I plugged in my moto rokr on my head unit (pioneer 5100ub) & the unit started saying "check usb" now it keeps saying that for all my usb drives. I read the manual & it says that the device had a short circuit or something. Anyone ever had this problem before? How do I fix it.

I was talking to guy at the local shop and he got me thinking about pre-amp voltage and line drivers. I have a Pioneer 3200DVD with 4v pre amp outputs. He told me that a line driver would boost that voltage and make a night and day difference to my system. If someone could tell me how they work, and what it would benefit to me if I got one. Head Unit is stated above and the amp is a saz-2500d. He exclaimed it was needed, I don't think it is. He may of been trying to make a sale. Thanks in Advance!

Hey guys, Ive searched and searched for threads and information regarding how to strap your amps and how to wire the sub appropriate but nothing is very clear and I dont want a mistake on my hands... so heres what I have going on, I am strapping two APSM-1500s with a dual 2 ohm sub. how do i need do i need to run speaker wire between the amps? and should I wire my subwoofer down to 4 ohm if Im trying to get a 2 ohm load from the amps? I appreciate the help

As per title lads, I have a full range RCA going into the H650 but I reckon it could sound alot better than it does Any suggestions dudes?? Is there a setting i must change on the HU to get the better response out of the Processor?? Thanks in advance dudes quinny

Hey everyone, just a simple and quick question. Is there any real difference in the two types of fuses other than the fact ANL typically has a higher current rating on it? I was wanting to use a 120A AGU fuse for my setup since the max draw of my amp is 120A, but I just wanted to know if there is any real difference between the two. Thanks!

Finally got my BTL 18" reconed!!! only have a hifonics 1600 watt pushing it but when i try to blast it the amp cuts off because its ran at .75 ohms. but anyways, just wonderin if anyone has a american bass 150.1 for sale.....

Alright so i was fooling around with the options in my headunit and i found something thats called BBE. I looked it up and its a type of processor i think, anyways, i turned it on and everything sounded WAY better, not only louder, but crisper and the midbass also sounded alot better. The ONLY downside i see to this setting so far is that it shuts off at 22/35. Im speachless.

Hello there! I have been looking for a new head unit for over a year now. Im picky tho. I want a good one (of course) double-din,am/fm, cd, usb all that stuff. Rear rca's and all, I want to be able to change the light colors. Ive spent a good bit of money matching all my interior lights and i dont want the head unit to be different. I also want a remote. Ive had good experiences with clarion in the past, but the guy at the local audio store says clarions quality has gone down a lot. Ive been looking at some jvc's, but im not sure there quality is any better now then it was a few years ago. Im trying to stay in the $200 range. Any suggestions? P.S. I dont care for flip out…

Amps that have a clip light ie sundown is that light accurate? What's safe a small flash a little fast fashing solid red? Gain was check with a oscope and a dd1 in the past.. Still clip light comes on

ok so the more and more i keep reading how amps have this now and how you need it if you have a ported box.....which is what i have and i know that my sub amp now DOESNT have one so my question is am i losing bass or quality or anything like that by not having the SSF???

So I have been given two fairly new amplifiers that have been treated poorly. My brother asked me awhile back to install stereo equipment in his car. So I did. I set the gains with a DMM and everything was fine. Well my brother decided that he wasnt get the output he wanted...I'm guessing. And turn the gains WAYYYYY up. Long story short I have two amps that arent in protection mode but I dont get any power from the speaker outs on the amp. One isnt really worth messing with but the other I would like to save. Is 1000 watts on 1 ohm too much for 2 yellowtops, big 3, and an 80 amp alternator?

hey firstly im new here so hello everyone as the title states i have a problem firstly my set up 0guage from batt to 80a fuse to 10a fuse to head unit and a 2guage to a distro block powering 3 amps (through 4 guage wire) 1 4 channel and 2 2 channels then 4 guage to another distro then 2guage to a hole that used to house a clip for the trim in the side of the boot (metal is thin, maybe this is the problem?). the remote from the HU goes into a 2 channel then piggybacks from there to the other 2 amps. I have a question can you send an alternator away to get built so it will put out more amps or is that something you could do at home with like a kit or would i just be better off buying a new bigger one? let me know what you all know/ think. Thanks!

Ok guys i got my saz 3000 order in just waitin on new ones to come in and i've ordered a 18 btl what i'm wondering is will the 220amp "Dominator" Series Iraggi Alternator be enough with a extra batt and if i deceide to go with another saz 3000 would it still be ok thanks for any help ahead of time.
