The pioneer 880PRS / P80RS has an internal amplifier that can be be turned on and off as required. 1. Can the unit be used in network mode and still use the internal amplifier to output to the front and rear channels? 2. if the channels are still powered in network mode, do they have filtering on them? and can front/rear balance still be controlled from the headunit? So i just got a 200 watt 2 channel and some comps. I already have a mono amp and some 12s. The sub amp turns on when the key is in the on position. You can't hear it in the acc position. When I wire my comps and the new amp, will I be able to listen to the radio with the key in the acc position? I usually like to listen to the radio on my lunch break, etc. Will I just have to turn the key to the on position for that?

Hey Friends... I just wanted to know how do you have your music hooked up? Are you running your wires from the battery or from the positive on the alternator? Right now I have 2 TC Sound 18' Ultra lLMS with a 200 amp alternator one red top batt one 1400 kinetik and 4 hc2000 kinetiks with one IA40.1 amp waiting on the other one. My plan is run two or three lines with the big three already done. I am trying to keep my volts up pass 13.5 when the bass hits. Please advise me on what to do. Im sorry to waste your guy's time with this one.. im about 99.99% of the answer but I have to ask. I got my order from knukonceptz yesterday, i had ordered 2 of their ANL fuse holders with 2 250A fuses. They sent me 300A fuses. clearly their mistake after checking the confirmation email. Ive been told to fuse to your wire. the wire i have is the KLMX KnuKonceptz wire which states loads up to 250A .. these 2 fuses were meant to go in between 2 batteries (kinetik hc2000 and hc1800) I have the proper fuses for everything else just these 2 that are a little higher than i asked for. Do i gotta go spend the $10 or so and get the right fuses? or even worse wait for knu to send m…

alright i plan on running 2 18" subs. i have them in my car (91 civic hatch) so its a tight space. they are already in the car there right behind the seats 2 boxes side by side. and the subs are facing me. do i need to switch the amp phase to 180* since they are right behind my head lol or keep it at 0? its pretty much a wall setup. the subs are just angled back a little bit. im not 100 percent sure about the phase setting yet.

Does anyone have in experience with the kenwood dnx9990 or the pioneer avic-z150? I'm seriously thinking about going over my budget and save up for one of these..if there is anything better please post up a link

ok so i have a 2006 chevy colorado and im going to be getting a 270 amp singer alternator that comes with an overdrive pulley that adds 30-40 amps. and im pretty dead set on getting an xs battery for a secondary battery and i was wondering what size or model i should get. and i wanted to keep a battery with top posts under the hood and was wondering if i could go with like an optima yellow top under the hood or if i had another option for under the hood? ill be running a crescendo bc3500 on two fi bl 15s.

this might sound noobish but i wasnt sure. im getting an aq2200d, but im not going to be running it at 1 ohm, im going to be running it at 2 ohms for the time being. the question is, do i need to up the battery and treat like im running it at 1 ohm (2200 W)? i think i should be fine off my stock battery since im only pusing ~1300 watts correct?

So I've tried both my HU and Ipod for a source to my amp and wired the amp to 2 different subs at different impedances. Always turns out the same way, some rattling sound coming from the speaker. So Obviously it's the amp because I've tried two of everything else. The "sound" plays with the signal, not with engine RPM, so I know it's not related to my ground. You can hear it at low volume with gain turned up just enough for sound to come out. I think it's also causing my amp to go into protect mode prematurely for some reason because it would go into protect around 30 volts on the DMM when setting with a test tone. So, I just picked up an 07 Mazda 3, and if you have seen these cars... they have a b*tch of a dash. (For aftermarket head units). I have already picked out a few dash kits and such. Plus, the mazda has steering wheel controls just for the radio so it would be cool if I could keep those if there is a head unit that I could hook up to those. And if not... then that is a bummer. I have 2 kicker l7 15 inch subwoofers in a dodge charger,the amp i had was a kole audio 2400 watt amp it cost 150 dollars brand new..well the amp took a dump and i was lokking into the audioque 2200 for my subs there the o6 model kicker at 1000 rms..i wanted to know if anyone has heard or has one of these amps?and would it push my subs pretty hard?sorry for my spelling lol i got the big 3 and gonna be getting a kinetic batt soon.

i am considering purchasing a pc2150 from a forum member. is it possible to put this battery under the hood or is it exclusively a second battery? i am running a zx2500.1 and a 200 amp alt. i need a new stock battery and i need a car audio battery. was hoping i could solve both problems with this one battery.

I have a 1998 Mitsubishi eclipse rs. Yesterday I tried taking out the stock head unit and putting in my Sony after market. I realized I messed up the the stock wiring harness. The wires no longer are plugged into the harness plug, just out hanging. I tried starting the car and the engine doesn't turn over all I get it a weird clicking sound coming from the dash. Battery is fully charged, lights work, heat/ac work. What could be wrong??

Hey guys I'm kind of new to building and wiring (I've done a couple of installs but I still like to learn). My question is what type of electrical system I should go with. I'm aiming to have TWO Sundown SAZ-1500D's and TWO RE-SX 12's. My question is what type of battery setup I should need to upgrade to. I've been looking at running an Optima Yellow Top D75/25 battery up front and an Optima Yellow Top D34/78 in the back. I don't have much info on some of the other brands to run like XS Power, BatCap, or Kinetik. Any info is much appreciated. I've been following the site for some time now and really like everything I've seen (the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe build is sick).

Looking for a little help with my headunit. I have a Kenwood 400U that powers on and runs fine just when i go under audio setting and try to move some of the settings around they dont do anything. The headunit has a subwoofer on and off option and when i try to turn the sub off with the headunit it still plays. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for some quick advice on what I need and what gauge wire, I really would rather purchase this before hand then get overcharge at the shop. Hi , I will buy a 2500-3000 watts amplifier when I find a good deal. With my 2 amps (Sundown saz1500 and sax 50.4 bridged) I have no voltage drops, no dimming lights. But I know my stock battery will have trouble with a more powerful bass amplifier. I don't want to change that stock battery : it's 2.5 year-old but still very strong ! I did add a 0 ga wire from batt(-) to ground and another 0 ga wire from engine block to batt(-). I can't access the alt, it's under a lot of things ! Here is my question : how bad is it to just add an AGM batt in the back ? Will it hurt my stock batt ? I can have access to Yellowtop, XS, or Kinetic locally. The Yellowtops are the less expens…
