ok im a little said im some where in the range of 13.9 14.2while my car is running. and im 12.3 with the car off. i wanna be higher.. what must i do. 200 amp h/o alt 3 yellow tops. big 3 1 run of 0 gauge 3x300 amp circut breaker

ive been looking at this a while back ago for a 15"btl and i found it everywhere, but i started to get intrested in it again but all web sites ive been to says its discountinued?? is there a particular reason why?? the only spot i found this amp on was wooferetc.com and dident say anything about being discountinued by the way im not really new to this board, i had to make a new account cuz i forgot my old password and username after i got my new computer..

Amp: 1200x1 at 2 ohms Subs: 2 DVC 4 ohms subs wired to 1 ohm I'm using a DMM to set the gains and my guestion is: Do I set the gains using the formula volts = SqRt of(1200 x 1) or volts = Sq Rt of (1200 x 2) The difference is 34.6 volts for the 1200 watts at 1 ohm and 48.9 volts for the 1200 watts at 2 ohms

I'm going to buy my gf some components because the speakers in her car sound really crappy and bugs the hell out of me. I need some suggestions on some good sounding 4 channel amplifiers that can be purchased for less than 300. Can either be a authorized dealer or ebay. Any help would be appreciated.

any difference between the two? voice coils parallel/speakers series or voice coils series/speakers parallel? (2dvc4ohm subs to a 4ohm load) Thanks

ok well i had a 130 amp high output alternator in my car, but it would whine every time i turn the car on for about 5 mins on n off depending on the electrical drain. so i reinstall the stock alternator, ( if someone knows what a stock 96 accord ex 2.2L alternator amp rating is tell me) there is no whine now which means there is no straining at idle. i no that the high ouput alternator i got is 130 amps at 1200 rpm, n prolly lower than stock at idle, but now with the stock alternator in, the lights dim bad, i can definitely tell. before with the High output alternator i didnt see much of my lights dimming. i do have a 1 farah cap in the trunk. now i was wondering because …

I was looking for a 1000 watts RMS amplifier at either 2 or 1 ohm... I am gonna put it to a 12" Fi SSD... Also, how much of a difference in sound will there be between 750rms and 1000rms? I was looking at a zx1000.1 but was wondering if there is anything as good for cheaper... I figured if i got it at 1 ohm it would be cheaper for the wattage vs. 2 ohm 1000 watts...

I have scoured the internet last week and found nothing that can do this for real... I only found one amp, can't remember the amp but definitely could not do 200w x 4 @4ohm with a 60A fuse... I am trying to find an amp that can do 200w x 4 @4ohm so i do not have to get 2 amps that can do 200wx2 @ 4ohm. It's a space issue. Anybody know of such? And i do not plan on getting the 15K rockford amp.

right now i have a cheap h/u in. i am willing to spend about $400 for a h/u. who makes the best h/u for basic sub setups.

I need to find out if i will need the big 3 or not with my setup. Here is what i have 1 12" kicker L7 750watts rms 2ohm dvc and am going to be purchasing a JBL GTO 1201.1 787watts at 4ohms. My car is a 95 ram 1500 and i think the alternator is 120amps will i need the big 3? information on the amp there are 3 40amp fuses so 120 amps is the most the amp will pull i was told just put that there maybe it will help you guys. I have a samll problem and maybe someone here knows what is happening. I have a line driver on my amps so here it goes. I turned the gains on the LD up to about 1/2 way. I then proceeded to set the gains on the amps using a DMM and 50hz test tone to volume level 26 on my HU. Everything was good until I played music. It doesn't seem to matter which song I play. When I get to about 22-24 (depends on song) the sub amp cuts off. It's not in protect mode it just turns off entirely. My door/dash speakers warble, then go to producing a clicking noise. If I turn the car off and let it sit for a couple minutes, everything works fine when I turn it back on. Keep in mind t…

I'm trying to bring the shine back to my old SS class a amps. I've started on a few fins using eagle one nevr-dull. It comes out nice but takes forever to clean up. Anyone here have a good suggestions for cleaning up aluminum?

As the title say's i am going to pick up a alpine head unit.I took apart the dash in the car as i have never installed a radio before i was lookin to see what i was gettting into.Looks like it is going to be pretty easy exept for the end result.The molding i have now is for the stock radio with knobs , i would like to keep it.Any ideas on how i can mod the current set up to work with the new set up or buy some kind of aftermarket piece that looks the same?Pictures below. 1. 3.

Are these amps much good, for the price? Does anyone know if the 1Kw class D puts out actual and how about strapped? The guts don't look that bad inside, and I don't think they sold these at walmart.

what is the best way to set ur amps using lpf, hpf and your subsonic filer. what is the purpose of lpf and hpf. the box that i am using is sealed. the subs that i am running are kicker cvx's (1000 watt rms) and i am using hifoinics amps (2000 watt rms, i know they really rnt) and i run my subs at 1 ohm.

got a few questions about the system im putting together, and im still kinda new to this hobby so bear with me =] I got the alpine DVA-9861 to replace my old CDA-9815.. i had some technical issues with the 9815 (pos from carstereo.com) but other then it being broken i loved the features ie) x-over, lpf, hpf, time alignment, parametric eq [even tho it was confusing as helll]... so i figured id just get a new one but i wanted one that could play DVDs so i could have more MP3s on a disc. for some reason i thought that using an ipod wouldnt give me 4v preout, which is why i wanted the mp3s on a disc.. anyway i went ahead and glanced over the specs on the 9861 and everything l…
