Hey all.I have a question about wiring subs.I have 2 dual 4 ohm subs.Now I know to wire to 1 ohm i would connect + to + and - to - on each sub then run a wire from the + on one sub to the + on the other and the same thing with the -.Ok here is my question.I just got a different box today.I dont have enough speaker wire to do it the way i mentioned above and plus i would ave to run the wire behind the port and I dont know if that would be ok or not.So what i did was wire each sub to 2 ohm by itself by connecting + + and - - on each sub.SO,when i connect both subs to my amp that way will it still be a 2 ohm load or what will he load be?Thanks

I can get my hands on a Kar 1000.2t and I just wondered if there were any good, mostly from a SQ perspective but for a daily driver not that fancy. Long story short, I'm keeping the factory Nav/HDD/BLUETOOTH/IOD/DVD/MP3 head unit in my '11 Ram. I installed a PAC OEM-1 (OEM-CHR3) for the plug and play ease plus remote turn on from the can bus system. My question is on setting the output levels of the OEM-1. I installed the OEM-1 and just turned all four outputs on the LOC all the way up. Is this correct? Is there any reason I wouldn't want them all the way up to feed the amplifiers the highest signal level?

anyone know much about this amp? EARTHQUAKE PHD5000W. I never really heard of this company before are they any good? real rating or not?

i have a hk-802sx, i have 4 L7 15s D2 and can wire 2 Parallel/Parallel for .5ohms witch the amp can do 2200wrms x 2 or i can leave the current way all 4 wired Series/Parallel @ 1ohm. i was wanting to try it at .5ohms but b4 i take all the subs out and rewire i thought id ask and see what ppls thoughts on this, pros or cons???.. any input would be great.

what companies should i look into? id have to email all for quotes and if they can even make me one, but i want the biggest alt i can get for the Mini. i just PMed nate @ EA, i believe i emailed iraggi months ago but i will prally email him again becuase i forgot what quote he gave me. stinger maybe? powermaster? what others are there? any help is appreciated.

Alright guys I know this kind of question has been asked before but I just wanted to make sure what will be right for me. I already tried searching for a long time but haven't really found my answer. So I just bought a SAZ-2000D from Mark for my subs and I already have a JBL 4 channel amp for my mids and highs. So what I am trying to figure out is if I should upgrade my alt or just get a second battery. I already have a yellow top upfront and I have the factory 145 amp alt. My system would be around 2500 watts but judging by how the SAZ-2000D did on Jacob's clamp test I'm guessing my system will be close to 3000 watts. Ok so I have an Adassa Audio The Warlord amp and I was setting the gains with a 50hz test tone and a dmm and right when I got it at 70 volts it started to fluctuate. It went down to 66v then 60v then 50 and so on. It got to the point where I turned up the gain 100% and it was only giving out 51v!! I shut everything down and waited a while because the amp was hot and when I tried to set the gains again it worked for a while (stayed at 70v) but then dropped back to 60v. I now think something is wrong with the amp. Has anyone heard of this problem? I am thinking about sending it to Chris at db-r.... opinions? Thanks!

When my friend turns up the volume on his head unit, his door speakers cut out. It sounds like a skipping cd. They will cut back on and then right back off. Setup: Infiniti 6.5 in front Cheap dual 6x9s in rear Dual XD 7500

Hi everyone im going to be running a kicker component set for my front stage and in my back seat i will have selenium super tweeters the component set is 4 ohms, but the super tweeters are 8 ohms, the component set is 100rms per pair (driver and tweeter) and the super tweeters are 100rms each. i plan to buy a sundown 100.4 now for the speaker system. is it ok to run everything per channel? what ohm load would everything be? i assume 4ohm and is that ok for the supertweeters? this all sounded good in my head but now physically its lookin a mess lol... please dont judge my decision to get supertweeters, i know i will enjoy them.. this would be my first build with supert…

now i know how to mod the MTX 81000D, but i was wondering if anyone knew, to mod the 1000D to run @ 1 ohm, is it the same as to mod the 81000D?

I have an MTX Thunder 8100 mono amp that I bought new a while back and Im wondering what the REAL output of it is broken down by ohm load. Anybody ever used one of these? I had it on 2 HX2 12's but Im wondering how it would do on 2 SSA Icon 12's. Would it suffice?

So i'm kind of new in car audio and i was wondering if i have a 2 4 ohm HDS212 and i wire them down to 1 ohm would a Q1-750 be enough power or should i go bigger?

All head units that I know say that each channel is rated at 4 ohms, almost every single infinity speaker that is made is rated at 2 ohms. Is it possible to put an infinity speaker such as Infinity Kappa 63.9i on each channel of a head unit? whats the best way to move my starter battery from under my hood to my cargo area? im gonna have airbags and theres not gonna be much room at ALL under there, so im gonna move my battery to the cargo, and just have all my batteries back there. should i just remove the little ring thing on the factory pos. wire and extend it to the rear of my car, and then just ground the battery somewhere in the back? or should i remove both pos and neg factory wires, and run a new pos wire to the rear(still grounding the battery somewhere in the back) if so, what ga. wire should i use? im kinda scared to do this cuase there is other things coming out of the pos factory wire under the hoo…

I have a 2008 yukon with a stock alt...if i were to add a second alt,say a dc xp 280...can i leave my stock alt running the stock battery...then have my dc alt powering 3 xs3400...

ive already got the big 3 all done in 1/0 with terminals soldered and all the goods, but im gonna install the alt soon and i was wondering if its necessary to double up on the 1/0 or no? and it says in the paperwork to add another ground from the closest ear on the alt to the frame..is that necessary too or just a good idea?

Hey guys. once again i'm having another problem..my head unit isn't getting any power. I went to instal my voltage meter that i got today and then the no power problem started. I finished installing the voltage meter and everything was working fine. I pulled the head unit back down to put the RCA cables back in and it seemed like the music volume started to get lower and lower. I finished everything and picked the HU back up to put it back into the dash and everything just quit working. hey all i am currently in the market for a solid 1500-2000rms amplifier to power my IA lethal injections. i have narrowed it down to either a rockford fosgate t1500bd or an american bass 120.1. I will be doing a small amount of competing but mostly just daily listening. I can get them for almost the same price but just cant decide which one would suit me better. my electrical will consist of probably just a second larger battery in the back and the big 3. give me some pros and cons of each amp if ya could! thanks!
