Hey Friends... I just wanted to know how do you have your music hooked up? Are you running your wires from the battery or from the positive on the alternator? Right now I have 2 TC Sound 18' Ultra lLMS with a 200 amp alternator one red top batt one 1400 kinetik and 4 hc2000 kinetiks with one IA40.1 amp waiting on the other one. My plan is run two or three lines with the big three already done. I am trying to keep my volts up pass 13.5 when the bass hits. Please advise me on what to do. Do I need better batteries or 16v batteries. Do I need a Isolator or not when hooking up four or more batteries? I will be flying back to the states in two days and if some one could help m…

i have stock electrical, just one 4 gauge run to my alpine pdx 1.600 amp (600rms, 730 peak), but my gauges/instruments dim down to about 50% and my headlights dim terribly. will the big three in 1/0 or 2 gauge solve this problem? i have a 2003 vw passat, im pretty sure my alt does 90 amps..

Just wondering when this is required? When your batteries rest at a low voltage or?

Hey everyone I need ur help on this setup of mine. I want to get two audio q 2200 amps powering 2 fi btls. How do I make sure that both amps are drawing the same amount of power and giving OUT the same amount of power to each sub?

i have all hyperflex 0 awg, i have a fuse between the alt and battery, at the beginning of and at the end of the run that connects the yellow top to the kinetiks, and from the kinetiks to the amp rack, which also has a anl fused distro. all fuses are 300amp except the 100amp that goes to the clarion amps. will this cause a substantial voltage drop?

Am not sure on this so correct me please if am wrong. I currently have a AQ2200 and was wanting to make sure am setting my gains correctly. I want to get as much clean power out of this amp as I can to really push my 15" IA DP. I spoke to the guy at AQ and he said that this amp is around 86% efficient. So just to be on the safe side lets just say its 85%. So 0.85 X 2200 gives us 1870 watts. Am running the amp at 1 ohm so would setting my gain to around 43.0 volts sound right. Oh yea, all my electrical have been upgraded (220 HO alt. extra batt, 2 runs of 0 gauge for the big 3.) Does Anyone know if this amp can run at 0.5 ohms, if so what type of power does it produce. Planning on running a sundown 3k and another amp for mids/highs I'm gonna buy a 160amp alternator for my little '97 tercel (its the highest output alt they make for it) I guess I will run a deka under the hood? Big 3 upgrade Will I need another deka to put in the back? And how would I go about wiring those 2 amps to 2 different batteries?

Amplifier: Rockford Fosgate T-1000bd Recently whenever I turn on my amplifier, regardless of the vehicle running or any input signal from he head unit, just subwoofer on solely, my subwoofer proceeds to violently shit itself. The noise is absolutely terrible. It's just a one pitch note (pitch varies) and is always extremely loud. This has actually been going on for a while. The noise will happen very sporadically and for different lengths of time. I can go a week without the amplifier doing this or I can go one solid month with the noise every time I turn on the amp, no break. metal sleeve will probably work from lots of pioneers but im not sure, and have no idea about cross compatability with the trim ring, but its probably the same throughout the line. just opened the box with my deck inside it and it didnt have these items. and before I bid I asked this motherpucker if they were included, and he replied and said yes they were. I took it out a few days ago and it had a 3.2v charge. A few min later it had a 1.2v charge, then 0.0v. Idk why it did this, or what I can do. But it sucks. Thoughts?

Hey guys I'm kind of new to building and wiring (I've done a couple of installs but I still like to learn). My question is what type of electrical system I should go with. I'm aiming to have TWO Sundown SAZ-1500D's and TWO RE-SX 12's. My question is what type of battery setup I should need to upgrade to. I've been looking at running an Optima Yellow Top D75/25 battery up front and an Optima Yellow Top D34/78 in the back. I don't have much info on some of the other brands to run like XS Power, BatCap, or Kinetik. Any info is much appreciated. I've been following the site for some time now and really like everything I've seen (the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe build is sick).

Going through some stuff I had in the attic and I ran across a Hifonics Thor Series VII amp Hooked it up in my truck and it works great. Only rated at 250 watts but running it bridged with a kicker 10" truck box and it pounds! Anyone know much about this relic? and of course I find it a month after buying a kicker zx400.1 amp for my Trans Am...would of used it and saved some cash.

My SAZ-3000 arrived today and I have two powermaster batteries on the way (D5100R, D3100.) I'm looking for ways to run 2 connections of 1/0 in addition to the factory cable to my D5100R and two 1/0 per terminal for the D3100. I'm trying not to buy 4 expensive Stinger type battery terminals. Can someone please show me some options of how to do this in a way that functions and looks nice but won't cost $80 to $100. Pictures of your setup would be nice. Thanks

I was working on modifying the amp rack over the weekend and decided to put the DMM back on and make sure nothing has moved. When I first set the amp I had 44.7 volts with the 50 Hz tone with volume of 27 out of 35. I have no bass boost turned on the amp and all settings on the deck are flat. Now.... bought it off sonicelectronix.com the website not the ebay store and everything works fine, the only thing i'm having an issue with is the fact that a week ago the dvd player showed video while the car was in park and now with the parking brake applied and the emergency brake, it still says "audio only" i'm thinkin theres a loose connection somewhere, worst case scenario i hope it's not the head unit itself. any advice?

Got my alternator in and hooked up today, but had a few issues. First of all, the new alt came with a different plug. One of the wires was longer than the other three, and it was in the exact same place that there was a wire on the original plug (the original is a 4-pin, but there is only one wire leading into it. This one wire is in the same location as the one long wire in the new plug). I decided to just use the old plug, as the other three plugs on the new pin are insignificant. Hey guys! Ok, Im about to get two amps for my pickup (JL Audio Slash v2 300/2v2 & JL Audio G1700). I plan on putting them under my seats and both will be powered by 4 gauge cable. My question is this, what scenario would be better (electrically speaking only): 1. I run a 0 gauge from the battery into a distribution block with two 4 gauge outputs to my amps (all fuses will be properly placed). 2. I just run the two 4 gauge cables from my battery directly to the amps (all fuses will be properly placed).
