Am using a US Amp MD.3D amp. I got a HO alternator from Nations that push out around 140 Amps at idle and 230 Amps max output. I also have a 2 Farad cap and a battery that is 1000 cranking amps (CA)and 850 CCA. Will this be enough to run this amp without it going into PROTECT mode or shutting off due to the lack of "juice"? What is the "BIG 3"?

The Punch is BD class and has 1000watts and the soundstream ab class and has 1,2kw... The amp has to be stable and powerfull but most importantly SMALL..... Whats the better choice?? Patrick

sooo yeah, basically i'm just looking for some tips to stop my head unit from skipping due to vibration. as it stands now my deck (Pioneer DEH-3800MP), most of the time gives me no problems when the volume is at 35/64, but when i go higher to 40, and sometimes even 38, the bass makes it vibrate and skip. i'm just wondering if there are any tips or better ways to secure my deck to limit this problem. i'm planning soon to double my subwoofer power (getting 2 IA LI's), so i'm hoping to get this solved before that. i've read somewhere that skipping can be a voltage issue and one way to solve it is to go around the wiring harness and wire the deck directly to the battery, …

Here is my setup HU - Pioneer Premier DEH-P690UB Front - Hybrid Clarus C61-2 (2 way) Sub - Single IDQ12v3 (DVC) The Pioneer HU xover specs are.... im going with a 200 amp alternator from excessive amperage in the ca group buy. its going in an 87 trans am daily driver with a kenwood 35x4 and an eD nine.1, going to do the big 3, have an optima yellow top 31, and run 0/1 gauge wire back to a distributor and 4 gauge to the amps. for daily driving, im wanting a small case not a large one right? large is more for spl vehicles that sit and idle as they burp correct? my car idles around 750-800 right now because i have a minor vacuum leak but once i track it down and fix it should be more like 600-650 idle.

Hey, I was just wondering if there's any rule of thumb or some sort of math to see how many batteries you need. For example: If u have a 150A alt and a 170A draw. Will you be fine with just one batt or do you need another. This is just a theoretical scenario

in the back of my truck is not the learning experience I quite thought it would be. Until the Fox acoustic box gets here, my rear seat is out and my Great Dane takes pleasure in stepping on the cables. Uncle Mur4phy must have told him to stand right on the connectors because all four are broken. To top it off, he's crapped twice on the sub amp and pushes off anything I cover it up with. Back to the RCA's, those 22gauge wires are too small to hold and solder at the same time. What can I use to hold the jack while soldering? Mind you this has to be done in the back cab of my truck.

  20. I need help choosing an amplifier for a Kicker CVT 10 that I’m going to purchase soon. But if one 10 isn’t good enough for me I was planning on getting a second one. So what I was wondering is if there is a sub that I can start out with and give it the power the one sub requires and also if I were to wire up a second CVT 10 to the amp, also have those two subs well powered. I’d like to get the most out of my sub(s). So if someone could please advise me on this! I have had a suggestion of getting a Kicker CX600.1. (new model). Which is 4 ohms: 300 watts x 1 chan. 2 ohms: 600 watts x 1 chan. TheKicker CVT 10 is RMS: 400 Peak: 800 The reason why I’m getting such a smal…

I have an 04 escalade and am wondering if I get a new Deck from say pioneer a dvd player double din style, can I still have my steering wheel controls? There is a lot more than just audio on my steering wheel pertaining to oil readings and gas readings and mileage and all kinds of stuff. Does anyone know what is all controlled by the current head unit and what can be lost from changing it out?

Ok so today i was resetting the gain on my Sundown Audio SAZ-2000D. I was using a 50hz tone using a dmm. I realized that once the gain was turned up to a certain point it started to make a weird humming sound. I could hear it from inside of the amp on the side closest to where the settings are. Any ideas of what it may be? The 50hz tone I have repeats in 10 second intervals. I can only hear this humming sound from the amp during the 10 seconds. And yes I'm not hearing the noise coming from the speakers inside. Why does the amp only make this sound when the gain reaches a certain point?

Anyone have experience with the massive audio P30001? http://massivemulti-media.com/store/index....p;products_id=4 The prices are very low right now on e-bay and it looks good. If it's as good as it looks does anyone know if it can handle say a 1.4 ohm load with good power supply or is it a rigid 2 ohms? I was thinking of running one of these to A btl 15". what do you guys think? Hope this makes sense I am undercaffenated.
