hi, i have been using my psp for music lately and the difference in volume from a cd and that is huge and i am wondering how can i go about making it louder? i figure i might be able to use a linedriver but then i got to thinkin that might mess stuff up since most are 8 volt line drivers so if a head unit only has 4 volts preamp i can see problems. so can only one shine some light on this. of btw i am getting a Alpine CDA-9885 ( i need a decently cheap but still a decent headunit right now.)

I am getting two 600w rms 4ohm subs and I am getting a mono amp. I was wondering If I wired both subs together into the amp, How would the power be split to goto each sub. Also Would it drop the impedance to 2ohms. So if it did that would I have to get DVC subs? So, for two 600w rms subs single or dual voice coil subs, what would be a good mono amplifier to use to push them to the full 600 watts. Thanks ~Thomas

  5. I have had this system for over a year and it has been working fine until I got a short on the remote wire coming from my amp and going into the remote IN on the lc2i. It shut my system off, so I installed a new remote wire. once I installed the new remote wire my system worked again however I woke up the next day to find my battery was dead. It turns out I accidentally had a few strands of wire coming off of the lc2i's remote IN and touching the 12v port causing my amp to stay on all night. My issue is that when I properly install the wire into the remote IN port, It no longer turns my amp on. Could the remote IN port on the lc2i be bad or am I missing something else tha…

  7. hey guys u have a fi bl 18in dual 1 ohm going to a 1200gto jbl amp at 1200watts rms at 2ohm. i want to make sure that i had this right when i go to set my gains. So i put the 50hz tone. The math is 1200X2(rmsXimdependance) then take the square root of that so i should get 48.98 so when i go to set my gains and i use the volt metter i should set it until i get to 48.98. im pretty sure thats how you do it but just wanna double check dont wanna blow my sub im goin to post pics soon the box for it is amazing custom paint by friend

Am not sure on this so correct me please if am wrong. I currently have a AQ2200 and was wanting to make sure am setting my gains correctly. I want to get as much clean power out of this amp as I can to really push my 15" IA DP. I spoke to the guy at AQ and he said that this amp is around 86% efficient. So just to be on the safe side lets just say its 85%. So 0.85 X 2200 gives us 1870 watts. Am running the amp at 1 ohm so would setting my gain to around 43.0 volts sound right. Oh yea, all my electrical have been upgraded (220 HO alt. extra batt, 2 runs of 0 gauge for the big 3.) Does Anyone know if this amp can run at 0.5 ohms, if so what type of power does it produce. Any…

  16. I am going to be running, eventually, 2 BTLs off 2 Sundown SAZ-3000s. I'm throwing in a DC power AD 250 Special Purpose. DC is building it custom for my car and is the best offer I can find. Thanks Robbie. Anyways, now, the LAST THING I have to decide it what battery. I have it down to Batcap 2000(already have 1) and PM 3100. I'm going to get around 2 more for now, more later. What is better for a daily with a whole nutload of power? Could I mix and match? 2 and 2? try and get the best of both worlds? Thanks!

I have a chance to buy a Diamond D7 D7054 for a pretty good deal, BNIB. My question is, should i buy it and put my bass on hold. I can get the d7054 now and get my new subwoofer amplifier later, and get my Fi Q about a month later. The good news is i could sell off my eclipse ea4000 to try and re-coup what i lost in buying the legendary d7 amp. Some of the things i have going on right now. Looking to get a h/o alt and a kinetik hc1400/1800 Upgrading to 1/0 power and grounds, and doing the big 3. Maybe eventually getting a new front sound stage.

  21. I am ordering 2 RE XXX 6.5c sets. And am planning to use the sundown amp to power it all. Do I use the front or rear rca output on my deck to the amp. One component set in my front doors one in my rear doors. Or does it matter since I will be using the x-over network provided with the comp set.

Hello. I need help selecting an amp for a Cerwin Vega 12" Stoker. My budget is $500. I had my eyes set on a Hifonics XXV- Colossus. Supposedly it's rated 1x3200@ 2-Ohms, which sounds like more than enough to power a stroker efficiently, but after some reading in this forum, the brand now sounds like borderline garbage. I also hear that this speaker requires a very large custom box, or is that also a myth? I have a 99 Crown Vic, so space is no object. Is there anyone here that builds them, or online? If not can anyone help me with specs to take to a local audio shop? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I went to reinstall my 1500d, but after only glancing at what side the power and ground are on I mixed them up. Ive heard the 1500d has internal fuses, but after seeing the protect light I took it out and didnt see any fuses on the inside. Am I out of luck and blew my amp? I tried switching the wires to the correct sides, but I dont get a light period that way.
