I dislike the dimming of my lights and i never want to it happen again. Right now i have 3 Fi SSD's with a RF t1000.1BD and a T500.1BD powering them. I have a 200Amp Alt and one optima yellow top. I haven't installed the equipment yet, so i don't know if it will dim. I have 2 electrical fans that drop my volt gauge from 14.5 to 13.5 and when i have my lights on theres no volt drop at all. Considering the fans draw 20-30 amps each, that isn't that bad. I have the Big 3 upgraded with 0/1 awg. Grounds from my frame to battery, body to battery, block to frame, and frame to cab. I have damn grounds everywhere The real question is, i want to be able to run my fans, lights, ster…

My car has a stock 78amp alternator, but I will be swapping in a 140 amp alternator from a different car. (car is an 87 Buick regal, new alternator will be from 90's caprice). Will this upgrade be enough to run an ed NINe.1 at 1ohm without adding more batts? The amps max draw is 160amps, but not sure what it will draw under normal use. I have the big 3 done in 4 gauge and a regular battery.

  8. So I was just about to buy the AudioControl lc2i and I saw that it has "2 speaker-level inputs with 400 watts RMS power handling". I have 2 crescendo bc2000s and going to have 1 crescendo c1100.4. I won't be using them all at full output, but somewhere around 3.2k rms all together. Does that mean it can be hooked up to speakers that are getting up to 400 rms or does it mean that it can only support amps up to 400 rms. I looked at reviews to see if others have used with more power and they were all under 600 rms. I didn't see any other LOCs that support more power. Will the lc2i work? If it is that I can't use this one, are there any other LOCs I can? Thanks. http://www.cr…

OK.. I will have three amps. Fuse ratings of amps- 30, 40, 150... will my stock alt (125 amps), the big three, and a 18 farad cap be able to hold up? I got like an autocraft titanium battery too.. The cap is optional, since I know many of you believe caps don't work. I will be running 480 watts rms to 4 pairs of tweets 300 watts rms to speakers 1300 watts rms to the sub. I like to play my system all the way cranked for a long time... Will my electric be able to hold up to this, or am I going to need to buy a new alt?

I drive a small car with a 70amp alt and a regular battery up front and with a kicker zx750 and a old sony 50x4 my lights dimmed. I currently am running like 100x2 for my subs so its not dimming but I am looking at 1200-1500rms for bl 15 most likely. I am wondering if putting a kinetik in the trunk is enough or if my alt won't even be able to keep up.

I've got a '03 Chevy Trailblazer LTZ, with a stock battery and 150amp alt. If I run a SAZ 1500d with my DC 15, will my stock electrical system be able to handle this? Or should I install a second battery in the back? Big 3? Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

  13. I currently have a 12" fi ssd (800 rms) with an alpine pdx 1.600 (600-700 rms), and I'm thinking of upgrading to 2 fi ssd 12"s with the new saz-1200d. I'm willing to upgrade from 4 to 1/0 wire, and I already have a yellow top, but will the stock alt in an 03 passat be able to keep up without terrible voltage drop?

  14. Here's the thing, i was considering getting 2 - 12" older model p3s, 2ohm subwoofers, Power Handling (Watts RMS): 400 Watts RMS 800 Watts Max With this amp http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/details/p1000x2 Rated Power (RMS Continuous Power): 300 Watts x 2 @ 4-Ohm 500 Watts x 2 @ 2-Ohm wired with the 2ohm version If i can't find the older ones in 2ohm, i've come across the 4ohms, but wiring them would only deliver 300 watts, is this enough or do i have to get the 10"(which only require 300)? going in the trunk of a car, have 39" width and want to do less than 8" deep, ~16-18 high(considering leaving a spot on th…

I have heard that a big solid chunk of wire has alot of resistance so thinking along those lines I was wondering if using a wire adapter was bad or not. In case you don't know what I am talking about I am talking about reducing for example 1/0 guage to 4 guage by using one of these http://www.cardomain.com/item/STIS04ADAPT
