Why does everyone run 2 Kinetik Hc1800s instead of 1 HC3800? You get more power and its easier to set up and its the same price if not cheaper. Would this battery also be enough with the two amps and a 200A alternator?

Hey guys, i seem to be having a few problems with my system just a couple days ago and i was wondering if you guys have any idea of what might be going on before i go searching for the problem myself. I have 2 12" FI Qs running at 600 watts each, so an overall of 1200. Just a couple days ago i was testing a few songs on the system, nothing out of the ordinary, everything was working fine. I've has this system for about a month now and no problems occured till recently. Then a day went by where the car was idle, and then the day after that the car wouldn't start; the battery died. I have a crossover/eq and a petra full range crossover.I have to much midrange and has to much mid in the speakers.Can i use my eq to controll my mids.

Hey all, I just picked up a Pioneer Premiere DEH-P880PRS off ebay for $200. Pretty good deal. The only thing is, is that it doesn't come with a cage, book, or harness. I get get the pdf of the book off of pioneers website. Does the 880 use a 16pin harness like all of the ones on ebay? There is a cage, harness, and trim panel on ebay for $15.00 shipped. So any help would be appreciated! -Ryan

i recently just replaced my 4 guage power wire with 0 guage wire well my car ran fine on my way to work, but then i went to leave work and it wouldnt start, i had it towed and had a mechanic look at it, we've replaced my coil, map sensor, distributor cap, roter and still nothing, my battery is not dead, both batteries are reading around 12.7 volts if someone can please help itd be great, thinking it may be sensors, fuses etc.

just wondering what i need to set my gains at voltage wise with my ac meter for this amp. is it around 80 volts? thanks for any help

So after getting another battery that i had layin around and my trusty 250a battery charger, i hook the battery up backwards because someone decided they'd have a black wire for + ...lmao scared me a lil bit as sparks flew everywhere... Ok but i get it hooked up and it still cuts off as the charger has 12low, med, and high. High usually runs my voltage up to 16 and into dangerous levels, so i turn it up and then go turn the battery charger to high, and voila. I had the gain turned all the way down and my trunk was about to kome off. I'm not really quite sure if the SX's can take it,lol. I let it play for about 10mins, the cones were extremely hot, so i gave it a break. …

Sup, I did a search, but couldn't find anything. I got a pioneer z130bt and a ipod touch. I downloaded a bunch of album photos and they used to show up, but after I downloaded the latest ipod update, I can't get any to show up on my HU even though they show on my ipod. Anybody had this issue?

Hey, I was just wondering if there's any rule of thumb or some sort of math to see how many batteries you need. For example: If u have a 150A alt and a 170A draw. Will you be fine with just one batt or do you need another. This is just a theoretical scenario

Ok so I have a kicker zx2500.1 laying around my house and since I blew my previous amp, This may besomething I can stick in my car. So my question is (after doing some digging that led to nowhere) does ANYBODY know the MAX of this amp? I have read quite a few things most of which say this # RMS Power Rating: * 4 ohms: 1250 watts x 1 chan. * 2 ohms: 2500 watts x 1 chan. # Max power output: 2500 watts x 1 chan. How can the rms and the max of the amp at 2ohms be the same?

Has anybody had this head unit? I can't seem to find out how to set the bass, treble, mids, ect. It has presets but that's it.. Can anyone help me out?

hey guys i am new two the whole speaker set up thing but knows some about amps and subs. My question is i have 1997 f150 regular cab with four speakers one in each door and one beehind each seat. Are these stock speakers active or passive? I really dont know what the difference is between active and passive if you guys could help me understand that would be great. I also plan on replaceing these speakers by next year and i would like two know if i should run an active or passive speaker set? Also will a 0 gauge distribution block work with that 2/0 gauge wire, I have not been able to find a bigger block? I will be running 250amp fuses throughout the setup. One from alt to battery, one 12" from battery to distribution block? I only want the cap to be used on the sub amp and both outputs on the block are 250amp fused, do I need to run anymore fuses in the setup?

okay well today, im mounting my fuse holders ect... and my question is when do i actully put my fuses in??? like do i start my car then place my 300 amp fuses (4) for my batterys(1 d3400 under the hood,2 d3100 in the trunk) and 200 amp fuses(2) for my aq3500d1 on my amp? or before i start my car i place my fuses in??? idk if that makes sense please answer anyone

Okay i was using power acoustik's 5500 1/D amps, just got the one i blew back from the factory (brand new). So i'm selling both and hopefully buying a sundown. i had my heart set on the SAZ-2000D but while at work i was thinking... why not get the SAZ-3000D? i will purchase 2 of either model for 4 SSA ICON 15's D1's Should i get the 3000D or the 2000D? i know the 3000D is going away. the price is only about $100 differance on db-r.

I normally get my music from youtube. With my new receiver i want to use videos instead of just music. I have tried every file format i can find and none will play in my pioneer. Any suggestions?

i bought this deck yesterday and it comes with the demo mode on, in the insructions it says to push and hold the volume knob in for 2 seconds and it will switch it from on to off, and off to on depending on what its already in, but when i do this the mode is still on, can anyone help me? it would be greatly appreciated

Well, my friend installed a Rockford Type RF.4 4 channel amp into his car and after it was installed a popping noise would occur when he turned on his HU or when he turned his volume from 0 to 1. We must have regrounded that amp several times but the popping still occurs. We tried replacing the HU but to no avail, same problem occurs. I told him to try regrounding his HU but his HU was already grounded to a drilled, sanded spot. Right now, he is trying to shorten his ground wire. Now this only happened after he installed this amp. Before, I had let him borrow my trusty ol' Orion Xtreme 5004 and there were no probs with that amp so I'm assuming it has something to do with…
