Just curious if the Atomic 5000.1 can do .5 ohms daily with the proper electrical and how much power it will put out at 13-14volts..

hi there, im using a single sub, an RE MT15, and im looking for review and opinions on which amp to use, i focused my eyes on two amplifiers, thE SUNDOWN SAZ-3000D and the SOLID AUDIO F2500D which would be better, in terms of power efficiency (if it takes less stress on the alternator and is not a power hogger), internals (would it be strong enough to handle the heat and be long lasting) and performance (if it would perform in hot climates, bring perfect power output not like other amps i know which are overrated). basing on these two amps, i want to have the best amp to use on my RE MT15. btw my ride is a 95' mitsubishi mighty max double cab (mitsu L200 pickup double ca…

Hello SSA members. I just recently installed my system into my new car. Running a 15" FIQ off a zx1500.1 @ 4ohms. I ran this same setup for about a year now, only difference is I upgraded my wiring, 4 gauge to 0 gauge. My amp gets really hot, FAST. Bass boost and all sub levels set to 0, and I don't run my gains high at all, 1/2 way at the absolute most. My amp has gotten hot before, but not the hot and especially not this fast. Does anyone have a clue to what the problem may be? If there's any other info that you may need, feel free to ask. Thanks.

now i know how to mod the MTX 81000D, but i was wondering if anyone knew, to mod the 1000D to run @ 1 ohm, is it the same as to mod the 81000D?

ok I have 1994 gmc serria 2 wheel drive I need to know if I can fit a 2 din dvd player in there. It already ghas a cd player in it I just need to knwo if I can fut a 2 din player in it.

basically i just wanna no all the wires i will need for my system consisting of 2 subs, 2 amps, components, and a big 3 upgrade. what i have listed is: 1/0 knukonceptz power/ground for the amps to the battery and the big 3 upgrade. 10 gauge speaker wire for the amp to the speakers. 1 question i have about the speakers is do i hook up the crossover to the amp then the crossover to the speaker? and all with speaker wire? also do i use RCA cables or speaker wire to connect the sub to the amp? and finally do i use RCA cables to go from the amps to the head unit? if i got anything wrong please tell me. any help is appreciated!! thanks!

Is the JL Audio A4300 amp a good match with 4 Infinity Reference 6822cf speakers? I got the speakers for free and just wanted a good cheap amp to power them to their full potential. Also is there something else you would recommend for these speakers instead? So I think I have decided on getting a Q for the new system - either a sealed 15 or a ported 12. I am looking for something to power it now. Really what I wanted to do was a Sundown SAZ-1500D for the sub and a 100.2 for the front stage. However, now were talking around 220 amps to run off my 130 amp alternator. This is just a daily driver so if I can get away with it, I don't really want to get an HO alt. So I am open to suggestions on amps to get? You think I could get away with those two amps without an HO alt? Or should I be realistic and tone it down a bit?

Everything was working perfectly til yesturday when I took out my batterys ground and added another ground wire, when I turned the car back on my voltage gauge and both amps powered up but the HU didn't light up at all and started beeping really fast for the first few seconds then stopped, I hit the reset button on the HU and now nothing powers up (HU, amps, voltage gauge)...I checked both fuses on the amp (1 fuse on red power wire, 1 glass fuse on yellow "back up" wire) both were replaced and I've checked the necessary fuses in the interior fuse box with no luck... Hey all. I just bought a 1993 Ford Tbird Super Coupe and the tape deck isn't going to cut it. I want a cd player that I can go active with. I was looking at the Eclipse 3200, I'm not sure if that's a good choice. I trust that you guys can help me out. Budget: No more than 300. Listening Preferences: Classic and modern rock. Just wondering, when connecting from engine block to chassis ground, can I mount from the air compressor bolt to chassis ground? the air compressor is all metal, so i assume its grounded, since it lays on top of the engine. thanks in advance

I am looking for a new head unit for my friend who doesn't have much experience with audio. He has an 01 Dodge Ram Regular Cab...bone stock audio system. He has a budget of about $250. He is planning on eventually putting new speakers as well as maybe a 10 ported if he can fit it. Anyways...I was looking at the Pioneer DEH-P9400BH as it has 4V RCA Preouts and all the goodies like HD Radio Tuner, Bluetooth, Pandora etc...but anyways I thought I would get some advice from other more experienced people...any suggestions?

i have a Kicker KQ5 i picked up for 50 bux. i had it posted for sale, 2 people are interested, but i think i wanna keep it now becuase its black, and lights up green or amber, and amber lights match my interior perfect. i was gonna get the clarion 7 band one i think it was for like 80 new, but it only lights up blue which would be the only blue, and stand out horribly. my amps im getting (MTX) will even light up amber to match! (my nakamichi cd-400 does too) any other EQ's that have amber lighting?

I'm going to install two amps one is mono and the other is a 4 channel for my mids and highs. I already have the power, ground, and rem wire, but the only thing is how can i get two rca's if my headunit only has one connection?
