Hey Gents, i am new at car audio systems and would like to know how the BIG 3 is done. Can somebody explain this to me please. I got a response in a list form but didnt get it. Some help please? Also, does this help with dimming?

2volt headunit vs 4volt headunit which is better? what are the benefits of a high voltage sub output? I currently have a 2v alpine that i'm thinking of replacing I'm thinking with my current setup that I can use a little more power but idk If i get a 4v, will i have 2 retune my amps? Will I end up just turning my amps down with a 4v, and have the same results as b4? Would it be better to put that money towards a big amp? (money is rare)

I am looking to get yet another alt for my car and I know iraggi makes good ones but has anyone used one made by excessiveamperage? I dont want to get ripped off like I have read few have.

What kind of amp(s) would be best paired with 2 FI BL 10" subs and should i go dual 1ohm vc or dul 2ohm vc

just got my soundstream xxx6500, on a trade for a componet set, what do you think about it? what comments do you have from people who have one or used one?! any suggestions? will two kinetik 2400 be enough power for it?

just a quick question, is it possible for a amp to be "too cold"?

so we got everything put in, and long story short, the subs just make a popping sound about every second...kinda funny Ive never heard it before. we wired up one sub to the mid amp and it beats for only 400 watts. so is my amp shot? power supply....? this would be the second time Ive got shafted on an orion 2500d, and I'm about to give up.

Right so im gonna be running an mb quart q150 4 chan amp and a sundown 3500. what i want to do is run the 4 chan off of the stock alt/electrical with big 3 and a yellow top. a friend of mine has a 190 amp alt that he wants to sell me and hes also machinist so he can make brackets and whatever i would need to do this so mounting shouldnt be a problem. i want to have the 2nd alt isolated from the cars electrical and simply dedicated to a bank of batteries (couple kinetic hc2400's or there abouts) he said the alt is internally regulated to 14.8 v. so i guess the question is.. is there anything wrong with running the 2nd alt like this? any hickups or potentially dangerous pro…

ok want to install my amp but i'm not sure where to put the phase at. i have a SAZ-2000D should i just leave it at 0? or where's a good place to put it? i should know what it is. BUT I DON'T :/ maybe i'm missing something here lol thanks!

ok so i have a 2006 chevy colorado and im going to be getting a 270 amp singer alternator that comes with an overdrive pulley that adds 30-40 amps. and im pretty dead set on getting an xs battery for a secondary battery and i was wondering what size or model i should get. and i wanted to keep a battery with top posts under the hood and was wondering if i could go with like an optima yellow top under the hood or if i had another option for under the hood? ill be running a crescendo bc3500 on two fi bl 15s.

ok so after ummm alot of reading im either looking at the nine.1 or the hifonics bx2005 or bxi2006(ok 3)...but im not sure i have the up to keep electrical system to get all the power from the nine.1 or the hifonics for that matter.so i guess my question is that which amp would be better and how could i make sure that my electrical system will be up to par once i get either or???

i'm getting a subs for it and i'm getting 2 rlp12" subs and i was looking into getting a lanzar max pro 2400 watt amp or should i look into getting a differnt one if not whats a good amp will the speakers handle a 2400 amp could they handle a 4000 what amp i dont know much about this stuff so i need help and sealed or ported box i got plenty of money

Maybe I can get some help here. I'm looking for amplifier choices, I'll be getting 4 RL-P 15's, probably being put into a smallish ported box. I kinda want to keep amplifier cost below 800$ if possible. I'm at a bit of a loss, on what to get. There are too many choices! I've considered getting a Hifonic Titan series TX1000 per sub. But maybe two stronger amps would be better. My truck has two yellow tops, and a mean green alternator. So any recomendations would be nice.

Hey everyone, I am taking the car in tomorrow to get my amps installed and I need to go get a wiring kit. I am looking for some quick advice on what I need and what gauge wire, I really would rather purchase this before hand then get overcharge at the shop. I want to go ahead and get all the wiring I will need for 2 sundown 1200's and a Sundown 100.4 I also am having a friend do the Big Three, What wire type/gauge will I need for that. I am only going to be running 1 or the 1200's and a older 2 channel amp, but I want them them to go ahead and install all of them so when I get the electrics upgraded I can go ahead and have it ready. Hi, need a small powerfull amp for one ssd 10 dual 2. I think about one Fosgate PUNCH P1000-1BD or one Soundstream Stealth Series STL1.1200D. The Punch is BD class and has 1000watts and the soundstream ab class and has 1,2kw... The amp has to be stable and powerfull but most importantly SMALL..... Whats the better choice?? Patrick

So I've tried both my HU and Ipod for a source to my amp and wired the amp to 2 different subs at different impedances. Always turns out the same way, some rattling sound coming from the speaker. So Obviously it's the amp because I've tried two of everything else. The "sound" plays with the signal, not with engine RPM, so I know it's not related to my ground. You can hear it at low volume with gain turned up just enough for sound to come out. I think it's also causing my amp to go into protect mode prematurely for some reason because it would go into protect around 30 volts on the DMM when setting with a test tone. I was wondering if anyone can help me with this. I drive a 2005 colorado with a HO 200amp alternator with a deka intimidator group 34 under the hood and 2 group 31's in the bed. The big 3 is done in 0 gauge, Two runs of 0 gauge to the rear batteries. I measured the voltage at the amp. At 1/2 tilt I was at 13.4 at idle, as soon as I turn it down it jumps back to 14.4. As soon as I crank it to full tilt it drop to 11.6 at idle. My amp is saz3000d at 1ohm. I think I covered everything. Do I have a problem somewhere or do I just need more. I didn't want to piss the neighbors off too much because so I will have to measure the voltage again at 2000 rpm to see how much differenc…

I have a 1999 Dodge durango with the infiniti speaker system. I just put kicker components in the doors. I'm wanting to install a four channel up in the next day or so. My question is should i remove the infiniti amp up in the kick panel or just leave it? Thanks Guys!
