So, I just picked up an 07 Mazda 3, and if you have seen these cars... they have a b*tch of a dash. (For aftermarket head units). I have already picked out a few dash kits and such. Plus, the mazda has steering wheel controls just for the radio so it would be cool if I could keep those if there is a head unit that I could hook up to those. And if not... then that is a bummer. So basically I'm looking for a decent head unit that can possibly hook up to the steering wheel. I would like the head unit to not look "out of place" as well. Basically not look like crap. Not to worried about budget right now until i get further into it but I would like some suggestions that fit my…

im looking to do the big 3 in my truck. i was wondering if i could do this in 4awg instead of 1/0 since all im running is the setup in my sig and not even 1000 watts. i have no plans of upgrading in the near future, so i figure why not. im gonna be using knu for the wire, and their 4awg is a lot cheaper per foot then the 1/0. also, i have everything i need for my sub and amp and everything, except speaker wire. i was also looking at knu for this. i was wondering what you guys which speaker wire from them, and which gauge you guys would recommend. if you guys could give me some links that would be awesome. THANKS! for any info you guys can give.

I am going to be running 4 saz1500 amps. My question is if I were to have the rca's signal go into the input of one amp and then use the outputs on that amp to connect it to the next amps' inputs and I do this for all 4 amps like a chain will there be a noticeable amount of signal delay? Would I be better off getting some form of rca block that has 4 outputs and run each output to it's own amp?

I did an install way back, maybe 15 years ago on an 88 Nissan p/u. New speaker wire all around, two amps, amp board behind seat, tho whole enchilada. The 1st time i ever attempted such a thing. My p/u had a fiberglass shell that attached to the cab via a rubber boot. There was a carpet kit in the bed of the truck which held my sealed box with two 10" JL subs powered by an old school Rockford amp (Punch DSM). I had Pioneers for speakers powered by another Rockford 4 way. A set of 6.5's in the doors, and a set of 6x9's in the back installed into the carpet kits cubbys that it had. I also use an external 6 channel MTX crossover. I was in college. It was definitely a budget b…

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this. Im sure this is a very basic and easy process but have never done it before. I am wanting to run a battery to my amp and need to know the best way to do it. I have seen people with a battery in their car connected to their amp; would you do this rather than running your amp off of your cars main battery? or is what im seeing more like an extra power source? Answers are greatly appriciated ! Thanks.

  19. I recently picked up a 05 Impala, and due to a problem with my other car, am stripping out the wiring kit in it to throw in the impala. I have an Aftermarket deck in my other car (A Grand Am), but I believe it has a short or something thats screwing up my electrical system >=( Anyhow, I had a buddy do my wiring on the Grand Am, and since I didn't have a precut hole in the firewall, he ran it by the side of the door. Only problem is, in Arizona, the heat and weather is horrible, so the wire is hella faded and looks like it is being rubbed or something. So obviously I'm going to need to replace that. My question however is : Is there a hole already in the firewall that w…

I have an 07 LT Suburban, which I believe has the 160amp alternator. I want to run a dual alternator system for my truck because I'm about to install a hi-powered audio system in the truck. I'm trying to find a kit that will allow me to keep my factory alt while running another 250 - 300 amp alt that will run independent from the factory system. So in theory the second alternator would only power the two additional batteries that will be in the truck. Nothing factory related would be power by the second alt. Anyone have any ideal? I'm open to all suggestions. However if someone here is already running dual alt and advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Ive read several different things about this amplifier throughout this forum. Some people say its a good amp but only does its power at 2 Ohm.. i goto the actual website and it appears its stable at 1 ohm. let me cut to the chase. Friend needs a budget amp for his Fi Q 12" sub. Found a audiopipe 1500d on craigslist locally that is for sure in the budget. Guy says its hooked up so we can hear it work before purchasing. If this amp isnt 1 ohm stable then its pretty much worthless to us, since the fi Q is a dual 2 ohm sub and were planning on 1 ohm stable here. im going to attach a picture of the amp. If you guys know FOR SURE about these amp's please post, i appreciate it. …
