Am using a US Amp MD.3D amp. I got a HO alternator from Nations that push out around 140 Amps at idle and 230 Amps max output. I also have a 2 Farad cap and a battery that is 1000 cranking amps (CA)and 850 CCA. Will this be enough to run this amp without it going into PROTECT mode or shutting off due to the lack of "juice"? What is the "BIG 3"?

I currently have an Alpine 9843 HU in my car which is currently powering 4 Infinity 6022i's. I want to get two 12" BL subs and will be powering them with a sundown 1500d (will be getting a 2nd one when i get more money). I have about 400$ to spend on a new headunit, and would like to get a motorized DVD one, but if i can't get a decent one i'll just get a normal CD player. So, do you guys think i'll need a new HU, and if so any suggestions?

I have been looking at the clarion eqs746 dash mount crossover. Not sure if I like the idea that my head unit has 3 rca outputs and the EQS746 only has one input. I am interested in installing a crossover but was thinking of looking at a trunk mounted model. thoughts??? Opinions???? model suggestions for the trunk mount models??? have been looking at Audio control and I have a MTX RT-X02i used in the 90's looking to improve my current sound output. I feel like I am missing something just haven't figured that out yet.

after seeing some reviews on the audiopipes i was thinking about buying one to see what it really can do. but i wont buy from a dealer that don't have a decent warrenty or a authorized dealer. i saw some rickies electronics or something... the 30001d they said it was 15inches long... i keep getting these "dealers" with false information.

ok so the more and more i keep reading how amps have this now and how you need it if you have a ported box.....which is what i have and i know that my sub amp now DOESNT have one so my question is am i losing bass or quality or anything like that by not having the SSF???

I know that the 3500d is on presale, how does the presale work? Were can I order them and how long does it take before I would receive them.

What are you guys' thoughts on this? It is sort of temporary give or take on how much I like it, I don't like the looks too much but it seems like its fine. I like having the noticable volume and channel changing button also. The USB I have read that you can plug your iPod through the USB and it should work (if it doesn't I have a flash drive or can get a bigger one for ~10$) and it plays cds. I have an iPod touch and I haven't been able to use it because the wireless ones dont work for chit (and differ in each car), I have no tape deck, and all I can play are cd's. Hi, need a small powerfull amp for one ssd 10 dual 2. I think about one Fosgate PUNCH P1000-1BD or one Soundstream Stealth Series STL1.1200D. The Punch is BD class and has 1000watts and the soundstream ab class and has 1,2kw... The amp has to be stable and powerfull but most importantly SMALL..... Whats the better choice?? Patrick

I am never one to cut corners, on the flip side I am one to over build. I am ditching Iraggi alternators cuz their service SUCKS and I am going excessive amperage. I will be getting another HO alt and 2 more big AGM batteries and doing some more runs of ott. 1st off, do you guys recommend I get a missinglinkaudio voltage regulator? Anyway, should I get dual 4 ohm XXXs for the VAN and go 2 ohm, or should I run dual 2 at 1 ohm since I should have good electrical to back it up? So my car has been dieing after sitting overnight. It won't start in the morning. I have been leaving it on the charger overnight. I have an Optima Red Top under the hood and a 55ah SR12-205FR Super Rate Series in the trunk. I took the trunk batt out at Autozone and the guy tried to test it and said it was at 10.xx volts and he couldn't run the test with it that low. He said that I have to do a trickle charge on this batt, it can't be charged with a regular charge. Is this true? Then we tested the red top (with the trunk batt still disconected) and it was resting at 12.41 volts and read as a bad batt. The Autozone guy said it should be around 12.45 volts and I should tri…

So my friend bought a Lanzar MaxP1200 (for some reason) and he proceeded to changes his (3) 30A fuses to (3) 40A fuses because he said that the bigger the fuse the better. Now, in my head it seems like the amp was rated at 90A for a reason but i dont know shit about fuses. So, by changing the fuses, is he screwing things up?

Hey guys i just installed my new Alpine CDA-9886 deck and a pair of Infinity Kappa components and they just are not loud by any means i have set my gains on the 2 channel amp running them (MTX 502X). Now i am really confused the amp's birthsheet said it was rated at 69 watts rms per channel and my factory speakers in the back are louder. Any input would help thanks in advance. Brian

Hello, iv just been looking around for a battery and oddly enough i found a marine AMG battery in my dads garage. Its a Cabela's Advanced Angler "Group Size 30" battery. Do any of you guys know what's the maximum unclipped output voltage for a PG tantrum 1200.1 at 3 ohms?

Lately my cars "radio" fuses have been blowing not the fuse on the hu but the cars radio fuse. First time the fuse blew when I first turned the car on.. Which was weird since I never had a fuse go out on me since I had the hu a year or so now. So I went and pick up more fuses (8amp Volvos standard) put one in worked fine at idle went down the road turned the hu volume up half way and just as the bass hit the fuse popped!. So the next day I took the hu out looked around checked ground power etc nothing was wrong ( besides a big mess Of wires and rcas) placed another fuse in with the hu out and banged on it for 20mins zero problems. Put it all back in. Worked perfect for 4…

guys i need your help. i have a sundown sax-1200d powering 2 sa-12s. lately the amp has been making this high pitch noise as soon as i turn my car on, and after 20 minutes of playing it will go into protect mode and it gets pretty hot. is the amp screwed up or is it something else? any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks
