Is the Jensen VM9021TS a good HU, Has anyone owned this receiver in the past and had any problems with it.

Hey all, I have a question about routing power in the car for mobile video... I have 6 items that need to be powered on the roof: 3 15" flip-down monitors, 2 sun visor monitors, and a video signal booster. Each piece of equipment has #18 gauge power/ground leads and they are fused with very thin glass fuses, so I'm assuming they draw very little amperage (none of the equipment lists actual numbers and Google searches proved useless) so I'm assuming total load I'm looking at under 15 amps or so. I have some spare 9ga wire I could run from the battery up to the headliner for power (it might be overkill but the next smallest wire I have is 18ga and I'm trying to work with w…

Thoughts?

Tomorrow i should have my my SAX 125.2 wired up to my Kenwood DNX-8120 and Hetrz HSK 165.4 components. I wanted to get a heads up about about all of the settings on the amp and where everything should be set. I dont have a DMM if that matters. Thanks for any help! Here's a picture for reference...

We came across a Crunch 1500 watt Power Zone amplifier, P1500.1. it will power up and play music.......... as long as there is some pressure on one of the adjustment knobs..... Take away the pressure and the music output stops. The "Low Pass" filter knob is missing , once the amp is opened up, you see that the whole little box has been removed. so first question is ; can I purchase and install this box ? like is that i DIY type project? second question ; is there any home remedies for the pressure issue? anothere DIY project. If need be, I will send it in and get it fixed, but was hoping to do it cheap, in house. thanks for the input, chop IAK

well, just ordered myself an older panasonic CQ-DF903U. Ive had a older 6000 model I think it was and a 702 or something and really liked em both, can only imagine that the 903 is better than both of those. anyone have any experience with this on? wht did you think of it. monday I leave for new jersey to work for 3 weeks and have a free place to stay, free food, no utilities, so when I get back Ill have all the money left and should be getting my amp and sub then. amps looking like a SA SAE1200D to power a HDC312 or a Fi BL12. man I cant wait to get it all and get it installed. just a stock 93 accord, wonder how it will handle the current draw. is the power plant series any good or are they overrated?

If I was to add second batterie to my system, would I need a batterie issolator or will I be fine without one.

Ok so I have a kicker zx2500.1 laying around my house and since I blew my previous amp, This may besomething I can stick in my car. So my question is (after doing some digging that led to nowhere) does ANYBODY know the MAX of this amp? I have read quite a few things most of which say this # RMS Power Rating: * 4 ohms: 1250 watts x 1 chan. * 2 ohms: 2500 watts x 1 chan. # Max power output: 2500 watts x 1 chan. How can the rms and the max of the amp at 2ohms be the same?

My H/U only puts out 2v. Figured this could help so I bought one. Im tryna set it to about 5V. Got the cover off and everything. But how do I check what voltage its at? I put a DMM on the outside of the rca plug and it stayd at 0. Put the prongs on the inside and the numbers went crazy! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to have the LD installd and the rca's hookd up before adjusting the voltage?

Well, a friend told me the other night he had some amps sitting around that he has never used really, so I asked him what he had and he replied with, "power acoustik stuff." Now, I was a little skeptical at first but I decided to look anyways. Well, come to find out one of the amps he had sitting around was a PA A2400DB so I jumped on that. A few hours ago I put a Sony Head unit in my friends car. Not sure what model; her parents took it out of their old car. Once it was wired up, we tested it. The tuner was coming in static-y or not at all, depending on how we moved the antenna wire around. It was a 2000 corolla and didn't require an antenna adapter. The cd function and aux function work fine and sounds clear. They listened to fm radio with the factory HU on the way here, with no problem. Any ideas?

I am never one to cut corners, on the flip side I am one to over build. I am ditching Iraggi alternators cuz their service SUCKS and I am going excessive amperage. I will be getting another HO alt and 2 more big AGM batteries and doing some more runs of ott. 1st off, do you guys recommend I get a missinglinkaudio voltage regulator? Anyway, should I get dual 4 ohm XXXs for the VAN and go 2 ohm, or should I run dual 2 at 1 ohm since I should have good electrical to back it up? Im looking for a hu im not into the whole dvd players seeing must of them dont put out high output sounds if there is one let me know. The hu im looking for has to have a built in amp and have some good looking color display i looked at a few kenwood jvc etc and im still lost so thought i put this here. Hello, I have about 1200 watts rms of power (1 sub and 2 speakers) in my car : one saz 1000 and (soon) an sax 50.4 bridged to my comp set. My power and ground are 0 gauge. I will very soon do the big 3 with all 0 ga. I would like to have more electrical power, in order to have maybe a 1500 or a 2000 watts amp for a next sub. What would be better ? Add a second battery in the trunk ? XS or Kinetic, like the small one they make for Honda civic. Or just replace the battery under the hood with a bigger one? always XS or Kinetic. Okay I just upgraded my 4 Guage to 0 gauge , me and my buddy both wired our cars, his car for some reason wouldn't start. He thought it was his battery, anyways my car worked fine, about 12 hrs later I go to start my car and it will not start, its not my battery, I checked it and its at about 12.5 volts, I unhooked the main source and still nothing, any ideas of what it could possibly be??? Sensors, relays, fuses etc.

Ive been looking at DC alts for my truck and they go from 2005-2009. The 2010 is the same gen and engine as the 2005-2009 im guessing they just left it off the list by accident just wondering if anyone knows for sure if it would work or wouldnt for some reason. thanks in advance.

I have an 07 LT Suburban, which I believe has the 160amp alternator. I want to run a dual alternator system for my truck because I'm about to install a hi-powered audio system in the truck. I'm trying to find a kit that will allow me to keep my factory alt while running another 250 - 300 amp alt that will run independent from the factory system. So in theory the second alternator would only power the two additional batteries that will be in the truck. Nothing factory related would be power by the second alt. Anyone have any ideal? I'm open to all suggestions. However if someone here is already running dual alt and advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

I normally get my music from youtube. With my new receiver i want to use videos instead of just music. I have tried every file format i can find and none will play in my pioneer. Any suggestions?

Okay I just put it in my new 5000 and I have two amps... Sundown SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4. Well I have two sets of RCA cables going to the 100.4, one set going from the front preouts on the 5000 to channels 1 and 2, and the other set is going from the rear preouts on the 5000 to channels 3 and 4. For some reason I'm not getting any music out of the rears. I can hear a very faint "tv snow-screen" type of sound coming out when I have my ear up to one of the speakers, but that's it. Anyone know what's going on?
