ok so my stock harness is fudgeed....how do i know? i hooked up the stock deck.. and i attached a HONDA wiring harness to it and wired up my Eclipse, still no good.. so i decided to wire up the HU directly.. only problem now is i need a direct illumination wire, help plz?

I was wondering what type of amp i should get to power 2 12 RL-Ps so that they can still bump real loud but have good sound quality. I am looking for an amp that is not to expensive. Hopefully under 250 if possible. I have been recommended the Hifonics Hifonics BX1205D/BX1605D, are there any comments on those amps? Will they work well? Any other amps that may be able to do the job? Thanks. Mike

i was wondering since you guys have a bit of experiance, but i have a ford windstar 1996 with a Alpine 9816, was was wondering should i upgrade? cause the am getting attracted to the NEW sony's with Tilt and the Kenwoods with Tilt. would it matter if i changed? make a difference in quality or sound? if so any recommendations on a good HU with tilt.

Well the price finally went down far enough!!!! $299 from cartoys with warranty!!! Picking it up tonight. Then turning around and selling the 8052 for $150 Pics either tonight or tomorrow. What can I say, this is the HU I have wanted forever

In the coming weeks, I'm going to need to install: MB Quart 5.25 component set, Orion 8002, Orion 1200D, and ReSX 15" into a Mazda 6. For anyone that has seen the stock HU on the 6, You'll know that I'm NOT replacing it. I'm not gonna cut and glass a new console cover for just a HU, not too mention that we would lose functionality of a in dash LCD display (showing ambient temp, radio station / disc info), as well as inset steering wheel controls. To top it off, this car belongs to somone who cares very little about the SQ & control gains of a nice aftermarket HU. Plan is to tap the rear door speaker leads and run them into an EQ/Xover preamp. Hello, I just purchased a Diamond Audio D7152 two channel amp. I plan to use it for my front stage which would be the Hex S600s components. The rear fills will be raw midbase drivers from DA's D661 series and they'll be hooked up via Diamond's RAF feature. I'm not sure I want to keep this amp because after getting myself more acquainted with it, it's way too high end for me. It' got more tweaking features than my home theater. I really should have gotten something simpler especially since I only listening to music to and from work. tomorrow is quiver on the river, a TP usaci outlaw spl event..last year i took first in my class with a 145.5 using two 15" treo ss's (yeah, the ones that claimed a rear glass in a ryan built box, helped crack my windshield[rock chip]) using a memphis st1000d...in my old dodge. well, i've got the orion in my truck at .5ohm (roughly 27-2800wrms b4 impedence rise) on a s18x...would u think that's stronger then a mojo running at 2ohms? i have a borrowed st series (i believe.it's silver chrome with the non flamed logo) sitting on my dining table. would it handle .5ohm for burps? a local world champion says the mojo is stronger at 2 ohm then the orion at .5ohm...i know he know…

Alright, I'm in a 99 xplorer and hookin up in that group buy for 2 12" Rl-p D2 and I'm goin with a LSQ system with a ported box, any thoughts on what amp/s i should go with to make this system nice. IS 389 from an authorized dealer a good price on this thing? Actually, is it a great price? If it is an awesome price I might have to pick it up, but if its just a pretty good price then I think i'll pass. The reason is, I would have to call my godfather and he's in Italy. I wanted to find out the best location for a line driver... (here by reffered to as LD) by that I mean is there benifits of having the LD close to the HU unit? or close to the amps? for example in my truck amps sit in the rear

I was wondering if my 2000 Neon will hold 1000W rms without a alternator upgrade or a battery upgrade, the battery does around 650CCA while hot and around 550CCA when its cold. And iam not really sure what the alternator can pu out, i have been looking all over the inernet and i havent been able to find out, people tell me that i should be fine with a cap or nothing, and some tell me to get a 1 farad cap. What should i do?

I have a JVC KD-Dv500 head unit. It plays everything, including dvd's. It is dolby 5.1 ready, w/ the digital toslink output. I am looking at a PhoenixGold 5.1 amp for everything except my sub, that has the toslink input. SO, my question is, it I hook up the head unit to the amp with the digital cable, would I still need to use RCA's, or does the digital cable take the place of them? MattB
