I am soon to be grabbing a new sub amp and was offered a new taramps 5k for a pretty good price. I have just read several times on the questionable durability/reliability of the taramps name. Is it worth it to spend near to twice the price for the same power? I am seriously torn here... For what it's worth, 2 xcons or ethos will be on the receiving end of whatever amp I choose. Most likely xcon as I already have one.

Hey guys! Hopefully someone can help me with this. I'm going to redo my whole sound system and I was going to get a h/o alternator but my stock alternator went out so i had to buy another stock one. So my question is will I be able to add a h/o alternator to my truck with the stock one that I currently have? and if so what do I need to make it work. Please help!!

I'm thinking about a PRS-80 to replace my Kenwood KDC 896. Its a very good quality deck, but there's not many audio adjustments and the interface is hard to use while driving. Would the PRS-80 be a considerable upgrade from a SQ and ease of use standpoint? . If anyone has a better suggestion for a head unit or maybe an alternative (Sound processors) please let me know. My Kenwood KDC-MP342U won't save settings after i turn the head unit off. I did the install, had to hardwire with the wires, the factory harness was cut out from the previous owner, i used butt connectors. Truck in sig. Here is a video -- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-fRHgeJgcko

i installed the audiocontrol epicenter today, and it did well on what i want it to do, add bass to the mexican songs i hear, but when i wanted something low, like jeezy or decaf music, i was dissappointed, it didnt hit that low as before, the subsonic filter is at 33hz, which my box is tuned at 33hz, how can i buy a new subsonic filter that would be lower than 30 thanks

Hi I have a Pioneer AVH-P4000 headunit and I love everything about it except I have not found a way to bypass the dvd player. Does any1 have some ideas on how it can be done, or does any1 have this headunit and know how? Any input will be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm about to purchase an amp for my ssa dcon and was wondering if a 12dB/octave slope would be sufficient on the low pass filter. I heard many people having a 24dB/octave slope and keeping it that way for their subs. My high pass filter is 12dB by the way. Any thoughts??

Well, i just spent the last few days researchin this myth of Iraggi alts and kinetik batts dont go together... That sounds stupid, i know, but people have problems so i decided to try and find the answer. What i have found is interesting if you didn't know so hopefully this will help those that already have their batts and those planning on purchasing as well. A long time ago in China there was..... so this guy is wantin to buy my saz1500 for $300(which i turned down) or trade me a dd m1a. i told him id be screwin myself out of 300w rated power and more "real" power. then he says saz is rated at 1500 @ 14.4v so i brought up jacobs testing thread and proved that it does well over 1500 at 12.8. so he goes on to say the dd is actually a better quality built amp and will be about even with the saz at 1ohm cuz the dd's 1200 rating is at 11.4v. and he said he needs a amp thats half ohm stable even though they r both 1ohm stable he knows the the saz can take a .5 load. which the saz can actually go lower ohm wise. i told him to throw something or some 80 cash (i need a reco…

I have a DD M3a and when I see set ups on youtube or forums they have 3k or 2.5k or 4500Ds I want to know if my amp is around the same as the ones they use. So my question is what is the DD M3a similar too in output, their site says 2200 at 1 ohm, but everyone says they are underrated and get to 5k at .5. And lets assume my electrical is good enough for a .5 load. What amps would be very similar? SAZ-3500D? DC 3.5k?

Hey everyone, just a simple and quick question. Is there any real difference in the two types of fuses other than the fact ANL typically has a higher current rating on it? I was wanting to use a 120A AGU fuse for my setup since the max draw of my amp is 120A, but I just wanted to know if there is any real difference between the two. Thanks!

if you have 2 mono amps and you strap them are u getting double the power to that one channel on the master amp? Does it effect ur ohm load to the master amp from ur subs? like if you wire ur subs together to get 1 ohm would you still get 1 ohm power from the master even if it was strapped? thanks

I'm trying to hook up my amp/subs to my factory bose radio in my 91 Legend. I've got an ssa dcon 10", alpine mrp-m350, knukonceptz 8-gauge wiring kit, and pac soem-t speaker to rca converter. I've tapped the rear speakers correctly and cannot get the amp to power on at all! I've tried different ground points. I'm connecting the blue wire from the pac loc converter to my amps remote connector b/c the pac says that is built in remote. The yellow wire which teh pac says to connect to a 12v constant source is connected to my bose amp power line from the headunit. Do I need to run a seperate remote line or find a different 12v source? I'de just buy a whole new headunit, but m…

Ok, so this is my firts time actually building a legit system. I had 2 sundown sa 12's before but it wasn't enough so I'm going with Zv2 12's. I plan on running them off of a Crescendo BC3500D @ 1ohm. I have the Big 3 done in RF 1/0. The 1/0 going to the back will be replaced with something OFC. But other than that what will I need to sufficiently power this amplifier?

Alright guys i finally got my FI Dual 1 ohm 12 Bl today and went to installing the sub. As I turned on my deck i received sound from the speakers but no sound came from the subwoofer. 1. I checked the amp (Alpine MRP-1000) Amp light turns on. 2. I checked the rCA'S even switched the RCA'S between both amps no sound from the subwoofer. 3. I checked the deck and switched the subwoofer rca's from subwoofer input and rear space input. still no sound 4.
