I'm replacing a friends factory front door speakers and running all after market stuff minus the H/U. Is it possible for me to use a few feet of the factory speaker wire and them solder some 14ga wire to run to the aftermarket amps. I know this sounds really crappy, but this SUV (Ford Edge) is a real sh&t when it comes to going from the door into the cab.

lol so my friend is debatin whether to keep his mtx thunder 1200 or sell it and either get 2 audioque 1200's he wants to know which amp is better? mtx thunder 1200 or audioque 1200 yall tell me and will the audioque fit 0 guage wire?

Has anybody used/seen/heard anything from the new Audiopipe line? AQ has kinda alienated me recently and I'm looking to go in a different direction.

I ordered a 270 Amp alternator from Singer a little over a week ago, and he said it should be ready for shipment by the end of this week. I'm looking to upgrade my battery under the hood now, and in a few weeks throw another one in the back if needed. there's a ton of batteries to choose from...and from what I've read around on this forum you want a AGM/Deep Cycle batteries but if thats all your looking at there's a LOT of options. what would be a good amp kit for a 12" btl with the saz-2000d

I got my box design, I got the sub I want in mind. (Fi BTL 15''), I got the Big 3 finished. Getting a free yellow top optima battery. In the works of a 200amp alternator. Will a 200amp alternator run a SAZ-3000D amp with/without ease? I want to make sure that this setup will not stress my cars electrical system if I have everything that I listed above. Hi , I will buy a 2500-3000 watts amplifier when I find a good deal. With my 2 amps (Sundown saz1500 and sax 50.4 bridged) I have no voltage drops, no dimming lights. But I know my stock battery will have trouble with a more powerful bass amplifier. I don't want to change that stock battery : it's 2.5 year-old but still very strong ! I did add a 0 ga wire from batt(-) to ground and another 0 ga wire from engine block to batt(-). I can't access the alt, it's under a lot of things ! Here is my question : how bad is it to just add an AGM batt in the back ? Will it hurt my stock batt ? I can have access to Yellowtop, XS, or Kinetic locally. The Yellowtops are the less expens…

Okay I just put it in my new 5000 and I have two amps... Sundown SAE-1000D and SAX-100.4. Well I have two sets of RCA cables going to the 100.4, one set going from the front preouts on the 5000 to channels 1 and 2, and the other set is going from the rear preouts on the 5000 to channels 3 and 4. For some reason I'm not getting any music out of the rears. I can hear a very faint "tv snow-screen" type of sound coming out when I have my ear up to one of the speakers, but that's it. Anyone know what's going on?

I have been looking at the clarion eqs746 dash mount crossover. Not sure if I like the idea that my head unit has 3 rca outputs and the EQS746 only has one input. I am interested in installing a crossover but was thinking of looking at a trunk mounted model. thoughts??? Opinions???? model suggestions for the trunk mount models??? have been looking at Audio control and I have a MTX RT-X02i used in the 90's looking to improve my current sound output. I feel like I am missing something just haven't figured that out yet.

i am considering purchasing a pc2150 from a forum member. is it possible to put this battery under the hood or is it exclusively a second battery? i am running a zx2500.1 and a 200 amp alt. i need a new stock battery and i need a car audio battery. was hoping i could solve both problems with this one battery.
