP filter....? Or…

so i got an iraggi alt about a month ago and the battery indicator light(on the dash) was on the whole time, it died on me after 5 days, so i sent it back to iraggi. i installed a stock alt, everything was perfect, the batt light wasn't on. then i got the replacement alt from iraggi, got it installed and now the batt light is on again. the voltage is about 14.2. upgraded big 3 is this normal? its for a 2000 ford explorer sport 4.0L SOHC 240/165amp Amputator series Iraggi Alternator Optima Yellowtop(under the hood) Kinetik hc2400

Just for background information: I use to have two 12 inch Cerwin Vega's (bought in '03, no idea was model) rated for 400w rms. They are 4 ohms, single voice coil. I have them in a sealed enclosure. It was not made to spec, but it was the closest premade box I could find to spec. I think each woofer wanted something like 2.1 ft^3 or something. Lastly, I bought a cheap amp..Boss Ripper 995. So I'm thinking of getting 2 mach 5 ixl15's and the sundown 1500. My question is with big 3 (0guage), kinetic hc800, and factory alt am I gonna toast my alt eventually? Unfortunatly the ixl's are only dual 2 ohm, I don't plan an pounding it all the time but would like a lil more spl occasionally. Cost is a factor to some degree, but would rather spend a little more and be safe if necessary. I've also considered the SSA Icons, but wonder if I would send enough power with the 1500. Either enclosure would be approx. 6-7cu. and ported to suggested spec. Thanks !

please post what are the best 2000watt amps @ 2ohms. looking for something thats consistant or under rated at 2000 watts. it will be used to run 2 10" ssa icons in a ported enclosure.

Im about to run 2 SS 12" subs and a 2000 watt amp( what kind undecided i would appreciate suggestions). I wanted to know if i should possible upgrade my alternator or any other kind of problem i might have to ensure the sound. I dislike the dimming of my lights and i never want to it happen again. Right now i have 3 Fi SSD's with a RF t1000.1BD and a T500.1BD powering them. I have a 200Amp Alt and one optima yellow top. I haven't installed the equipment yet, so i don't know if it will dim. I have 2 electrical fans that drop my volt gauge from 14.5 to 13.5 and when i have my lights on theres no volt drop at all. Considering the fans draw 20-30 amps each, that isn't that bad. I have the Big 3 upgraded with 0/1 awg. Grounds from my frame to battery, body to battery, block to frame, and frame to cab. I have a G190 and wonder how clean it is, I replaced amp and drivers when I dropped it in so could not compare much. I had a nak and it was really clean. Just wondering if I should swap it out as I can not get the new HU I want yet. Parametric on this alpine works nice. My highs are lacking and I think it is the amp, but wanted to ask what luck others had running one of these. I went to this for the fader and parametric it has, and still can do all my crossovers and gains from driver seat.
