Recently purchsed a Crossfire vr1000d, hooked it up today and it turns on then about 10 seconds later makes a click sound then switches to protect and right back to power. And does this non stop, Does this mean the amp i have bought is blown? It even does it with just the power, grnd, and remote wire hooked up. To my understanding if it was blown it'd be a solid into protect

the alpine 9887 vs the pioneer p880prs... which would be the better choice? or is there other worthwhile h/u to look into... budget is 300-550 as of now leaning towards pioneer since ive never had a problem w/ my current one

Alright so I had a nine.1 I bought used. Worked great for a couple months then all 4 fuses would blow on it. So I sent it to eD under warranty. Finally recieved one back after like 3 months of waiting. Installed the amp, worked for about 5-10 minutes then did the same thing. The amp was extremely hot to the touch also. eD wasn't much help so I decided to say fudge it and I purchased a used SAZ-1500D from Jacob which should be arriving Monday. I'm looking at this dual headunit and I was wondering if it is a good choice, its only 17RMS but I dont really care I just want to make sure it won't blow up I plan to get a amp for my speakers soon so 17RMS is fine right now. I have read the amp setting tutorial on CA.com and it says to play a 60hz tone and set your gains to the AC voltage for your RMS. My question is wouldn't it be better to set the gains based on your box tuning because the amp puts out more power near box tuning to avoid clipping or would you still use a 60 hz tone? Like my box is tuned to 40 hz wouldn' it be better to tune my system with a 40hz test tone? Correct me if I am wrong, please and since I listen to rap I should use a -3db tone right? And just wondering does anybody know what db tones are used on Bass Mekanik Quad Maximus? Could I use that to set my gains safely?

Ok, I just got this amp from a friend, I was unaware I needed a 300 amp fuse for it, but I hooked it up anyway without one. It works fine without the fuse, but Kicker plainly states it needs the 300 amp fuse. So, I go to a local shop and buy the Kicker fuse holder and a 250 amp anl fuse, they did not have 300 amp fuses so I figured 250 was better than nothing. Also, Kicker recommends 1 gauge minimum, I have 2 gauge power and ground in the car now, I plan to upgrade ALL wire to 1 gauge, but my question is, will the 2 guage hurt the amp while I am scrounging money for wire? I noticed that the right side of the amp gets hot, the Kx lines are supposed to have fans in them so …

how are they? do they have good SQ they throw their rated power? do they sound accurate? is it worth to pay the expensive they are?

well my stock alt (105a) is starting to chit out on me. at red lights, the volts drop real low, and the car sometimes will shut off then back on real fast....its not the batt, i tried it with my stocker, as well as a kinetik 2400. its prally when i played my powerbass xa3000d on the stock batt, and the alt couldnt keep up recharging the batt....

When I installed my Massive P1000.1 amp, I also got a 2 gauge Amp Kit that came with a 80A fuse. I just read the Massive's owners manual, it recomends a 60A fuse. Does using a 80A over a 60A make any difference? When I had my system running, I had the amp powering a SI Mag @ 1 ohm (880W).

i'm getting a subs for it and i'm getting 2 rlp12" subs and i was looking into getting a lanzar max pro 2400 watt amp or should i look into getting a differnt one if not whats a good amp will the speakers handle a 2400 amp could they handle a 4000 what amp i dont know much about this stuff so i need help and sealed or ported box i got plenty of money

hi, i am wondering is doing the big 3 in 4 guage enough for a 2400 rms system? i know using a thicker wire is better but i would like to use stock type connects and the biggest side terninal battery wire is 4 guage that i can find unless i can find like 2 guage then i might be stuck using 4 guage.
