Well I have decided to get 2 12"Dcons and am gonna run them in about 3 and a 1/2 cubes at 31 hz. I am considering the following amps. What would your choice be?( a little head room is ok} 1. My friend just got a Sundown 3,000 for his truck. I brought up the idea of maybe trading my DD M3a for his SAZ3,000. He's doesn't care either way. What would you do and why? Side notes: For now I will have one amp on 2 ZCON 18"s at .5 ohm. Then get a second of either and have each at 1 ohm daily, and .25 for shows and such.

Hey all.I just got my high output alternator and I'm wanting to do the big 3 upgrade but I have a couple of questions first.I'm going to use the knukoncepts kolliousis flex 1/0 wire to do it and I was wondering about how many feet of wire I would need to do it. My car is a 1977 oldsmobile delta 88 with a 403 engine if that helps any. Also could someone post a good article on how exactly to do it please? Thanks a ton. HawkEye

just got my soundstream xxx6500, on a trade for a componet set, what do you think about it? what comments do you have from people who have one or used one?! any suggestions? will two kinetik 2400 be enough power for it?

I've got a line on the Massive amps, and wondering if any of you guys have ever used/reviewed them. I'm currently using a RF T600-4 to run my RF T1652-S door and rear deck speakers. I've started to notice when turning on my radio after the car has set for a while the front left speaker doesn't turn on until I turn the volume up a bit. Once it kicks on I can run forever at low or high volumes without it cutting out. Just wondering if anyone knows the internals in a amp that could cause this.

I'm thinking of getting this to push rl-i 8"s in the wifes car. I had a directed 1500D, but it's on it's way out. It states that it'll do 1500@1ohm, but how true to rated power does this amp do? I recently picked up a 05 Impala, and due to a problem with my other car, am stripping out the wiring kit in it to throw in the impala. I have an Aftermarket deck in my other car (A Grand Am), but I believe it has a short or something thats screwing up my electrical system >=( Anyhow, I had a buddy do my wiring on the Grand Am, and since I didn't have a precut hole in the firewall, he ran it by the side of the door. Only problem is, in Arizona, the heat and weather is horrible, so the wire is hella faded and looks like it is being rubbed or something. So obviously I'm going to need to replace that. this might sound noobish but i wasnt sure. im getting an aq2200d, but im not going to be running it at 1 ohm, im going to be running it at 2 ohms for the time being. the question is, do i need to up the battery and treat like im running it at 1 ohm (2200 W)? i think i should be fine off my stock battery since im only pusing ~1300 watts correct?

i bought this deck yesterday and it comes with the demo mode on, in the insructions it says to push and hold the volume knob in for 2 seconds and it will switch it from on to off, and off to on depending on what its already in, but when i do this the mode is still on, can anyone help me? it would be greatly appreciated

Hey so I was browsing woofersetc today and I came across this Clarion VZ400 Looks pretty nice for less than $400. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find a review. Anyone tried one of these or used a clarion head unit and know how they do? Looks like a steal to me so I'm just looking for second opinions.

so we got everything put in, and long story short, the subs just make a popping sound about every second...kinda funny Ive never heard it before. we wired up one sub to the mid amp and it beats for only 400 watts. so is my amp shot? power supply....? this would be the second time Ive got shafted on an orion 2500d, and I'm about to give up.

I have a XS Power D3400 as my starting battery mounted in the engine compartment and an axuiliry D3400 mounted in my trunk. The batteries are wired in parallel with no isolator/relay. I have an alternator on order from DC Power but I have yet to receive it. My stock alternator is 90 amps. My system draw can be over 100 amps but I have it tuned down for now. I monitor my voltage which stays above 13.3 volts, worse case with engine running. I am concerned that I will damage my stock alternator and XS Power batteries with my system demands. Hey, I was just wondering if there's any rule of thumb or some sort of math to see how many batteries you need. For example: If u have a 150A alt and a 170A draw. Will you be fine with just one batt or do you need another. This is just a theoretical scenario

So I was reading about my 2002 jeep liberty (KJ) electrical system and found this The charging system of our KJ's is much different to ones in the past.
