I thought about using the Batcap 8400 because it would save weight over conventional batteries. It weighs 70 lbs vs several hundred lbs for yellowtops. Its capable of 8400 amps @16V and up to 9600 amps@12V. Anyone have experience with these and how they compare to batteries? Any issues w/these things?

Hey so I was browsing woofersetc today and I came across this Clarion VZ400 Looks pretty nice for less than $400. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find a review. Anyone tried one of these or used a clarion head unit and know how they do? Looks like a steal to me so I'm just looking for second opinions.

Anyone use either of these to intigrate a system to their factory HU. I have a new truck (2004 FX4) and want to keep the factory indash 6 disk cd player but want to install my Arsenal 10 CDT comp set and ppi amps. I just don't think that the factory bass treble is going to cut it for tuning though. Any thoughts (hopefully from others with a similar situation) thanx in advance

I'm currently using a RF T600-4 to run my RF T1652-S door and rear deck speakers. I've started to notice when turning on my radio after the car has set for a while the front left speaker doesn't turn on until I turn the volume up a bit. Once it kicks on I can run forever at low or high volumes without it cutting out. Just wondering if anyone knows the internals in a amp that could cause this.

So, I bought 2 hawker 2v cells to run a 16v tap. I thought i had a problem with that setup and found out it was ok. Someone said it was a bad idea and said i should purchase a 3 post kinetik hc16v(brand new). Thought to myself that id be on the safe side if i went ahead and did it. Called kinetik personally and talk to Jon( I believe) and made sure everything was properly installed and according to my Blue Point Dmm everything was like he said. Well, let me tell u what..... The hc16v setup with the EA alt on 19.1v to the 16v side and with a digital meter with about 3 weeks of driving, the battery dies completely. Got pissed and ran my 2 2v cells now for more mile…

looking to put a clean sounding (sq) system in a nissan senta. I do not want to upgrade the alternator. Any on a amplifier suggestions in the $500 range. if it costs a little more that is fine also.

I'm looking to purchase 18 batteries for a build. Kinetik offered me an awesome deal that's hard to pass up. My problem is that I have heard bad things about these batteries. Do you guys think if I properly maintain them I would get better results from them vs the guys that had issues?

I'm kinda debating whether I should go with a Rockford Fosgate 2500-1bd for my 2 Fi Bl 18"s or should get 2 Rockford 1500-1bd what you guys think? Can the 2500 have enough power for them 18"s or will I have to buy 2 1500??

Recently my sub hasn't been giving me the same output as usual. I figured it was because of the cold but the output never really changed once it warmed up. So idk whats wrong but basically its at half the volume it used to be. I thought maybe I messed something up on the sub itself but the voice coil wasn't burnt, and there there was no mechanical noise. Basically everything looked fine. I checked the rcas and they were fine, so was all the other wiring. I redid everything on the amp just in case. The wiring on the sub was fine because I haven't touched it in months. well guys i just purchase a used amp kicker amp by the way. i realize on the birth sheet it says 2800 rms its a kicker KX2500.1 but it has a little sticker on the name of it and i can see in the back it says kx600.1 but thats my question colud kicker miss up on paper and just a sticker to it or the one who sold it to me made a copy and just stick a paper saying kx2500.1. so how can a meassure if its true? ok heres the thing im putting in a center console with a tape player in my s-10. i removed the tape player so i can put my bass knob and a toggle switch where it should be. im gonna have plexiglass fill the hole and i wanna put a green led behind it and wire it to the hvac or anywhere in there so it comes on when the lights are on can anyone help me with this on any part. how to put the led back there so it lights the plexiglass and wire it so it comes on with the lights. its a 2002 s-10 xtreme,

Anybody using/have used this xover? Pros, cons, noise issues? As a now I'm running an Audio Control DQXS to cross my bass mids and tweets. My plan is to add the HK3X into the mix to bandpass the midbass and continue to let the DQXS handle the subs midrange and tweets.

Okay I have the stetsom 5k2e and it only has one rca input.. My radio offers two. I took a y splitter from the radio and came out to one wire for my rca to the back. When I plugged it in there was no sound from my amp. Now here is the kicker I took the 4 channel rca that is going to the rear and plugged it into the stetsom and boom it worked. So my question is how do I test my rca wire to make sure it is getting power I have my dmm but dont want to F nothin up. So please help if you can! Thnx ahead of time!

What do you use to islolate the front & rear battery??? ...should I use a battery isolator; or, will a high power relay work ok?

Hey all. I just bought a 1993 Ford Tbird Super Coupe and the tape deck isn't going to cut it. I want a cd player that I can go active with. I was looking at the Eclipse 3200, I'm not sure if that's a good choice. I trust that you guys can help me out. Budget: No more than 300. Listening Preferences: Classic and modern rock. I have my install next wednesday, and the problem is...I only have 1 d3100...and the place that I ordered the 2nd one called me and said that they shipped my 2nd one out...but then they called me back and said that they were sold out of the d3100, so they offered to substitute a d2700, my question is....can I install both of these batteries together for my xtra batteries in the back of my car...or is it wrong to connect 2 different model batteries together???????? damn im bummed right now Thanks everyone for the help Freddy

Heres the deal. Ive got a 08 explorer and in this thing is a huge ass nav screen. I want an aftermarket HU (pioneer type) obvioulsy for the EQ options, . I thought of tearing out the nav screen and replacing it with the aftermarket, but, most pioneers (moderately priced up 500$) are single din. Which in turn would leave me with an ass ton of space. Two questions/two scenarios. 1.) If i were to rip out the nav screen is there anything i could get to take up the extra space. Ive looked for adapters and such, but, nothin.2.) If i were to keep the nav screen in and mount my HU somewhere else, how would i wire them so both are functioning? I would like them functioning conside…

What are some good 16v batts I can get to run my soundstream xxx10000 off of(10,000w rms @ 1 ohm, wanna get the most I can outta this amp...and that rating is at 16v...)? I know a guy selling 4 turbostart s16va's for 400 shipped, and he said he installed them but never used them, so they're basically like new. What other brands are out there? Interstate? Powermaster? Kinetic? Should I get a bunch of 8v's and wire them to make 16v? Also if I do buy those 4 turbostarts, will that be enough for my amp, or will I need more?
