Help Tweak mmats D100hc, know that you change the secondary !

I currently have my Orion 2500d mounted on the top flat. I pan on putting the 18" on top facing up, and the amp on the side. Will it be ok as far as heating is concered?

sooo yeah, basically i'm just looking for some tips to stop my head unit from skipping due to vibration. as it stands now my deck (Pioneer DEH-3800MP), most of the time gives me no problems when the volume is at 35/64, but when i go higher to 40, and sometimes even 38, the bass makes it vibrate and skip. i'm just wondering if there are any tips or better ways to secure my deck to limit this problem. i'm planning soon to double my subwoofer power (getting 2 IA LI's), so i'm hoping to get this solved before that. i've read somewhere that skipping can be a voltage issue and one way to solve it is to go around the wiring harness and wire the deck directly to the battery, …

I am never one to cut corners, on the flip side I am one to over build. I am ditching Iraggi alternators cuz their service SUCKS and I am going excessive amperage. I will be getting another HO alt and 2 more big AGM batteries and doing some more runs of ott. 1st off, do you guys recommend I get a missinglinkaudio voltage regulator? Anyway, should I get dual 4 ohm XXXs for the VAN and go 2 ohm, or should I run dual 2 at 1 ohm since I should have good electrical to back it up? I have heard stay 2 ohm, and I think that is what I will do. It's already too loud as it is 99% of the time.. my ears hurt and get numb on a daily basis and I know it's stupid. just a fast question guys i have an 18" btl fully loaded, i have it running off a saz-2000D. i have my sub wired down to 1 ohm. my question is, should i have my sub wired to the amp bridged or not? right now i dont have it bridged and it slaps hard. but i just saw a vid with the same setup pretty much and his was bridged on the amp thanks an advance fellaz

I tried searching but search feature doesn't really like small words like Big 3. I've seen it a lot where people say you can leave the stock alternator/ground cables connected, but does disconnecting them have any effect? I ask because I would rather just cap the stock cables off for a cleaner install.

Alpine 9811 Kicker 550.3 ED 6000 Had this set up for bout 3 years now no probs but over the last month when i listen to it at 28 and above the treble get all muffled and u cant hear the highs. When i turn it down to say 20-24 for a min or so the treble returns and all is normal. this happen no matter what source i use Ipod/CD/Tuner and it is hap more freq. Is it the HU/Amp/Mid&high??? or RCA cables???

I have plans of adding an additional 3000D and a BTL 18 to my existing 3000D and BTL 18. The problem is that the 3000D is no longer in production, and DB-R is running low. What would my options be if I couldn't get another 3000D when I do the upgrade? I don't think it would work properly if I combined a 3000D on one BTL and a 3500D on the other.... please inform. So my car has been dieing after sitting overnight. It won't start in the morning. I have been leaving it on the charger overnight. I have an Optima Red Top under the hood and a 55ah SR12-205FR Super Rate Series in the trunk. I took the trunk batt out at Autozone and the guy tried to test it and said it was at 10.xx volts and he couldn't run the test with it that low. He said that I have to do a trickle charge on this batt, it can't be charged with a regular charge. Is this true? Then we tested the red top (with the trunk batt still disconected) and it was resting at 12.41 volts and read as a bad batt. The Autozone guy said it should be around 12.45 volts and I should tri…

Okay I just upgraded my 4 Guage to 0 gauge , me and my buddy both wired our cars, his car for some reason wouldn't start. He thought it was his battery, anyways my car worked fine, about 12 hrs later I go to start my car and it will not start, its not my battery, I checked it and its at about 12.5 volts, I unhooked the main source and still nothing, any ideas of what it could possibly be??? Sensors, relays, fuses etc.

I'm looking into getting a new head unit, and I was wanting some suggestions.. I'm looking for something simple, but quality. I need ability to play MP3 CD's, Have an AUX input, and a USB port that will work with iPod or iPhone (not a major need though). I have an XO vision something or other 3" screen DVD player type head unit that I got from wal mart online for like 100$, and I'm just not impressed with the quality or controls. I need help choosing an amplifier for a Kicker CVT 10 that I’m going to purchase soon. But if one 10 isn’t good enough for me I was planning on getting a second one. So what I was wondering is if there is a sub that I can start out with and give it the power the one sub requires and also if I were to wire up a second CVT 10 to the amp, also have those two subs well powered. I'm trying to bring the shine back to my old SS class a amps. I've started on a few fins using eagle one nevr-dull. It comes out nice but takes forever to clean up. Anyone here have a good suggestions for cleaning up aluminum?

What are you guys' thoughts on this? It is sort of temporary give or take on how much I like it, I don't like the looks too much but it seems like its fine. I like having the noticable volume and channel changing button also. The USB I have read that you can plug your iPod through the USB and it should work (if it doesn't I have a flash drive or can get a bigger one for ~10$) and it plays cds. I have an iPod touch and I haven't been able to use it because the wireless ones dont work for chit (and differ in each car), I have no tape deck, and all I can play are cd's. hi, i currently have an alpine pdx 4 100 and today i was messing around with my crossover because i was using my head unit as it and my battery died this morning so i lost everything when i replaced with and ever since i messed with the crossovers it has been going into prottection mode after about 10 mins at full volume ( by full volume i mean 45 out of 62 becuase that is where i set my gains to.) now last time it did this it was hot outside ( 97o) and today it is 92 but the feel like temp is 97 so could that be the problem. i have it mounted on my backseat with them folded up.

i know this sounds like a newbie question but i wanted to get the right answer. okay, so i have a rf t1000-1bd. it says that the amp is wired in parallel inside the amp. does this mean i can put a wire from each terminal on my woofer to each one of the 4 outputs and it will automatically take my dual 2 down to a 1 ohm load internally?. basically i wanna bump up the wire size going to my woofer because im used to the jumper and twist technique, but if i can get a fatter 10 gauge wire i'd like to do that. so basically instead of me doing the parallel wiring and only 2 wires coming from my sub, i'll have 2 wires from each voice coil, 4 wires going to my amp and the amp will …
