Hey guys, looking for a nice headunit for my 2005 Prius (don't judge) Looking to do a sub install soon enough as well. Any suggestons on a nice headunit? Budget around $150

I'm building a new box soon for my rl-p 18, and was just thinking of a better way to wire my sub(not wiring it to a different load, just wiring it to one ohm differently. Its a d2 and my amp is a saz1000d. the way its wired now, its just like the image on the 12 volt, wired parallel. the problem is that where the pos and neg go into the sub from the amp, the terminal isnt large enough to cram two 10 gauge wires in. In order to get it in i had to shave a bunch off of it to fit them in. Is it possible to just run one pos from the amp to one on the sub, then run the other pos on the amp to the other pos on the sub since it is a mono amp? thanks

Now that the "Digital Conversion" has happened, can I receive the 10 or so digital channels in the car? I've see some of the digital converter boxes that run on 12 volts. What I"m really trying to get at is "How well can you receive the signal while in motion?" . I've seen it used for things like tailgating, where the vehicle is stationary. If possible I wanna be able to watch the local news on my way home from work or catch the Simpsons, etc.

Hi have a problem have 2 saz 3000 amp strapped who master and slave, ven conect the master slave cabel i get alternator sound, just only ven strapped, anybody have a sulution??

Was curious if anyone knew if this would fit or be able to install in a 2005 jimmy. On crutchfield when I fill in my year make and model it says it cant be installed. This does not make sence to me as its not a huge double din or anything. The response only meen they don't have the kit for it? Maybe a kit for this model to work with a Jimmy doesnt exhist anymore? I don't know why a reg size deck would not work. car= 2005 jimmy 2door. No bells and whistles. standard, no steering wheel controls or anything. 1st piece to go with: Hertz HSK165 6.5 components for front. Fi Q12 in ported enclosure Soundqubed Q1-1200D at 1ohm Soundqubed Q4-120 for components.

I am needing to upgrade my battery, but would like to know which setup is better since they cost roughly the same amount. First I will be running an American Pro VS-1407 and a Sundown SAE-1200Dv2. I plan to upgrade my starting battery. So would it be better for the car and the stereo to run a Duralast Gold up front and a Kinetik HC800 in the back OR to run only a Kinetik HC1800?

I recently bought a kinetik hc2000 from amazon.com, price wasnt too bad at all.. now im looking and there out of stock for a while, dont know when they will have more. shipping is estimated at 1-2 months,.. i cant wait that long lol.. Is there anywhere else you guys know of to purchase these battery's at a good price?

i know the amp will put out alot of power with out having to strap batteries. im running 1/0 guage and im putting a sundown nightshade d1 15" sub in my s10 blazer im using the system for steet loud

okay so heres the deal. i have 2 ssa icons, thinking (going to buy) adding 2... more so here: 4 SSA icons 12's i need amps to power them. i'm looking at spending $750 (about) for amps (would love to only run 2) was thinking about hifonics brutus but after reading some posts they seem like garbage. what amps? another question would be nice to be answer is: how would you go upon hooking up 2 subs to a single monoblock? is it as simple as twisting wires togeather or is it no advised to do such thing.

What is the best way to decide on a head unit? My budget is no more than $250. I want something that looks clean, functions well, and sounds good too. Does anyone have any experience with the Alpine iDA-X303?

I'm trying to figure out what electrical setup I need to support a 3000+ watt system. I'm thinking a DC power 270A H.O. Alternator, XS Power XP3000 battery as a secondary, as well as 1/0 through out , of course I could be off with this assumption.

I'm looking at getting a Deka 9A31 (actually the O'reilly branded one that's the same thing). For my Dodge Magnum. The Magnum has the battery in the rear and I do not have a suitable place to run a second battery so I want a battery I can run alone, no other starting battery. Will the 9A31 handle being a daily driver? I came across some truck/bus forum that mentioned that they did not have good luck with them. In addition to being the starting battery it will be running a pair of Sundown 100.2's and a Sundown 1500d and I have the factory 160 amp alternator. So I need help, I have a 2008 ford escape and currently I have my system(2 12"s) hooked up to the stock radio through a line output convertor. I believe that my system would sound twice as good if I was to install an aftermarket head unit. Ok I am looking for a complete amp wiring kit. It will be going to a Autotek 1000.1 amp, and two JL w6v2's in a sealed box. I am not to sure what to look at considering the amp wiring kit. I want a 4 gauge main wire but my question is how do I look at the watts? what does it have mainly to do with and what is the appropriate watts for the kit?

How do I connect my subs to my Amp to Bring it down to 2ohms? The amp rating is 200x4ohms 400x2ohms 800x4ohms Bridging the amp L- R+ brings the amp to 800x4ohms So I was wondering how to do I connect it to bring it down to 400x2ohms. Right now it's connected R+ R- and I don't know if that's 200x4ohms or 400x2ohms. Please help.

Hey guys,I'm purchasing a few things for my 2003 GTI and I was wondering how much of a difference (quality wise) a head unit would be. I was suggested Alpine CDA 9887, but was wondering if it would really improve the sound, or should I just stick with something cheaper, since I am in school and kind of strapped for cash to get a head unit with all that stuff. What I plan to purchase: Helix HXS 136 Esprit Sundown SAX-125.2 Fi Q12 Diamond audio D3 800.1 or Sundown SAZ1500D(used) Cheers!

Is the RCA out on the slave amp still live or is it defeated along with the other functions IE: gain, LPF, subsonic, etc.? Reason I am asking is with the RCA lengths and the way my amps are installed is it would give me a cleaner look if I could use the RCA out on one my slave amp to the RCA in of the other strapped pair's master. Here is a pic, I want the top 2 amps to be the master and slaves on bottom. I want to run RCA under and between amps rather than on top. I have nothing working right now so I cant check it for myself and dont want to get that far and find out it wont work. Cliffs: does the RCA output of the slave amp still work when strapped? Thanks!
