Here is my problem. I know the out put values on the amp @ 2ohm(115wrms) and 4ohm(75wrms),what I don't know is the output @ 3ohm which is waht my comps are. Should I assume a midpoint? And effectivly gain down to say 85w(100wrms 3ways and 90wrms 2ways)meaning figure voltage for 85w @ 3ohms and set accordingly. Or do I just need to get an o-scope and do it on a bench?

Soo what is a good idle amperage for the alternator to have? I've been doin alot of searchin and research, but never really found the answer to this question. I've seen 200a alts that only put out 60-100a at idle. I've also seen 200a alts that put out 100+ at idle. what is a good rating? i know u can get a smaller pulley to make the alt spin faster.\ Just curious because i see a 200a alt i like for 179$ and it does 95a at idle. thats more than i have now cuz i ony have a 95a alt, lol P.s. My transmission went out, secong one in there, plus a new engine. But the alt on a town car and navigator are the same so no worries

  5. I drive a 08 mazda 6i sedan, non bose. I have a LOC with 2 pairs of rcas (front/rear). Right now I have a 2-channel amp for the front 2 speakers on the front rcas, and a monoblock for my sub on the back. Well I purchased a 4 channel amp, and 2 bass shakers (one for under eachseat up front). What I was planning on doing, is switching my 2 channel amp for the 4 channel, so all 4 speakers would be on the 4 channel amp, and the 2 channel with the bass shakers. The monoblock will be untouched, if it doesnt need to be. Do I need to just use rca splitters, or could I just run the 4 channel off the front RCA, and use the rca output of the monoblock to feed the 2 channel? Im afr…

What do you guys think of this battery? Any reason it shouldn't perform as well as the DieHard 31m, or JuiceBox Black Cherry? It has same rating of 110ah at 20hrs. http://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracell-agm-deep-cycle-marine-and-rv-battery-group-size-31dtmagm/prod3590232.ip?sprodId=prod3590232&selectedTab=allProducts&_requestid=50474 This Duracell is currently $179 at Sams with core exchange. Sears has become way to proud of their 31m recently @ $310. The Black Cherry is currently $240 shipped. http://juiceboxbattery.com/product/juicebox-black-cherry-group-31-agm-110ah/

I have a sony gt620ip (not the best but its what i have). Now the question is... Will my front speakers get more power from the h/u if i disconnect the back two speakers?

Howdy, I've ordered 1 fully loaded BTL12, Dual 1 ohm for daily use. I was eyeballing a Soundstream XXX 4000D to power the thing. In talking to an installer, they have suggested that the amp wouldn't work efficiently with the BTL Sub. They are currently trying to sell me on securing two 2000D's from soundstream and running one sub per voice coil. Looking around, this doesn't seem to be the best course of action eitehr. Any thoughts? This install will be in a 2009 Dodge Challenger RT. I'll be going with an Eclipse Navigation head unit. Stock stereo is the six speaker Boston Acoustics setup with a 270 watt amp for mids and highs.

ok, for setting gains with the DMM method, do i use 0dB tones, or can i get away with using, say -6dB or -3dB tones? I've heard recommendations for using as much as -6dB tone (that seems a little much to me) so i guess what I'm asking is how loud does most music get? does it regularly hit 0dB, or more like -3, -6, etc?

  15. I may need to order some wire specifically for tight areas soon. If i do, has anyone actually used both of these before? I know Kolossus Flex is so flexible it feels like there is no wire in the jacket... But i do not know how flexible they have made the 4/0 in RE... My runs would need to do an "S" in about a 6" range.

I've tried searching around the forums for this but its a bit hard due to the size of all the words associated. So I plan on doing the BIG 3 in the next few days and I have my 0 Gauge wires, terminals, and fuse holder only thing left for me to do is get the fuse. On 02 Laredos the stock alternator has an output of 136 Amps, On other forums people recommended a 300 AMP Fuse but wouldn't this render the fuse useless as being such a high overall amp compared to the alt it wouldn't do its job and blow? But at the same time I'm questioning if I should even get a fuse as you can see in the picture below my battery and alternator are nearly touching. In short, What size fuse if a…

Hey guys I would be wiring up my 4 channel amp, and have a few questions. (1) I have read that the power wire should go one side of the car and speaker wire (rca) should go on the other side. Should the remote wire go on the side of the power wire or on the side with the speaker wire? (2) I am using 2 ch bridged for my sub, and the other 2 ch ( built in crossover on amp), for a pair of mids and tweeter. what frequency should I set it to? (3) The HU has 3 pairs of 4 volt rca pre output, should I use these or the the wires from the hu haness to feed the amp or a combination of both? , I have rear speakers which can also be included, what would be the best setup? Thanks.

Ok, so iv been looking at power capabilities of wire sizes and im only running 4 gauge to the back of of my trunk. Now according to 12volt, with the length of the wire it will only be able to take around 600 watts rms of power. Would running my amplifier at 1 ohm, 1500 wrms, stress/overheat the wire? If this is true, maybe ill just run my amp at 4 ohms, (375 wrms) until i can run some 0 or 2 gauge wire once i buy it.

They used to be for sale on ebay for around $120 but now the only site i can find it for sale on is woofersetc and it's like over 300 bucks. So if you guys could find any legit sites with this amp for sale please let me know. Thanks

Okay so maybe this is a stupid question just because the amount of power should be fairly close to one another. But I have 2, 15in zcon d2. And im going to buy a new amp, next week. I was thinking of cresendo 5500 and running it at .5 ohms like i am now. But somebody local to me is selling 2 svc 3000. If i strap them ill be doing 6k at 2 ohms. Or my origin plan of crezenxo amp which is rated for 5850 @1ohm. Since im running that at .5ohms not, sure how much ill actually be getting theres no spec on .5 ohm. So my question is which way would be better or does it not matter since theyll be pretty, close? Is this just going to be what brand i choose to run or is there more pro…
