I recently swapped out my Pioneer DEH-P5900iB for an Alpine IDA-X001. I absolutely love the usability of the unit, but it lacks the equalizer features of the Pioneer. I'm considering getting either an AudioControl EQL or MA MA15EQX for my front stage. It would be mounted on my sub box, not a dash model. Any recommendations? Thanks, -fp

was installing my new to me sundown sae1200v1 i waned to set the gains with a dmm ..went to tighten down the screws and the dam bit fell out and arched the terminals it sparked everything shut off ..then came back on speakers make a weird hissing sound sub did work so i swapped the speaker amp for another hissing stopped but now the sub works then it dont not getting any reading with a dmm on the rca's

I checked my battery, nothing is touching + and - I checked the amp, the power wire and ground fit nice and snug with no loose strands The amp worked last night......all i did was unhook wires, move it to the trunk and hook the wires back up....I'm at a loss The only thing i can think of is its somehow shorted in the amp, but i didn't shake, tip, etc. since last night...i don't think the power wire is cut since i turned the car on and the fuse in the engine bay is fine. I have an AQ1200D and two SDC2.5 subs by the way.

I currently have an Alpine 9843 HU in my car which is currently powering 4 Infinity 6022i's. I want to get two 12" BL subs and will be powering them with a sundown 1500d (will be getting a 2nd one when i get more money). I have about 400$ to spend on a new headunit, and would like to get a motorized DVD one, but if i can't get a decent one i'll just get a normal CD player. So, do you guys think i'll need a new HU, and if so any suggestions?

Hey guys. I just finished my system and I used a digital distribution block. This one: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KNF-22D It stays on (Displays voltage), even when the car is off. I thought it would have had an automatic shut off, but I guess since it's directly connected to the battery it stays on? Can anyone confirm. Just seems weird..

alright, i got 2 kinetik 1800s. I was originally just going to take out the stock battery and put one under the hood and the other in the back. But i just want to ask a few more knowledgeable people first, should i just leave the stock battery under my hood in the tundra and put both kinetiks in the back? thanks

I was wondering if I should get an outside crossover and eq or combination of them for my truck, I am using the active crossover on my H/U clarion dxz-785usb, it has Digital time alignment on it and 18 db slope 3 way crossover in the deck. I am running my front channel to my tweets @ 3500 hz then running my dual 5.25 in the door of the rear channel ran @ 90hz and up then sub channel @ 90hz and below Would I improve my SQ buy adding and eq/crossover to the mix or is the head unit alone good enough. It sounds good now, just wish I had a little more control over the freq.

So I need to buy a battery for my 2012 Fusion. I wanted to buy the XS XP3000 but I came across these batts on ****. I can get 2 of these for the price of 1 XP3000. Which would you guys choose? The Discovers are 2.5 years old they say but are in excellent working order. I have a 150A alt in it already. ok so i was still looking at buying a sub amp and i started talking to this guy that said he has a audiobahn A18001DT brand new in the box that he will sell me for $200....does that sound like a pretty good deal?,it sounds like one to me i just dont know alot about that amp.i know this amp retailed pretty high and everything but i wanted you guys opinion on this before i do it.

Should i change my mosconi gladen one 120.4 amp for 2 mosconi pico 2 please advice, my main concern is overheating of this pico 2 since i dont have information about that small little thing i do plan to listen lots of hours of music in my car when i am travelling and this pico 2 doesnt have any fan or any heat dissapation at all , i consider changing my mosconi gladen 120w x 4 to two mosconi pico 2 i will save space that way and since my speakers are rated at 75w i dont need 120w power. If someone ever used pico 2 tell me is it overheating is it suffers from any problems...

ok so i bought some 0 gauge welding wire for my amp. can i just ground my batt. to the chassis and engine then ground my amp to the chassis? this probably sounds stupid but i dont wanna fuck up

To my friend for 270.. he said he will take it off my hands... i don't really know if i should it . i have to take it all out again... and then go back to my 250.2rf.... and then wait another week if i get another aq1200d for 250... or maybe i can get a custom box from audible customs.....I currently have a prefab:( so what should i do???

Ok here is the deal, I have a 08zx750.1 mono kicker amp & unfortunately I sent it out to kicker because I was having problems with my amp cutting off and on, when I turned up my music @ high volume. so kicker repair center diagnosed it and told me that the pcb board was cracked so he gave me a deal of 2010 ZX 750.1 Brand New with 2 year manufacturer warranty for the price of $209.00 or to return my original amp back to me. I was wanting your in-put whether I should get that deal for that brand new 2010 Amp for $209.00 or should I just invest my money on another amp? The set up I have is a 12' inch L7 Kicker dvc 4ohm & I will not be upgrading to add more subwoofers…

Side notes: For now I will have one amp on 2 ZCON 18"s at .5 ohm. Then get a second of either and have each at 1 ohm daily, and .25 for shows and such.

Would it be better to install a kinetik HC 1400 and replace my original battery or could i just add a smaller kinetik like the HC 600 and have my original battery and the kenetik. im on a budget and it would be a lesser dent in my pockets if i had the smaller kinetik also will my stock alternator be able to handle either one. or do i have to upgrade that too? im getting the hifonics brz1700.1d amp and i dont want any voltage drops, cause it already drops with a sony xplod amp

do two runs of 1/0 awg 1 for ground and 1 for power or just ground to my chasis? i dont plan on running a ton of power. around 2000rms total. i do plan on adding a couple batteries though. i already have a run of hyperflex for power and picking up another 24ft in a few hours. i know running the ground to the batt has less reistance than a chasis ground but would i really notice anyhing between the two with such little power? if i dont do another run i can do my big 3 today, but i would rather do two runs while my car is apart than doing 1 run and big 3 and come back and tear everything apart again.

is it better to use only the amp's gain to adjust output (up to the clipping point), or use minimal gain settings and set the bass eq on the hu high? I'm thinking it would be better to just use the amp b/ you dont want the hu sending an already clipped signal?

Well, I'm going to be running a AQ2200D (as some of you may know) to power a IA DP 21". Now I'm having some worries about my electrical system. These are my plans: STOCK ALT. It's a 150A Bosch alt. (Possibly 130A, but I'm pretty sure 150.) either 1/0 or 2/0 wiring all the way around. Positive & negative run to the front. (I know bigger is better, but do I need 2/0?) (1) Deka 9A31 in the rear. (Would go PM, but that's out of my budget. Plus, I can't justify spending that much on a single battery when I can get two Dekas for the same price, even though the PMs are better.) That's my starting plans. If this does not work out, I'm going to throw another Deka 9A31 …

I just saw a post from xspower and one of the questions answered was it's ability to be used as a starting battery. I want to pick up a shuriken to replace my starting battery and was just wonderin if anyone uses them as a starting batt or if they are able to be used as one. I've read they are similar to kinetiks and saw those being used as starting batts. thanks.

Has anyone had any experience with Shruiken AGM batteries? Can they be used as main battery replacement? Or are they just for auxiliary use only for audio?

So pretty much what the title says. Looking to buy a battery to run a SAZ-3000d. Already ordered a 260 HO alt from Iraggi. Mainly im looking for a comparison between the Shuriken and the Kinetik. which would you buy? prices are close enough for that to not be a factor. Both are 2600 amps which is why im comparing them!! in your opinion whick is a better batt for every day use. i have been thinking about 3 SHURiKEN 140ah batts, but how do they compare to XS Power D3100's? i want something powerfull as hell and very durable for longevity. i know how they look on paper, but how do they perform in the real world
