Ok so I mounted my amp on my enclosure. Well after blasting my system for a couple months it failed. One day my sub started sounding slappy. So I took my sub out, looked okay. Put it back in its place. Well I checked everything wiring etc. I then moved my amp around and heard a rattle. This is what I found, broken off capacitor, thats what DBR told me it was. And then I found 2 burned resistors behind the RCA input/outputs. Anyone that can help me get this back to playing please hit me up. Which puts more of a strain on alt. Pros and cons of extra battery or cap. I never plan on playing my system with the car off. Just trying to keep my voltage up. Looking at buying one of these,but cant find any user reviews anywhere. Does anyone run hertz amps? This thing supposedly makes 2k at 2 ohm! Seems pretty badass!

Hey guys Im having issues trying to find a decent mounting kit for my dime. I have a 2000 but I have gone from 1.5 DIN to 2 DIN. THe thing I dont like is that I had to cut the plastic piece that the OEM stereo rested on. So now the HU I have just kinda floats. I was wondering if anyone knows of a mounting kit that will stop this, something like a pocket that it will slide into. Thanks in advance.

My buddy gave me an idea on how to mount my amp, but it will touching the batteries...will that harm anything when the amp is on?

I am thinking of using a Powermaster d3100 as an extra battery just for the 3k. i can't really change out the alternator as the truck is under warranty and I don't want to tamper with it and void the warranty. It's in an 05 F-150. All wiring is 0 guage. Here's what I need to know: I know that the amp-hour measurement is the most important, as anything above 120 or so is the bare minimum this amp needs. Also, how do I go about setting this up with the D3100 and the stock battery w/out cooking my alternator? I haven't done much with multi-battery setups so I want to make sure this is done right. I am going to Gain match the Amps using a Dmm & an O-scope, anyone done this ? have any input on how to get the most outta the amps without Overdriving them ??? just want to do it different than Strapped any constructive suggestions or input is welcome

I have a 2006 Corolla Type S. My alternator is 70 amps. I have a Batcap 800 as kinda like a 2nd battery for my JBL GTO 1201.1 II amp that puts out 1100 watts at 2 ohms. My system dims a lil bit but not too badly at night. I had a pair of Kicker CVX 12s powered off this amp and one blew and I sold the other one. I also had a pair of Orion HP12s and one blew and I still have the other one. The reason the HP blew though was I was playing Trap or Die by Young Jeezy with my iPods Bass Booste on to make the song hit harder like an idiot lol (I know not to do that ever again). So while I was deployed to the middle east I acquired my car audio equipment. But now I'd like to know what amp alternators and batteries would work best for my system. I'll be running a 15 BTL off of a Soundstream DTR2200 which should push 2200 watts to 1 ohm. I'll also have a 4 channel Soundstream amp pushing 100 watts a piece to 4 6.5s in the doors of my Tahoe. It'll be ran off of a Pioneer deck. I've heard al lot about Optima batteries but have read mixed reviews on them. As far as alternators, I'm open to any decent brand that audiophiles have had luck with. Thanks in advance for the help.

I've had my setup out of my car for several months now but i still have both 200A solenoids in the car because the input wire is still hot and the fuse for it is in a place that is hard to get to and i'll change it out once i replace my starting battery. i have been trying to set my amps but am not getting a good reading im always getting 2. some odd volts then when i turn gain up i get OL. i was thinking since my amp is a pg xenon 600.1 that i would not be able to set it because the amp detects the ohms while the speakers are hooked up, i think thats how it works.

I need help choosing an amplifier for a Kicker CVT 10 that I’m going to purchase soon. But if one 10 isn’t good enough for me I was planning on getting a second one. So what I was wondering is if there is a sub that I can start out with and give it the power the one sub requires and also if I were to wire up a second CVT 10 to the amp, also have those two subs well powered. I have a question if anyone can help answer it. this is the problem i'm having. i have 2 of the fi 18 bl's. i'm running them with 2 of the mtx 7801d amps. 1 per sub. this is the part that gets weird. i have all thing hooked up but not the remote wire to the amps yet. the subs start freaking out. when the gains and the db boost on the amps are turned all down the subs still move a little without signal from the deck yet. as soon as you start to increase the gains the subs do it again. like i said NO signal from the deck. i have to use the db boost on the amps, because as soon as i hook up the bass knob the subs freak out. i'm kind of lost. when i have hooked up the remote …

i'm looking for a amp to power 2 fi bl 18s. well right now im looking at the audioque 2200 for 389 shipped and the audiopipe 3000d for 386 shipped. what other amps should i look at for bout $400? also i'm looking for a amp that has a warranty.

So the fan was not working off my Memphis 16pr1.5kd so I pulled it out and opened it up. Two lines lead from the fan area to a potentiometer. Then looking around some more I find three pins with a jumper across two. Next to that says subsonic on and off. I don't have any adjustment for a ssf on the outside, but could this be set to "on" then the potentiometer used to adjust the it? Or is this potentiometer linked to the fan somehow? I'll be checking to see if the fan works as I've pulled that out. If someone could link or send me a layout of this board that would be helpful, thanks!
