im gonna mix the Rainbow SLC mids with the CS tweets. now my questions is, which crossover do i use? the soundline or the countour?

my stock alt just went bad and i need a ho alt. i need some opinions. i have a 2000 gmc jimmy.

what is the best way to set ur amps using lpf, hpf and your subsonic filer. what is the purpose of lpf and hpf. the box that i am using is sealed. the subs that i am running are kicker cvx's (1000 watt rms) and i am using hifoinics amps (2000 watt rms, i know they really rnt) and i run my subs at 1 ohm.

I have a stupid question, but can you strap an AQ 2200 to an AQ 1200 and run 2 subs on it or would it put it wayyy out of phase or something

Just getting ideas for the next system. I want two 15's max depth of box is 26" and max width is 34-36". Height can vary. I am thinking of icons (I want my next subs to be from ssa) And am just trying to find good amplifier options. I would like something less expensive than the 2000D, but if it comes to it, that is just what i will get. Any good amplifiers that will put 2000wrms out at one or two ohms?

I know how to set the gains with a DMM by reading the sticky post by im confused on 2 things 1)when setting a 4 channel amp with 2 gains(1 for each 2 channels)how do you get each gain?my amp puts out 75w x 4(@ 4ohm) 2)When it said if ur amp puts out more watts than ur subs can handle use the watts of the subs instead.so lets just say a amp is 1500w @ 2ohm and the subs is 600w each so do i add the watts of the subs and find the square root of them then measure the volts?(For example 600w x 2ohm =1200-squarerooted = 34.6v)

This is where i want to make sure i can do this... Instead of strapping mono channel amps together, can u strap amps that have been internally strapped? IE - one board is sold as a 1500w amp @1ohm and another amp has 2 of these boards in it rated at 3000w @2ohm.. Which amp would work better with a Mach 5 Audio IXL 15, The sundown saz 1500d or the sae 1000d?

My car has a stock 78amp alternator, but I will be swapping in a 140 amp alternator from a different car. (car is an 87 Buick regal, new alternator will be from 90's caprice). Will this upgrade be enough to run an ed NINe.1 at 1ohm without adding more batts? The amps max draw is 160amps, but not sure what it will draw under normal use. I have the big 3 done in 4 gauge and a regular battery.

I have a rockford punch 501s bridged to a polkmomo 15 at 2 ohm and it gets too hot and shuts off after about 30-45 min. Bass boost is all the way down and gain is @ 3/4. Gain knobs r messed up though because any less then that the sub is unnoticable. I always ran it at 4 ohm before and never got hot or had any problems. Now it just gets smokin hot. At least 7 years old or so. I guess I should just keep it as a 2 channel then huh?

I am still waiting on pioneer's avic f90Bt because they have to do a firmware update like 3 or 4 weeks out anyone else dealing with this. I have been waiting for 2 months now, any input on kenwoods DNX 8120 in how it compares Im getting tired of waiting. Should I go with the Kenwood or stick it out for the pioneer?

Hi SSA Members, Im looking to do a single battery in the trunk of my 1997 chevy cavalier, i will be running a single aq3500 with a single 12" Fi Audio BTL. now i already have a high output alternator that does 200 amps max and 90-100 at idle. and i have a battery up front (yellow top) that will go away so i conform to the rules of DB drag of a single 650 cu inch battery. now all i need is the battery. The only one ive seen so far that i think meets the rule is the Kinetic HC2000. But im not an electrical mastermind and quite frankly i have no idea how to get a good electrical system going. so i need a battery, and maybe some hints as to how to do the single battery in …

I have plans to run an AudioQue AQ2200D in a 2001.5 Passat (call it a 2002). I'd like to know what I need as far as electrical upgrades. I'd also like to know what a batcap would/wouldn't do for someone that likes to have a constant beat going. I havent really heard much about wiring full range speakers. I am hoping to get a new amp for my sub and i was wondering if i could wire both my front and back door speakers with my 2 channel powerbass asa 400.2 it should put out about 200 rms times 2 at 2 ohms and i didnt know if you could wire door speakers together or not.... I just havent heard anything about it. My reasoning is because they have to direct the freq to two different places so idk if both speakers would get all the signal... Lol its a noob question i know...
