yep..we have one at the shop..lol.. here's a link at crutchfield anyway, in person, this thing looks sweet. our manager is thinking of dropping it in his car for demo. what are your thoughts on this? good or bad? we are thinking, since it can send/recieve anything bluetooth, ie: play the mp3s off your phone, display your contact list, etc...if one had a bluetooth enabled laptop, you'd never, ever need to buy cd's again... again, thoughts? if chris puts this in car, i'll post updates... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

I have a aouple of rattles left to get out of my car. I bought some 60 mil dynamat type sound deadener off ebay. one of the last rattles I have is the heat deflector that is mounted 2 1/2" away from my muffler. it probably doesn't get near as hot as the muffler, but I want to get some feedback on it before I put any on the top of the deflector. does anyone know how much heat these deadeners can take safely. Should I put the deadener on the deflector? any advice would be appreciated. thanks Josh

I have a samll problem and maybe someone here knows what is happening. I have a line driver on my amps so here it goes. I turned the gains on the LD up to about 1/2 way. I then proceeded to set the gains on the amps using a DMM and 50hz test tone to volume level 26 on my HU. Everything was good until I played music. It doesn't seem to matter which song I play. When I get to about 22-24 (depends on song) the sub amp cuts off. It's not in protect mode it just turns off entirely. My door/dash speakers warble, then go to producing a clicking noise. If I turn the car off and let it sit for a couple minutes, everything works fine when I turn it back on. Keep in mind t…

I am going to be getting some hertz 165xl components and am considering running them active with a nice sound processor. The problem is I don't know much about sound processors or running speakers active. what should I look for when buying a processor? is it worth it or should I just use the crossover that comes with the speakers?

I am looking for specs on efficiency and THD for .5,1,2 ohm applications of the Q13500D.1, basscleff 5500, and sundown sa2 5000. while these manufactures list there 4Ohm and even 2 ohm on some, none of them seem to have any detailed specs on 1ohm loads and as for sundown i cant seem to find ANY specs to speak of on their website so im some what leery there. does anyone know that the exact THD, signal to noise, and efficiency is at 1ohm loads for these amps? thanks.

Anyone know if they under rate the 1200 watts at 1ohm ? Noticed no CEA-2006 compliance sticker on website so curious to peoples experiance. Would anyone consider NVX JAD1200.1 as a replacement ? http://www.nvx.com/amplifiers-1/jad12001.html CEA-2006 compliant and interesting promises/stats. http://www.soundqubed.com/Q1-1200D-Amplifier_p_30.html Awesome reviews and recommended. So I have a SoundStorm (SSL) EV4000D. I've had it for about a year and a half, and never have had a problem with it, except that I have blown two Subs with it. The first one was a Pioneer TS-W3002D4 which lasted about 8 months and then the most current one which blew today was a Kicker CompRT12. So i need suggestions of what kind of sub i should get because obviously the last two were a fail. I want something that will thump my price range is up to $250. Hope I can get some feedback.

hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows (or heard) of soundstream making good amps. im debating buying either a soundstream pca2000d or a kicker zx1500 amp. they both push 1500rms when wired at 2 ohms. naturally i would just go for the kicker because no one seems to have anything bad to say about them and are under rated, i just dont like the fact that the kicker can't wire down to one ohm if i decide i want more power. please lemme know if you heard anything bad or good about soundstream...thx-phil

i know old school sound streams are good amps. i have a mint sa-164 already and it suprises me how much power it puts out. and the rubicon 1002 is supposed to put out 1000w rms. thats just what i need so is $150 for this amp an ok deal that will guarantee me 1000w rms?
