So I've tried both my HU and Ipod for a source to my amp and wired the amp to 2 different subs at different impedances. Always turns out the same way, some rattling sound coming from the speaker. So Obviously it's the amp because I've tried two of everything else. The "sound" plays with the signal, not with engine RPM, so I know it's not related to my ground. You can hear it at low volume with gain turned up just enough for sound to come out. I think it's also causing my amp to go into protect mode prematurely for some reason because it would go into protect around 30 volts on the DMM when setting with a test tone. So i just got a 200 watt 2 channel and some comps. I already have a mono amp and some 12s. The sub amp turns on when the key is in the on position. You can't hear it in the acc position. When I wire my comps and the new amp, will I be able to listen to the radio with the key in the acc position? I usually like to listen to the radio on my lunch break, etc. Will I just have to turn the key to the on position for that?

Ill be putting an indash Nav reciever into my wifes 2011 Nissan Xterra for Christmas, what Im looking for is usb/aux extensions to run from the back of the radio and mount in the cab (preferably in the center console). Does anyone have a prefered kit or method to do this? Ive seen a couple kits on amazon but it seems they are more for boat/RV as they have like 2.5" mounting depths. Any help is appriciated. Thanks

ok so im looking for a head unit and really want a pioneer p800prs but cant find a used one. i was wondering what you guys think about the soundstream touch screens or the new clarion cz500 or the fz709 .because i can get new clarions cheap

Hey guys whats up i was wondering if you guys could give me some input on this amp Id be running it .5 ohm. what is another brand that is comparable to lanzar? Please let me know i might buy one if its good. and what gauge wire is needed to run it with a 180 amp fuse? Thanks guys Billy

ok want to install my amp but i'm not sure where to put the phase at. i have a SAZ-2000D should i just leave it at 0? or where's a good place to put it? i should know what it is. BUT I DON'T :/ maybe i'm missing something here lol thanks!

i have all hyperflex 0 awg, i have a fuse between the alt and battery, at the beginning of and at the end of the run that connects the yellow top to the kinetiks, and from the kinetiks to the amp rack, which also has a anl fused distro. all fuses are 300amp except the 100amp that goes to the clarion amps. will this cause a substantial voltage drop?

I was wondering when i need to upgrade the electrical in my 00' Jeep Grand Cherokee it has a 136 amp alternator. I have but not installed yet a 12" Fi SSD Sub w/copper coils being powered by an AQ 1200D amp at 2ohms. then i have CDT ES620 comps being powered by the AQ 4X90. Sub getting about 900 watts and the Comps getting 240 watts with gains turned down.

Alpine 9811 Kicker 550.3 ED 6000 Had this set up for bout 3 years now no probs but over the last month when i listen to it at 28 and above the treble get all muffled and u cant hear the highs. When i turn it down to say 20-24 for a min or so the treble returns and all is normal. this happen no matter what source i use Ipod/CD/Tuner and it is hap more freq. Is it the HU/Amp/Mid&high??? or RCA cables???

so i am gonna get me a 3000d and i want o be able to run it, my zx650.4 and my car at full tilt sometimes so this is what ive come up with d2700 up front d3100 in back big three in 0/1 and one run back to the saz300d ive got 4ga ran already for the zx650.4 how am i doing so far?

would you guys recommend- 1. running power from battery to the cdplayer instead of using the factory harness? 2. grounding to the fire wall or use the factory harness? deck is the clarion mentioned in my build log (the cheap one that can do active)

just a fast question guys i have an 18" btl fully loaded, i have it running off a saz-2000D. i have my sub wired down to 1 ohm. my question is, should i have my sub wired to the amp bridged or not? right now i dont have it bridged and it slaps hard. but i just saw a vid with the same setup pretty much and his was bridged on the amp thanks an advance fellaz

When you go to knukonceptz.com to order wire and it asks for qty does this mean feet? The wire I'm ordering is $1.75 for 1 qty so I guessing this is the price per foot?

well, just ordered myself an older panasonic CQ-DF903U. Ive had a older 6000 model I think it was and a 702 or something and really liked em both, can only imagine that the 903 is better than both of those. anyone have any experience with this on? wht did you think of it. monday I leave for new jersey to work for 3 weeks and have a free place to stay, free food, no utilities, so when I get back Ill have all the money left and should be getting my amp and sub then. amps looking like a SA SAE1200D to power a HDC312 or a Fi BL12. man I cant wait to get it all and get it installed. just a stock 93 accord, wonder how it will handle the current draw. Since the recent install of my 18" BTL. When I have the windows more than half way up my deck skips real bad.. its a nice pioneer premier. Ill burn a new cd, go spin around for a few hours and my cd has scratch rings under it from the vibration lol.. anyone ever have this problem? what was your solution? Deck is a Pioneer Premier DEH-P780MP

As most of you know, i picked up pioneer 9300 from ebay for a nice cheap price. However, it is DOA..im out $80 Anywhoo... I put the faceplate on my friends 9300, the one that had the face stolen. This was its replacement. The H/U powers up fine, display works, no imfamous line in it. However, i cant use any of the buttons. Nor the remote. Ive reset it, cleaned the points with some glass cleaner, didnt have rubbing alcohol. Still nothing. Does anyone have any idea why it doesnt work ? The older unit worked flawessly, so i know its not the H/U

Has anyone on here ever used a computer as an audio processor? I want to have a rockford 3 sixty style audio processor in my truck and was thinking that i have spare computers and i have heard of people putting imacs in there cars in place of decks so that got me thinking into what expansion cards/audio programs are out there for such purposes? anyone have any thoughts?

Zapco 750.2 or a Kicker 04KX550.2 to run 2 Soundstream T4 12 or 2 Infinity Kappa Prefect 12DVQ which one whould be the best choice to run these subs ?It will be a ported box.

ok im about to hook my system up an im gana put 2 batteries in the trunk there gana be in mdf boxes mounted to the trunk. do i need anything special to do this or can i just put 1/0 wire from front to back with a fuse by the front batt and one infront the back batt.

the resistor sit between the coil and the 12 capacitors thats in the location number r501 on the board if someone has a hc100 please look at it and tell me it should be easy to see being its a plexiglass bottom damn us amp wont tell me they wanted me to send it in but yeah whatever there goes a bad reference for a authorized us amp dealer so i guess we arent gonna do business with them after all please let me know anyone with a hc 100 made in 1999 and maybe other years too

ok so i have a 2006 chevy colorado and im going to be getting a 270 amp singer alternator that comes with an overdrive pulley that adds 30-40 amps. and im pretty dead set on getting an xs battery for a secondary battery and i was wondering what size or model i should get. and i wanted to keep a battery with top posts under the hood and was wondering if i could go with like an optima yellow top under the hood or if i had another option for under the hood? ill be running a crescendo bc3500 on two fi bl 15s.

My H/U only puts out 2v. Figured this could help so I bought one. Im tryna set it to about 5V. Got the cover off and everything. But how do I check what voltage its at? I put a DMM on the outside of the rca plug and it stayd at 0. Put the prongs on the inside and the numbers went crazy! What am I doing wrong? Do I have to have the LD installd and the rca's hookd up before adjusting the voltage?
