Which position do you install the kit (1 1/2); with the radio in the upper or the lower? I've always had mine upper (sometimes with 1/2 din EQ's in the lower)... ...anybody ever placed their radio in the lower position?

Looking at going with a 16v setup so id like to pick up a 16v charger. Just wondering which everyone prefers and why. It's in between the turbo start 25A charger and the xs power 16v intelicharger or xs power 16v hf charger. Also what are the benifits of the two xs power chargers vs each other. I figure the hf is a cater charge but I don't know. Thanks. Btw I'm using the xs power batts

I know how to set the gains with a DMM by reading the sticky post by im confused on 2 things 1)when setting a 4 channel amp with 2 gains(1 for each 2 channels)how do you get each gain?my amp puts out 75w x 4(@ 4ohm) 2)When it said if ur amp puts out more watts than ur subs can handle use the watts of the subs instead.so lets just say a amp is 1500w @ 2ohm and the subs is 600w each so do i add the watts of the subs and find the square root of them then measure the volts?(For example 600w x 2ohm =1200-squarerooted = 34.6v)

yeah, im looking for a good head unit. got a question to you bassheads out there: with all that bass, will it mess up the cd/dvd reader at all? i was thinking bout something like the pioneer package with the dvd, navigation double din touchscreen with the ipod cable as well. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_13353_...AVIC-F90BT.html i currently have the stock stereo with a cable from my ipod to the aux input in the stereo and it seems that the data part on the ipod has been damaged slightly(its loose and i have to actaully move the cable around, and no the cable is not damaged) [my friend says its cause of the bass, but i dont have alot only 2 FI 15" BLs] so then i was…

I currently have an Alpine 9843 HU in my car which is currently powering 4 Infinity 6022i's. I want to get two 12" BL subs and will be powering them with a sundown 1500d (will be getting a 2nd one when i get more money). I have about 400$ to spend on a new headunit, and would like to get a motorized DVD one, but if i can't get a decent one i'll just get a normal CD player. So, do you guys think i'll need a new HU, and if so any suggestions?

So i'm currently running a 12" Icon and while it's an awesome sub, Im wanting to go bigger already. I just want to push a lot more air. I'm pretty set on an 18" Fi BL or maybe 2 18" Q's. I'm wanting to feed it more power though also so Im thinking of either buying another 1000D and strapping them together, or selling my 1000D and picking up a 3000D. Would that be overkill? Ive got an Eddie Bauer Explorer(v8) and already have the Big 3 upgrade. I'll be picking up an Iraggi alt. and a Yellow Top as well. Would I need to run two batteries with this setup?

  14. I'm about to install my system, looking around at the stuff I have sitting around, and I started to wonder if there may be a better way to do this. Here's my plan: PG RSd 65 components in Front 2x Sundown SD-1 (the old 8 ohm ones - which creates part of my dilemma) sealed in 1.5^3ft. Sundown SAX-100.4 So, the original plan was simple, run the components off the front channels using the passive XO included with them. Run the subs parallel off the rear channels of the amp. Lots of flexibility with the subsonic filters, bass boost, active XO in the sundown, as well as some basic stuff on my HU. Simple right? Then, I realized I have this old RF 200a4 sitting here unused. …

I am getting two 600w rms 4ohm subs and I am getting a mono amp. I was wondering If I wired both subs together into the amp, How would the power be split to goto each sub. Also Would it drop the impedance to 2ohms. So if it did that would I have to get DVC subs? So, for two 600w rms subs single or dual voice coil subs, what would be a good mono amplifier to use to push them to the full 600 watts. Thanks ~Thomas

Got my spare change right and I'm getting ready to get my DC alternator its a 250 Amp large case "hybrid" that does 140 amp at idle. Is this enough with one D2400 under hood (in car now) & a second one (needs to be purchased) in the trunk to give my 3000d the current it needs?

My amp blew today:( so now i'm in the market for a new amp asap! I figured i'm just going to re do all the electrical because i was just using two o reilly batterys (not the best idea, i know) I'm running the 2 sa15s still in my Jimmy. I'm thinking I might run 2 xs power d1200's (unless you guys have other suggestions) I'm not really positive on my battery budget until I get the amp bought. I'm trying to keep my amp budget right around $500. Thanks guys!

My question to the amp gurus is what amp i should use for the pair. I could always parallel the remaining wires to a 1 ohm load to a mono block. Wondering what kind of amp would be the best. 1997 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab with 3rd door. When I turn ignition to ACC, doors automatically lock (which they never did before). Inside, door lock button (driver's side and sometime passenger side) does not work, doors must be unlocked manually. When trying to exit, remote does not work inside the cab when I turn truck off. Once I exit and close driver door, the remote works to lock the doors 98% of the time. There are some minor variations, but that seems to be the regular gig. I could use a little help with this one. Thx

So currently I have a Pioneer 7800MP and like the availability to tweek my crossover settings. My new interest is to have a HU capable of playing DVD's but still able to have a nice crossover. My budget is only as high as $600, maybe more if it does everything I want. Similar crossover capabilities to my current deck is what I really want. I don't think I will be going active anytime in the future so that isn't an issue. The deck in the topic is what I'm currently looking at and was curious if anyone has had any experience with it. Thanks in advance!
