Ive read several different things about this amplifier throughout this forum. Some people say its a good amp but only does its power at 2 Ohm.. i goto the actual website and it appears its stable at 1 ohm. let me cut to the chase. Friend needs a budget amp for his Fi Q 12" sub. Found a audiopipe 1500d on craigslist locally that is for sure in the budget. Guy says its hooked up so we can hear it work before purchasing. If this amp isnt 1 ohm stable then its pretty much worthless to us, since the fi Q is a dual 2 ohm sub and were planning on 1 ohm stable here. im going to attach a picture of the amp. If you guys know FOR SURE about these amp's please post, i appreciate it. …

I'm trying to find info about power wire / fuse for this amp but coming up short on answers. I'm not planning on bridging the amp so all channels stereo. The car alt is 110 with big three in 4g. Being that this amp is extremely effiecient will my stock alt / batt be enough? As for fuses I'm at a complete loss as this amp does not come with any internal fusing. My goal is obviously run an inline and also have a fused distro block, even tho this will be the only amp. Probably a stupid question but I just want to properly have this amp protected. Im not partial to either 4g or 1g for the power so either would be fine.

im looking to do the big 3 in my truck. i was wondering if i could do this in 4awg instead of 1/0 since all im running is the setup in my sig and not even 1000 watts. i have no plans of upgrading in the near future, so i figure why not. im gonna be using knu for the wire, and their 4awg is a lot cheaper per foot then the 1/0. also, i have everything i need for my sub and amp and everything, except speaker wire. i was also looking at knu for this. i was wondering what you guys which speaker wire from them, and which gauge you guys would recommend. if you guys could give me some links that would be awesome. THANKS! for any info you guys can give.

would it be a benifit for to use a huge distro block to tie all my electrical together? heres what i need to tie in 6-8 runs from alternators 6 batteries and 8 runs to the amps. i cant use buss bars because of how my batteries are arranged. could i just route everything to a big block and run power from there to my amps? i may not have explained that well... it makes sence in my head.

My amp blew today:( so now i'm in the market for a new amp asap! I figured i'm just going to re do all the electrical because i was just using two o reilly batterys (not the best idea, i know) I'm running the 2 sa15s still in my Jimmy. I'm thinking I might run 2 xs power d1200's (unless you guys have other suggestions) I'm not really positive on my battery budget until I get the amp bought. I'm trying to keep my amp budget right around $500. Thanks guys!

All head units that I know say that each channel is rated at 4 ohms, almost every single infinity speaker that is made is rated at 2 ohms. Is it possible to put an infinity speaker such as Infinity Kappa 63.9i on each channel of a head unit? My friend wants to upgrade his car speakers and go with these so I wanted to know if its safe and what Infinity says is true? True Four Ohms— All Kappa speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance “seen” by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Kappa Speakers has been adjusted to…

I have read all over and i cannot find anything on how to tune a vocal amp. I'm buying a Sundown 125.2 from a friend of mine and hooking it up to my stock door speakers. i eventually will upgrade but for now i think my stock speakers will sound cleaner then off my h/u. and another question what ohm are stock speakers usually? or do i need to find that in my manual?

Hey guys, Just wondering if you could give me some insight on this. When I start to play a new song the front speakers start playing about half a second before the rear ones... The front ones are on an amp, the rear ones are going into the HU... any idea on this?

So i'm currently running a 12" Icon and while it's an awesome sub, Im wanting to go bigger already. I just want to push a lot more air. I'm pretty set on an 18" Fi BL or maybe 2 18" Q's. I'm wanting to feed it more power though also so Im thinking of either buying another 1000D and strapping them together, or selling my 1000D and picking up a 3000D. Would that be overkill? Ive got an Eddie Bauer Explorer(v8) and already have the Big 3 upgrade. I'll be picking up an Iraggi alt. and a Yellow Top as well. Would I need to run two batteries with this setup?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, so move it if needed. Does anyone know if the Termlab with RTA Option (which includes the Oscilloscope function) can use a probe or does it only use the Microphone for the RTA? In other words, can it be used to test the preamp outputs and the amplifier outputs for clipping instead of using a dedicated O-Scope. By the time I price out an O-Scope and RTA I'm pretty much at the price of a Termlab. Thanks, Bob.

hey firstly im new here so hello everyone as the title states i have a problem firstly my set up 0guage from batt to 80a fuse to 10a fuse to head unit and a 2guage to a distro block powering 3 amps (through 4 guage wire) 1 4 channel and 2 2 channels then 4 guage to another distro then 2guage to a hole that used to house a clip for the trim in the side of the boot (metal is thin, maybe this is the problem?). the remote from the HU goes into a 2 channel then piggybacks from there to the other 2 amps. The problem i put in 6 new speakers into the car (well 4 and a set of splits) and my 4 channel to run them (the 2 channels are not connected to the subs right now because the…

Looking at going with a 16v setup so id like to pick up a 16v charger. Just wondering which everyone prefers and why. It's in between the turbo start 25A charger and the xs power 16v intelicharger or xs power 16v hf charger. Also what are the benifits of the two xs power chargers vs each other. I figure the hf is a cater charge but I don't know. Thanks. Btw I'm using the xs power batts

I did an install way back, maybe 15 years ago on an 88 Nissan p/u. New speaker wire all around, two amps, amp board behind seat, tho whole enchilada. The 1st time i ever attempted such a thing. My p/u had a fiberglass shell that attached to the cab via a rubber boot. There was a carpet kit in the bed of the truck which held my sealed box with two 10" JL subs powered by an old school Rockford amp (Punch DSM). I had Pioneers for speakers powered by another Rockford 4 way. A set of 6.5's in the doors, and a set of 6x9's in the back installed into the carpet kits cubbys that it had. I also use an external 6 channel MTX crossover. I was in college. It was definitely a budget b…

Hey guys Im having issues trying to find a decent mounting kit for my dime. I have a 2000 but I have gone from 1.5 DIN to 2 DIN. THe thing I dont like is that I had to cut the plastic piece that the OEM stereo rested on. So now the HU I have just kinda floats. I was wondering if anyone knows of a mounting kit that will stop this, something like a pocket that it will slide into. Thanks in advance.

I've been searching for a while but can't find what I'm really looking for. I'm looking for a headunit with about the same capabilities as the H701. Currently I have Peerless 8s in my doors (going to seal my doors soon), seas tweeters and 4 inch speakers in sealed kickpanels, and four Sundown audio 8inch subs on the rear deck with a sealed box under them. I planned on 3 way active front stage and the subs (so would that be 4 way? haha..idk). I bought the H701 and controller from a guy on here last year but I'm not done with the install yet so I havent started using the H701. I need a new headunit because my old alpine is dying slowly. I've been searching around f…
