Hi everybody. I recently had my starter set up installed (2 sa-12s dvc 1 sax-1200 wired to one ohm). It was not hitting hard and then it just went completely inaudible, although bass was still slightly there. I realize the not hitting hard part was most likely a wiring issue. I took it into a car audio shop, we opened it up and the guy told me that i blew it, still very puzzling. The gain wasn't set beyond half way and I blew it, but have no idea how. Hi guys im be in a process of putting 2 dc xl on 2 aq 2200s strapped and my h/o is a 125amp if i get a xs d7500 will be enough for my aq2200s or get a 270 amp alt and d3100 be good im low on cash right now thats y im asking if a xs d7500 be enough help

I am doing some minor repairs to a Kicker ZR-1000 that I picked up cheap. Does anybody know if it is possible to jump across the docking port and run it full range just to check it out or is there some sort of circut on those modules necessary for for the amp to operate? It seems simple enough, but I'm guessing this may not be possible. I know the owners manual says not to even power it up without a module.

Okay heres the deal. I have two Mach 5 SPL-12s. I currently have them for sale. However numerous people on a few forums say I'll regret selling them. I'm trying to figure out how much it'll cost me to get these things going. I have a camper shell already for my truck, but I need accordian gasket to go between the truck and the camper shell. I am not sure what I'd do for amp(s). I would like to get a SAZ-3000D refurb but I dobut I can afford it. I have been looking at the Audiopipe AP3000.1D, which is like $350. I was given an old MTX TP3002 from my girlfriends dad the other day because he didn't think it worked anymore. Well, I replaced all the fuses and terminals. I wired it up and it worked fine. Hooked it to an 8 ohm speaker to test, and it worked. I took it to my car and hooked it to 2 SA-8's bridged at 4 ohms. The subs started popping, then the amp shut off and smoke poured out. The gains and everything were all the way down. Anyone know what could have happened? It worked fine on my test bench in the garage, then fried in my car when subs were wired to it.

Ordered the Pio AVH-P8400BH 2 Din Deck and the MLA module. Hoping the Pio is a solid performing HU and does pretty good for me with the Ipod connection. Anyone here using one? Price I got was 475.00 new from Crutchfield with free priority shipping. Also ordered the MLA module from Missing Link, to help with my voltage maxing at 13.8. Would love to see it go up in the 14.8-15.1 range, should be good for my 3 D3400s. My EA Alt is installed and sitting at constant 13.8-14.1 so I know it's the car limiting the charging range. Should be fun playing when I get back from business. Hopefully my second sub will be there when I get back from business, and all should be good.

Anybody using/have used this xover? Pros, cons, noise issues? As a now I'm running an Audio Control DQXS to cross my bass mids and tweets. My plan is to add the HK3X into the mix to bandpass the midbass and continue to let the DQXS handle the subs midrange and tweets.

lol so my friend is debatin whether to keep his mtx thunder 1200 or sell it and either get 2 audioque 1200's he wants to know which amp is better? mtx thunder 1200 or audioque 1200 yall tell me and will the audioque fit 0 guage wire?

Just ordered the alpine and i know i can not use video with my iphone 5 like an older iphone but i had an idea tho im not sure if it will work. What if i get the lighning digital av adapter from apple (HDMI for mirroring onto your tv) and then I get a HDMI to RCA adaptor and hook that up to the video in, sounds like it would work what do you guys think.

Ok I am trying to set my car up as SQ so I am lookin into another Nine.1 and another 2 ch so I can go 3-way active....only one lil problem my car has 100% stock Electrical. I found a few places to get an alt for about $350 for a 200 amp unit, here is the kicker tho.... I was looking at the do it yourself manuals at autozone (Haynes I think) and its telling me I have to pull both axles and pull the K member, then drop the motor 6 inches or so to get it out!!! My crossover have a problem so im selling it and don't know if i should buy a new crossover or signal processor or buy a pioneer player with 2/3 pre out? Cant afford alpine and dont like sony, it cant read all cd, Will a crossover/signal processor compensate for a normal h/U? im now using a pioneer deh1650 i think, the normal model

I have a 2001 Blazer 4 door 4.3L 2WD and i think my alternator is bad. The things i have nticed are when i have the car at idle and i give it gas to about 3000RPM and let it go, the volts according to the gauge cluster go from 14.16 down to 13 volts and then it jumps back to 14.13-16 on idle. Another thing that i have noticed is i have a 1000watt RMS car audio systm and when i have my music up decently loud. My sub cuts out until i lower the volume a bit. The battery i have unde the hood is a brand new optima yellow top. The one with the light grey casing. I also have the big 3 upgrade using 1/0 tsunami oxygen free compotion power wire. I know some people have issues with Maxxsonics stuff, but they do have a few decent lines. The new Hifonics GLX and ZRX lines look pretty good. Im pretty sure the GLX is the BRZ/BRE replacement, and the ZRX is the ZXI replacement. GLX costs more then the ZRX, but has better X-Overs, and should be their more premium line. Though the ZRX line looks better to me. Just ordered the new Hifonics GLX100.4 since its smaller and will fit under my seat, and should handle a nice set of comps and a lower end sub setup well. I picked up a used SAZ1500 for $50 off Facebook Marketplace, guy thought it didn't work. Figured I'd send it for repair, and be into a great amp for under $200. Got it home, fiddled with it, and found that none of the controls work, but if I run a signal through the slave input, it does indeed work. So it's stuck in slave mode. Does anyone know how to get it out of slave mode? I'd love to be able to set the gain properly, dial my system in the way it should be done. just a quick one here guys. i currently own a optima red top grp35 and 2 kenetik hc800s. i am running a saz-2000d and sax-100.4 sub is the btl 18 fully loaded my question is... i am getting a HO alt as soon as i figure out what car i am doing this to but do i need to change my battery's. i am putting the optima up front witch is brand new.the hc800's come from the old setup but still work fine. Will the hc800s be enough for what i have and will they hold up until i get my HO alt?

What size are the screws that hold the mounting bracket on the amp?
