im gonna be runnin a clarion VRX 785BT touchscreen head unit.....yellow top under the hood... and havent decided on a battery for the amp yet.. alright im pretty much decided on doin 1 18 in here and was lookin at the nightshade...the Re MT..and a couple others...wanna keepit around $800 or less for the sub and under a $900 on an amp.....i wanna get mid and high 140.s out of it at least any suggestions?

what companies should i look into? id have to email all for quotes and if they can even make me one, but i want the biggest alt i can get for the Mini. i just PMed nate @ EA, i believe i emailed iraggi months ago but i will prally email him again becuase i forgot what quote he gave me. stinger maybe? powermaster? what others are there? any help is appreciated.

so i was surfing the web and came across another forum were a guy says he wired 3-diodes together and put it on his electrical and it went from 14.10 to 15.45, so my ? is what exactly causes this to work and were do you wire them in at? it looked as tho it was on the alt, wiring?

When my friend turns up the volume on his head unit, his door speakers cut out. It sounds like a skipping cd. They will cut back on and then right back off. Setup: Infiniti 6.5 in front Cheap dual 6x9s in rear Dual XD 7500

Hi- Does anyone know of some good active crossovers that have bandpass options? All of the ones I've been looking at only do high pass and have a subwoofer output. I really need one that can do a bandpass 50 hz to 2.5 khz, or just a 2.5 khz low pass for my mids. Then a 2.5 khz high pass for the tweeters. Obviously the high pass isn't hard to find but for some reason the low pass is... Any suggestions? Budget is maxed out at around $150. Any other info required just ask and I'll let you know. Thanks!

I plugged in my moto rokr on my head unit (pioneer 5100ub) & the unit started saying "check usb" now it keeps saying that for all my usb drives. I read the manual & it says that the device had a short circuit or something. Anyone ever had this problem before? How do I fix it.

Found this PioneerGM-X524 amp with two 12"jbl subs (look like pieces of crap) on craigslist for only $100. i don't really care about the subs, but i was wondering if anyone has ever used this amp and what they have experienced with it? How does it handle heat dissipation after long periods of playing? Is it low quality? Just wondering what people have experienced with it. thanks!

alright, say i have the gains set at 1/2 on the amp. now, i plug in the knob, and turn the knob to MIN (amp gains still at 1/2) theres almost no bass. when i turn it to MAX, is it the same as my amp playing at full tilt with the gains at 1/2 if i didnt have the knob in? did i make sense? its kinda hard to explain what im trying to say...

Walking through Target the other day I saw an interesting Pioneer box out of the corner of my eye. Not expecting to see nice head decks or anything really pioneer at target, I checked it out and found they were selling CD-IB100II iPod adapters for $14 a piece! 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab with 3rd door. When I turn ignition to ACC, doors automatically lock (which they never did before). Inside, door lock button (driver's side and sometime passenger side) does not work, doors must be unlocked manually. When trying to exit, remote does not work inside the cab when I turn truck off. Once I exit and close driver door, the remote works to lock the doors 98% of the time. There are some minor variations, but that seems to be the regular gig. I could use a little help with this one. Got my alternator in and hooked up today, but had a few issues. First of all, the new alt came with a different plug. One of the wires was longer than the other three, and it was in the exact same place that there was a wire on the original plug (the original is a 4-pin, but there is only one wire leading into it. This one wire is in the same location as the one long wire in the new plug). I decided to just use the old plug, as the other three plugs on the new pin are insignificant. We fired it up, and it made a low humming sound and began to smoke. I smelled something funny, not necessarily burning but kind of like it. I have never seen an alternator smoke before, so it …

I was driving around pushing the system in my tahoe no harder than i usually do and it shut off. i get home and check fusing and all externals are good but 2 of the internal 40a fuses blew.. one has a huge black spot on it and left a bunch of nasty residue on the amp.. I plan to go out and just buy some more 40a fuses tomorrow but im wondering how in the hell it happened? connections in this vehicle are solid, or i would have blown ANL fuses. Does this happen when pushing a system pretty hard? Its just never happened and it has me concerned why it happened and COULD i have damaged my amp? Hello, i have 2 SSA ICON 12's powered by two Phoenix gold ryvals 1000watts each. each sub with their own amp. so i keep blowing the fuse and my fuse holder is now melted. so it got me thinking about taking out the inline fuse completely. good or bad?

My amp blew today:( so now i'm in the market for a new amp asap! I figured i'm just going to re do all the electrical because i was just using two o reilly batterys (not the best idea, i know) I'm running the 2 sa15s still in my Jimmy. I'm thinking I might run 2 xs power d1200's (unless you guys have other suggestions) I'm not really positive on my battery budget until I get the amp bought. I have a pair of Alpine Type-R's dual 4 ohm version. I currently have them parallel to a 2 ohm load at the amp. I fear as though my amp sucks (i know this for a fact its a Volfenhag). This is my setup and i need advice to see if i need a capacitor or not. 2001 toyota avalon xl 2 Type r's 1222d Kicker zx1000 Kenwood double din headunit This is my first system and the people at the electronics store said that i need a cap but i cannot be sure. I dont know how to do the big three upgrade. My question: Do i need a capacitor and if i dont have one will my lights be dim? and Will the alternator and battery be able to handle the power without sacrificing the dimming of lights and other electrical problems? i think the alternator gives out 80 amps stock and with the car on it is between 13.5-14.5V thanks

ok so i got a new HU and i connected everything according to what i know. my HU is a jvc kd-g820 when i plug the wires to the HU it makes a noise that you can hear is working then it stops but when i try to turn on nothing happens. my question is do i have to connect the illumination wire to the orange or to the 12v which is yellow ? since nothing happens when press any buttons

Hey everyone I need ur help on this setup of mine. I want to get two audio q 2200 amps powering 2 fi btls. How do I make sure that both amps are drawing the same amount of power and giving OUT the same amount of power to each sub?

Am not sure on this so correct me please if am wrong. I currently have a AQ2200 and was wanting to make sure am setting my gains correctly. I want to get as much clean power out of this amp as I can to really push my 15" IA DP. I spoke to the guy at AQ and he said that this amp is around 86% efficient. So just to be on the safe side lets just say its 85%. So 0.85 X 2200 gives us 1870 watts. Am running the amp at 1 ohm so would setting my gain to around 43.0 volts sound right. Oh yea, all my electrical have been upgraded (220 HO alt. extra batt, 2 runs of 0 gauge for the big 3.) Does Anyone know if this amp can run at 0.5 ohms, if so what type of power does it produce. i am lookin for a new hu that will allow me to play music and videos from my iphone and charge it at the same time.. i would like to stay below the $350. it can fit a 2din in my truck but would rather it be a single din.. ur help will be greatly appreciated
