i was thinking of adding a mp3 player to my car, i was either thinking ipod mini or creative zen micro, im leaaning toward zen micro now and getting that napster to go and just fill it up with songs, which is hard to beat for getting most any song on there(unless anyone has used it and can say different) although i would like an ipod because of the adapter that will show what song is playing and i can hide the ipod and just use cd player, but no upload of songs with it , gotta buy them old fashion way or used p2p but i was planing on getting this http://www.crutchfield.com/S-F46N3x...asp?I=130CDRB10 for the zen or this for ipod http://www.crutchfield.com/S-F46N3x...sp?I=1…

i'm getting a subs for it and i'm getting 2 rlp12" subs and i was looking into getting a lanzar max pro 2400 watt amp or should i look into getting a differnt one if not whats a good amp will the speakers handle a 2400 amp could they handle a 4000 what amp i dont know much about this stuff so i need help and sealed or ported box i got plenty of money

guys i need your help. i have a sundown sax-1200d powering 2 sa-12s. lately the amp has been making this high pitch noise as soon as i turn my car on, and after 20 minutes of playing it will go into protect mode and it gets pretty hot. is the amp screwed up or is it something else? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Im sorry to waste your guy's time with this one.. im about 99.99% of the answer but I have to ask. I got my order from knukonceptz yesterday, i had ordered 2 of their ANL fuse holders with 2 250A fuses. They sent me 300A fuses. clearly their mistake after checking the confirmation email. Ive been told to fuse to your wire. the wire i have is the KLMX KnuKonceptz wire which states loads up to 250A .. these 2 fuses were meant to go in between 2 batteries (kinetik hc2000 and hc1800) I have the proper fuses for everything else just these 2 that are a little higher than i asked for. Do i gotta go spend the $10 or so and get the right fuses? or even worse wait for knu to send m…

My friend and I are installing this head unit: Dual XDVD8183 All In-Dash Car Stereo Receivers Car Stereo Receivers and Head Units Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix and there is only one output for the subwoofer amp. So instead of a red and white one there is only a blue one for the subwoofer out. There are two normal ones for the front and rear, so could we just use the rear outputs? Also there is a single center output, could you use this along with the single subwoofer out? I can take pictures if needed.

What is a signal processor? How much? Why would you need one?

just got my soundstream xxx6500, on a trade for a componet set, what do you think about it? what comments do you have from people who have one or used one?! any suggestions? will two kinetik 2400 be enough power for it?

Right so im gonna be running an mb quart q150 4 chan amp and a sundown 3500. what i want to do is run the 4 chan off of the stock alt/electrical with big 3 and a yellow top. a friend of mine has a 190 amp alt that he wants to sell me and hes also machinist so he can make brackets and whatever i would need to do this so mounting shouldnt be a problem. i want to have the 2nd alt isolated from the cars electrical and simply dedicated to a bank of batteries (couple kinetic hc2400's or there abouts) he said the alt is internally regulated to 14.8 v. so i guess the question is.. is there anything wrong with running the 2nd alt like this? any hickups or potentially dangerous pro…

I think my remote wire port is going out on my amp. Is this an easy fix? I have it rigged right now with a switch but would like to actually get it fixed. I need help guys

Im looking for a hu im not into the whole dvd players seeing must of them dont put out high output sounds if there is one let me know. The hu im looking for has to have a built in amp and have some good looking color display i looked at a few kenwood jvc etc and im still lost so thought i put this here. The system thats going into my 01 impala so far is a jl audio JX1000/1D amp as far as the speakers ive been looking at some ssa subs but i need to get the hu outta my way 1st. Thank you in advance.

Looking for a little help with my headunit. I have a Kenwood 400U that powers on and runs fine just when i go under audio setting and try to move some of the settings around they dont do anything. The headunit has a subwoofer on and off option and when i try to turn the sub off with the headunit it still plays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

im looking to do the big 3 in my truck. i was wondering if i could do this in 4awg instead of 1/0 since all im running is the setup in my sig and not even 1000 watts. i have no plans of upgrading in the near future, so i figure why not. im gonna be using knu for the wire, and their 4awg is a lot cheaper per foot then the 1/0. also, i have everything i need for my sub and amp and everything, except speaker wire. i was also looking at knu for this. i was wondering what you guys which speaker wire from them, and which gauge you guys would recommend. if you guys could give me some links that would be awesome. Has anybody used/seen/heard anything from the new Audiopipe line? AQ has kinda alienated me recently and I'm looking to go in a different direction.

I am going to be running 4 saz1500 amps. My question is if I were to have the rca's signal go into the input of one amp and then use the outputs on that amp to connect it to the next amps' inputs and I do this for all 4 amps like a chain will there be a noticeable amount of signal delay? Would I be better off getting some form of rca block that has 4 outputs and run each output to it's own amp?

hi, i currently have an alpine pdx 4 100 and today i was messing around with my crossover because i was using my head unit as it and my battery died this morning so i lost everything when i replaced with and ever since i messed with the crossovers it has been going into prottection mode after about 10 mins at full volume ( by full volume i mean 45 out of 62 becuase that is where i set my gains to.) now last time it did this it was hot outside ( 97o) and today it is 92 but the feel like temp is 97 so could that be the problem. i have it mounted on my backseat with them folded up.

Which one should I get? Alpine IVA-W505 Pioneer Avic-D3 Clarion Max 685BT It has to have Ipod hookup, XM, Steering controls, Sub volume Control, and a remote. Question I already have XM will it just hook into any of these. Price is not that big of a factor so Don't pick the cheapest because it is the cheapest. O and I have an 04 Escalade.

Hey guys, I am having an issue with my amp I am wondering if my RCA's are bad, I had them loose in the trunk while my amp was uninstalled, could they have touched and burnt out or something, I didnt tape them off, only the power wire and ground, I didnt think they needed to be taped off as well. But my amp is sounding unright! the output is very low, I turned the gain up to max and it does not sound like a 1200 watt amp should sound, I dont know if that makes sense. I say that because I switched amps, from a eD 9.1 to a RE 12.1, nothing changed except the amp, all wiring is the same, the 9.1 was thumping, I know both amps are different but they are both supposed to put ou…

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. Im sure this is a very basic and easy process but have never done it before. I am wanting to run a battery to my amp and need to know the best way to do it. I have seen people with a battery in their car connected to their amp; would you do this rather than running your amp off of your cars main battery? or is what im seeing more like an extra power source? I'm replacing a friends factory front door speakers and running all after market stuff minus the H/U. Is it possible for me to use a few feet of the factory speaker wire and them solder some 14ga wire to run to the aftermarket amps. I know this sounds really crappy, but this SUV (Ford Edge) is a real sh&t when it comes to going from the door into the cab.
