My dad got a used 05 Mustang back in the summer, and it came with a Eclipse CD4000 deck in it. I got him a pair of Alpine Type R Componant Speakers for Christmas. I was planning on installing it for him, but he insisted on haveing the car audio shop I got it from to install it (yeah, he don't trust me tearing apart his car). Anyway, I also had a Pioneer 2x60 Watts laying around to power the componants, and a Massive 1000 Watt amp and a 12" Adire Brahma. I took the Pioneer and Massive amp along to have the shop install those too and feed the wires for me, so I have the sub amp ready for the Brahma. hi, a freind has given me his set of alpine type r componots but one has a blown midbass driver. now i am wondering is there anyway that i can find out what the highpass and lowpass is set at? they are the newer ones that have an 110 rms rating

I need to choose an amp for a pair of Maw-15's I was thinking the Sundown-1000D. Seems like it would work good being when I wire both subs into it. The Rms wattage would split and it would be powering the MAw-15's to their full RMS which I know isnt everything but ya know. Any Input. Thanks in Advance for all the help.

I know it's hard to do apples to apples, different ohm loads "Output Voltage and Impedance 8V/55 " different THD's "Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.008%" yadda yadda...frequency range, voltage. I have been looking to switch from Alpine to Eclipse on the simple thought that Alpine is usually 4-5V where eclipse can be 8V and upwards. Help me out here guys!

Is it to install a DVD/Navigation Unit in a car. Is it about the same as a HU, I'm going to be helping my cousin install this in his truck. I was just wondering if it was more difficult to install then a regular HU. He Has this: Panasonic

i dont want to second guess myself so im trying to get another opinion on a good estimation of what size fuses i need to get. what im running is a kinetik 1800 in the hood and a kinetik 1800 in the back of tundra (ext. cab with seats taking out) with 2 runs of 0g. i have a 180 amp alt under the hood complete with the big 3 all in 0g. I have two ANL inline holders, one in the wire right after the + terminal on the kinetik in the hood and then one on the wire in between the alt and + terminal on the kinetik under the hood. What size should i get for those two (they should both be the same right)? are there any other places that would be ideal to place an inline fuse. then i…

OK... So here is my dilemma. Ive got 2 - 15inch SX series RE audio subs in my room at the moment. Im in need of an amp capable of producing ATLEAST 2000 rms (true power not rated) and made the sad mistake of purchasing the power acrapstik 5500D rated at a rediculous 3200RMS but im not even able to pull 1KW off it by the sounds of it. I guess ile eat the cost of the current amp but what do you guys think of the MA audio 4000D's? My old amp was a rackmount amp from MA and felt like it did near rated pushing my two bostons and i was fairly pleased with the clean output. So heres what it comes down too... Looking at a 100.4 sundown going active up front... 6-1/2" midbass and 1" tweet in the doors... Deciding which of the 2 units will give me better control with going active... And also which of the two is just "better" overall... though i feel it's not really important mentioning but the subs is powered by a saz3000D on 2 BL 12" I also have a 300amp iraggi alt and a yellowtop upfront and a kinetik hc24000 in the rear... Anyone have experience with these HU's let me know please...

i just ordered the new fosgate t1500x1 and was wondering if anyone could tell me what the birth sheet says for the total output?

i hooked up my hifonics bxi1206d amp and its not getting power supposively. i dont get it, its grounded and runnin power from the battery, and when i pulled out the fuse in it and it shot some sparks. the only other thing i can think of is maybe there is a ground wire in the back of the h/u isnt grounded....if i recall right. i messed with the gains and still....the led saying whether or not it has power didnt light up at all. any help?

Ok, I finally got around to building my box for my 12" BTL and I got it all installed and when I went to set the gain on my Orion 2500d. I was only reading around 5.0 volts on my Multimeter I had it set to 200 AC. I was supposed to set it to 50 but, I'm getting no where near that, with the gain set full it only goes up to around 33 volts. Any Ideas as to what it could be, I opened up the bottom didn't see anything burned or fired, so I have no idea.

Im installing this unit in a 2001 tahoe. Im having trouble with it. I bought an install kit, i think the # is 99-3002. But i think it might need a mounting sleeve for it. Has anyone had any experience installing Premier headunits, im not sure exactly what i need?

I want to install a processor, Have seen the 701 in action(didnt get much play time tho). I have not been able to screw around with a 360. Does anybody have any experience with these two units? I was leaning towards the alpine, mainly for the digital input. Is the digital that important, or not? Thanks for any help

Heres the scoop: I went to put my sub and amp in my car, and was having a hard time getting the box to fit, so I thought I better check everything out to make sure it worked, and the amp keeps going into a protection mode or something. Its a Memphis PR1000.1 I tried to contact the seller because he guaranteed not to be DOA but won't get a return. I guess thats what I get for buying off of ebay But anyways, I was wondering if people could give me some input on which would be a better amp for my Fi Q in a LSQ installation. Kicker ZX1000.1 Sundown SAE-1000D I can get them for about the same price. Any help? Thanks.

Well, I've installed a complete new system in a friends SUV (minus a headunit). Everything is going great and just trying to tweak thinks a bit. One thing that is real obvious is the low bass extension. Is this a problem with having a LOC instead of an aftermarket unit. I have heard that this can be a problem in my situation. Is there a cure for this? I would like her to have full range capabilities. Thanks.

i just heard something weird from a tech at Hifonics. the reason i am not getting sound is because i have "stereo input RCAs" or something of that nature not "mono" ones... so now i have to buy a splitter that will connect to one of my old RCA cables that will be split in to two for the two inputs on the amp... if that makes any sense.... i find this weird because on my old RF amp it has matching colors for each of my old RCA cables which made it so i didnt need to buy a splitter... is this normal? i thought it would be straight forward red to white but i guessed wrong...or so i hope!

hi i have been looking at tons of videos all day about how to set gains on a sub amp. i have tried and am completely lost. when i touch the speaker terminals with the DMM it says 0 volts... wtf... super annoying so i cant even get passed the first part in this battle in hell... if anyone can help me out with a easy way to set it let me know asap. also with the subs and everything plugged in and all knobs down i hear no sound from the subs at all as if they are getting no power. AHH!! please help!

i was wondering if maybe there is some kind of really easy way that works well for tuning an amp. the instruction booklet shows most settings for things like sub eq, subsonic, and frequency as set to halfway is this something that i should do with it right out of the box or should i try and tweak the knobs to some other directions. if anyone knows of a easy way to make the settings easy to set and sound fine it would help me a lot. thanks
